Holiday Harbor RV Park Introduce
Seeking a "camping near me" getaway? Consider Holiday Harbor RV Park, situated at 9415 Blind Sodus Bay Rd, Red Creek, NY 13143, USA. You can reach them at (315) 947-2125 or their mobile number +1 315-947-2125 for inquiries and reservations. Holiday Harbor RV Park offers a unique setting with waterfront access and a mix of experiences reported by its visitors.
One camper described their first season at Holiday Harbor RV Park as a "little piece of heaven." They highlighted the accommodating nature of the owners, who also have a site there, and the welcoming atmosphere created by many of the other campers. This reviewer particularly enjoyed the gatherings held within the park and the stunning natural beauty of the location, noting the sunrise over the bay and the sunset over the lake. The opportunities for kayaking and fishing were also mentioned as significant positives, contributing to a beautiful and peaceful stay. This positive feedback suggests that Holiday Harbor RV Park can offer a delightful experience, especially for those seeking a friendly community and access to water-based activities.
However, another review presents a contrasting perspective. This camper, who stayed at the "newer" sites in the back of the park, found some of the permanent residents to be unfriendly, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. They felt that their presence in the newer section was not appreciated by some long-term residents. Additionally, this reviewer pointed out that the newer sites are quite small, with campers parked very close to each other. They also cautioned owners of "big rigs" against camping in the back due to tight spaces and overhanging trees that could potentially scratch their vehicles. Furthermore, they mentioned an interaction regarding the operation of a golf cart, which they felt was unwarranted given that only adults were operating it while supervising young children. This feedback suggests that while the location itself may be beautiful, the experience can vary depending on the site location within the park and interactions with other campers.
Considering both perspectives, Holiday Harbor RV Park offers a location with notable natural beauty, including waterfront views of the bay and lake, making it a potentially attractive option for those looking for "camping near me" with opportunities for kayaking and fishing. The welcoming nature of some campers and the accommodating owners are also positive aspects highlighted in the reviews. However, it's important to be aware of potential differences in the atmosphere depending on the area of the park, with one reviewer noting a less welcoming environment in the "newer" section towards the back, particularly in interactions with some permanent residents. The size of the newer sites and the potential for tight maneuvering for larger RVs in the back are also factors to consider.
For those searching for "camping near me" who value waterfront access and activities like kayaking and fishing, Holiday Harbor RV Park could be a good fit. The positive review emphasizes the beauty and peacefulness of the location, along with a sense of community among some campers. However, the negative review serves as a reminder that experiences can vary, and factors such as site location and interactions with other campers can influence the overall stay. Potential visitors with larger RVs should take note of the space constraints mentioned for the back areas of the park.
Based on the available information, Holiday Harbor RV Park offers the following:
- Waterfront location on Blind Sodus Bay
- Opportunities for kayaking and fishing
- Potential for beautiful sunrises over the bay and sunsets over the lake
- Accommodating owners
- A welcoming community reported by some visitors
- "Newer" camping sites in the back of the park
However, it's also important to note:
- Reports of some permanent residents in the back being unfriendly to newcomers
- Smaller size of the "newer" sites in the back, with close proximity between campers
- Potential for tight maneuvering and tree obstructions for large RVs in the back
If you are looking for "camping near me" in the Red Creek, NY area and the prospect of waterfront camping with kayaking and fishing appeals to you, Holiday Harbor RV Park is worth considering. Holiday Harbor RV Park Reviews
This was our first season staying at Holiday Harbor Resort and I can tell you it's a little piece of heaven. The owners have a site there and are nothing but accommodating. The other campers are all so welcoming and the gatherings they have are wonderful ❤😎 You have the sunrise on the bay and the sunset on the lake. Great kayaking and fishing, a very beautiful and peaceful place. So thankful we found it❣
Sep 06, 2024 · Jeannie PoyneerHonestly the permanent site people are very rude that in the back. We camped at the "newer" sites in the back and the permanent residents were very unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome at our own site (that we also pay for) like it was our fault that the owner put in 3 newer sites that are actual really small where you can touch the camper next to you when you come out of your own. Also, if you own a big rig, don't camp in the back or the trees will scratch your camper, it is a tight squeeze. We also got talked to about non-driver license person driving the golf cart when we had all adults and 3 little kids (10 years and younger) that are not allowed to drive our golf cart. It is a very beautiful place but the environment was toxic. We are seasoned campers and travel all over new york to different places and this was one place that was very unwelcoming to newcomers.
Aug 18, 2024 · Casey JursFirst year here as seasonal campers. After leaving a resort for the past 3 years. What a difference. We love it here. Our 3 year old son and 5 year old daughter have a blast here. All the owners are great people and want nothing but a great time to be had by all!! If you're looking for a gem it's here.
Aug 05, 2024 · Ryan DarlingWhat a great little find. The staff was over the top friendly and so helpful. The shower house was spotless and the shower was nice and hot. The views of the lake were beautiful. We reserved a spot for tent camping and it was perfect.
Oct 09, 2023 · Debbie HFantastic place, great management and friendly people, just came off a 4 year permanent stay elsewhere. Thought we'd travel awhile looking for a new summer resting spot, first weekend on the road and I'll be leaving a deposit for next year!!
