Cooperstown Beaver Valley Cabins & Campsites Introduce
For local users seeking a delightful "camping near me" experience in the Cooperstown, New York area, Cooperstown Beaver Valley Cabins & Campsites, located at 138 Towers Rd, Milford, NY 13807, emerges as a highly recommended destination based on enthusiastic customer reviews. This family-owned and operated business prides itself on its friendly service, well-maintained facilities, and convenient location, making it an excellent choice for a variety of travelers, including families visiting Dreams Park and those looking to explore the scenic beauty of upstate New York.
One reviewer lauded Cooperstown Beaver Valley as a "very well run family owned business," immediately highlighting the personal touch and care that often comes with such establishments. The staff is consistently described as "friendly and helpful," with mentions of them "checking in throughout stay," indicating a commitment to guest satisfaction and ensuring a comfortable experience. This level of attentiveness can significantly enhance a camping trip, making guests feel valued and supported.
A major draw for many visitors is the campground's exceptional location, particularly its "easy access to Dreams Park (6 min), no traffic issues." For families in the area for baseball tournaments or events at Dreams Park, this proximity is invaluable, offering a stress-free commute. Additionally, the campground provides convenient access to shopping and other attractions in Cooperstown, making it a versatile base for exploring the region.
The amenities at Cooperstown Beaver Valley are also noteworthy. The pool is a significant highlight, with one reviewer specifically mentioning that it was a comfortable 85 degrees Fahrenheit, perfect for a relaxing swim after a day of activities. While some guests, like one reviewer who was primarily focused on Dreams Park and Cooperstown, may not have fully utilized all the on-site amenities, they acknowledged that there was "plenty to do onsite," suggesting a variety of options for recreation and relaxation within the campground itself.
For added convenience, clean and well-functioning laundry services are available, with a reported cost of $3 for a wash and $2 for drying. This is a practical amenity, especially for longer stays or families needing to refresh their laundry. The availability of ice and firewood for purchase on-site further adds to the convenience, eliminating the need for extra trips to local stores for these essential camping supplies.
Accommodation options include "Housekeeping Cabins," which are described as "clean and comfortable." These cabins are equipped with necessary kitchen items, allowing guests the flexibility to prepare their own meals. The inclusion of a propane grill further enhances the cooking options and the overall cabin experience. This blend of comfort and convenience makes the cabins an appealing alternative to traditional tent camping, especially for families or those seeking a bit more shelter and amenities.
While the internet service in the cabins was reported as "spotty at times," the signal was noted to be better outside or near the laundry room/office. This is a common challenge in more rural campground settings, and while not ideal for those needing consistent connectivity within their accommodation, the availability of better service in common areas provides a workable solution for staying connected when necessary.
A significant aspect that contributes to the peaceful atmosphere at Cooperstown Beaver Valley is the enforcement of "quiet hours and site rules." One reviewer explicitly appreciated this, stating, "No worries about loud rowdy guests!" This commitment to maintaining a respectful and tranquil environment ensures that all guests can enjoy a restful stay.
Another reviewer echoed the sentiment of a beautiful and secluded location that is still a short drive from Cooperstown and Dreams Park. They highlighted the variety of accommodations available and praised the beautifully kept grounds. The family ownership and the helpful and friendly staff were also mentioned as key positives. The campground hosts family-friendly activities such as movie nights and features a "beautiful new playground for the kiddos" in a central area, making it particularly appealing for families with young children.
The secluded nature of Cooperstown Beaver Valley allows guests to "come back to a scenic and peaceful location after doing all of the touristy things!" This offers a perfect balance between exploring the local attractions and enjoying a relaxing retreat in a natural setting. The reviewer expressed their appreciation for having "such a beautiful place to be," further emphasizing the positive experience offered by the campground.
Overall, the customer reviews paint a picture of a well-managed, clean, and friendly campground in an excellent location for exploring Cooperstown and visiting Dreams Park. The availability of comfortable cabins, essential amenities like laundry and on-site purchase of ice and firewood, a refreshing pool, and family-oriented activities like movie nights and a playground make Cooperstown Beaver Valley Cabins & Campsites a strong contender for local users seeking a "camping near me" experience in this region of New York State.

Cooperstown Beaver Valley Cabins & Campsites Reviews
Very well run family owed business. Staff were friendly and helpful checking in throughout stay. Excellent location/easy access to Dreams Park (6 min), no traffic issues. Pool was 85 🙂. Didn’t really get to enjoy many of the amenities because we were mostly at Dreams Park, or shopping in Cooperstown, but plenty to do onsite. Laundry services were clean and functioned well ($3 wash, $2 dry).We were in a Housekeeping Cabin, clean and comfortable. Stocked with necessary items in kitchen, cooked with propane grill. Ice and firewood available for purchase. Internet was spotty at times in cabin, outside was better or near laundry room/office. Quite hours and site rules enforced thankfully. No worries about loud rowdy guests! Overall great stay and would 100% recommend and stay again.
Jul 14, 2024 · Andrea DolataBeaver Valley is located in a beautiful, secluded area that is a short drive from Cooperstown and the Dreams Park. They have a variety of accommodations and the grounds are beautifully kept! The campground is family owned and the staff are helpful and friendly! They host movie nights, have a beautiful new playground for the kiddos in a centrally located area. I love that it's tucked away, so you can come back to a scenic and peaceful location after doing all of the touristy things! We are so lucky to have such a beautiful place to be!
Jun 30, 2024 · Andrea AlbanStayed one night in the campground while visiting Cooperstown. Large campground with cabins available in addition to RV hookups. The area where we camped was in the trees (literally) and close to those who stay there full-time. The site was dirt with several inches of leaf mulch. The area was very quiet. The only contact that we had with the staff was during check-in which went quite smoothly. The campground was located very close to Cooperstown which was our reason for being in the area.l
