The name "Lake Bluff" suggests that the campground may be located near a bluff overlooking a lake, potentially offering scenic views and access to waterfront activities. The proximity to Sodus Bay, mentioned in one of the reviews as a desired destination, further indicates a location within a region known for its lakes and recreational opportunities. Campers might expect an environment characterized by open spaces for campsites, potentially with some tree cover for shade. The spaciousness of the campsites was specifically highlighted by one reviewer, suggesting that guests can enjoy a comfortable and uncrowded camping experience. The potential for lake breezes and the natural ambiance of the Lake Ontario region could contribute to a relaxing outdoor setting. In terms of services, Lake Bluff Campground appears to offer essential amenities for a comfortable stay. The mention of "full hook ups" indicates that the campground provides water, electricity, and sewer connections at its RV sites, catering to the needs of RV travelers. The spaciousness of the campsites, as noted by a long-term guest, adds to the comfort for all types of campers. One positive aspect highlighted in the reviews is the responsiveness of the staff. The anecdote about the prompt delivery of gravel to a muddy parking spot upon request demonstrates a willingness to assist guests and maintain the quality of the campsites, even during inclement weather. This suggests that the on-site staff is attentive and aims to provide a positive experience for campers during their stay. However, another review raises significant concerns regarding customer service related to cancellations and refunds, indicating potential inconsistencies in administrative processes and communication. While the on-site service appears commendable, prospective campers should be aware of the reported difficulties in handling booking-related issues remotely. It would be prudent for local users to clarify the campground's policies on cancellations and refunds at the time of booking to avoid potential misunderstandings. Despite the contrasting experiences, the availability of full hookups and the positive feedback about the on-site staff are noteworthy services offered by Lake Bluff Campground.
The features of Lake Bluff Campground are likely tied to its location near Lake Ontario and the recreational opportunities available in the surrounding area. The potential for lake access suggests features such as fishing, boating, or simply enjoying the waterfront. The proximity to Sodus Bay, a popular destination, indicates that campers at Lake Bluff Campground might find it a convenient base for exploring the bay's attractions. The spacious campsites themselves can be considered a feature, providing more room and privacy for campers. While one reviewer was a long-term guest due to work at the Ginna Nuclear plant (suggesting its suitability for extended stays for those working in the area), the campground also caters to recreational campers. The positive mention of the staff's helpfulness in addressing issues like muddy parking spots indicates a customer-focused approach to problem-solving on-site. However, the negative review points to a potential lack of a streamlined and customer-friendly process for handling off-site administrative matters. Local users interested in specific features, such as lake access, boat launches, or proximity to local attractions around Sodus Bay and Lake Ontario, should inquire directly with the campground to confirm their availability. The contrast in reviews suggests that while the physical features and on-site service might be commendable, the administrative customer service could be an area for potential improvement.

Lake Bluff Campground Reviews
Stayed at Lake Bluff while I was working at Ginna Nuclear plant. Great campground, a little off the beaten pass but I like it like that. Campsites were spacious, full hook ups. Staff was awesome. The last week I was there we got lots of rain, so I contacted Ira and asked for a load of gravel for my parking spot because it was getting muddy. Before I got home it was done. Will be staying again.
Nov 05, 2024 · Chris NewcombNever went , bad customer service. Wanted to take my husband to sodus bay for his birthday, I came down with shingles had to cancel. I was told they could not refund my money to my card and that a check would be sent out $140 ,never received that was beginning of August 2024. What campground has a call center that repeats the same off the paper speech Everytime you call , when the manager finally called me back he told me there was a turnover in accounting and that it would be two weeks. I've called every couple days for the last two months. Guess you need it more than me. Would never recommend just because of the un personable customer service should've been my first clue.
Dec 05, 2024 · Val RemondWe camped there in 2023 and enjoyed it, so decided to come back again. We are staying again for 10 days in 2024. When we started our way into the campgrounds, the first thing my wife said was things looked different. The grounds looked nicely kept up, the spots to park your camper on were marked out and the drive way had fresh gravel. Also the campground has added 2 new mini type homes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I changed my site and my sons so we could be closer together with no problems. Looking forward to seeing the changes, I was told were coming . Would recommend this campgrounds to friends.
Jun 25, 2024 · Mark RossI called ahead to make sure it was ok to put a tent on our site with our pop up camper. I was told that 1 camper and 1 tent were fine per site. When I checked in I mentioned that to the guy at the counter and he told me that was incorrect and they charge a $40 fee. He did NOT charge me because of what I was told in the phone. The campground itself was nice. The kids had a blast in the jump pad and in the pool. They do have a lot of seasonal campers. Our only complaint was that they only cleaned the bathrooms once while we were there. We were there for 4 nights. One of the bathroom stalls was out of toilet paper for a day and a half.
Aug 26, 2024 · Cecilia GlinskiWhat happend to this place?! It used to be one of our favorite places to spend a weekend. No more kids activities, ridiculous store hours, bathrooms weren't cleaned the entire time we were there...which resulted in no toilet paper in 2 stalls and 1 toilet overflowing with toilet paper and clogged. Cabin floors and ceiling fans are filthy. Highly disappointed in what used to be a great campground.
