Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Cooperstown Introduce
For local residents in the Cooperstown and Garrattsville, New York area, seeking a "camping near me" experience with waterfront access, Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Cooperstown, located at 111 E Turtle Lake Rd, Garrattsville, NY 13342, USA, offers a lakeside setting. You can reach them at (607) 352-4581 or +1 607-352-4581 for reservations and inquiries. Based on recent customer reviews, this campground provides enjoyable stays with friendly staff and beautiful waterfront locations, particularly for fishing enthusiasts. However, potential visitors should be aware of certain aspects regarding noise levels and internal road conditions.
The environment at Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Cooperstown is notably characterized by its proximity to water, with one reviewer mentioning their cabin being "right on the water" and another highlighting the "amazing" fishing. This suggests a lakeside or riverfront setting, offering scenic views and opportunities for water-related activities. The campground is described as "beautiful," indicating an appealing natural environment. However, one review notes that if you are seeking "peace and tranquility," this might not be the ideal location due to the activity of seasonal campers. While the setting itself is attractive, the atmosphere can be lively and potentially noisy at times, with unsupervised children and the use of golf cart horns contributing to the soundscape. The internal roads within the campground are a point of concern, as they were once paved but are now poorly maintained with "many potholes and uneven ground." Despite these issues, the overall setting seems to offer a pleasant outdoor experience, especially for those who appreciate waterfront access and are prepared for a more active environment.
Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Cooperstown offers a range of services to accommodate its guests. The staff is consistently described as "friendly" and "welcoming." Accommodation options include cabins, which one reviewer found "nicer than expected," and presumably also campsites for RVs and tents, although these are not detailed in the provided reviews. The availability of waterfront cabins is a significant offering. While not explicitly stated, it is common for campgrounds of this nature to provide essential services such as water and electrical hookups at campsites, restroom and shower facilities, and possibly a dump station for RVs. The mention of seasonal campers suggests that extended stay options are available. One reviewer noted the lack of nearby amenities, advising guests to "bring everything you need as far as groceries etc unless you want to spend a couple of hours going to the store and back," indicating that on-site services like a well-stocked camp store might be limited. The availability of golf carts, mentioned in the context of noise, implies that rentals might be offered for navigating the campground. The presence of a pool is also noted, although concerns were raised about the lack of enforcement of adult supervision rules.
The features of Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Cooperstown include its prime waterfront location, which is particularly beneficial for fishing. The cabins are a key accommodation option, with at least some being located directly on the water. The presence of a pool is another notable feature for recreation. However, the reviews also highlight some areas of concern. The poor condition of the internal roads with potholes is a significant drawback for navigating the campground. The lack of consistent enforcement of rules, such as adult supervision at the pool and the 5 mph speed limit for vehicles (including golf carts), can impact the overall guest experience, leading to issues like noise from blaring horns and unsupervised children. The absence of nearby amenities necessitates that campers come prepared with their own supplies. While the campground offers a beautiful setting, the lack of supervision and the behavior of some seasonal campers might detract from a peaceful stay. The amazing fishing is a definite highlight for anglers. It would be beneficial to inquire about other potential features such as playgrounds, organized activities, or pet-friendly areas (though the noise level might be a consideration for pets and their owners).
Considering the "camping near me" platform and the provision of services or goods for sale, Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Cooperstown offers cabin rentals, including waterfront options, which are a primary service. The potential rental of golf carts is another service that might be available. While not explicitly mentioned, it is likely that campsites for RVs and tents are also offered, representing further accommodation services. The lack of nearby grocery stores suggests that on-site sales of basic necessities might be limited, so campers should plan accordingly. The amazing fishing could potentially be enhanced by the sale of bait or fishing supplies at the campground, although this is not confirmed. The overall offering focuses on providing accommodation and access to the natural environment, with some recreational amenities like the pool. Guests should be prepared to bring their own supplies, indicating that the campground might not be a comprehensive provider of goods for sale.
Promotional information for Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Cooperstown is not detailed in the provided reviews. To learn about current specials, discounts, or seasonal offers, local users should contact the resort directly via phone or visit their website if they have one. Many campgrounds offer incentives for longer stays, off-season visits, or for local residents. Given the mention of seasonal campers, it's possible they offer specific rates or packages for extended stays. Checking their social media channels or local tourism websites might also provide information on any special events or promotions happening at the campground. It would be wise to inquire about any policies or rules that are currently enforced, particularly regarding pool supervision and noise levels, as these were points of concern in the reviews.
The two customer reviews provide a mixed but informative picture of Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Cooperstown. Both reviewers mention the friendly staff and the beautiful waterfront location. The first reviewer, who stayed for a week, noted the clean campground but was concerned about the poorly maintained roads and the lack of adult supervision at the pool, leading to inappropriate behavior. The second reviewer, who stayed in a waterfront cabin, also praised the friendly staff and the amazing fishing but strongly cautioned against expecting peace and tranquility due to the behavior of seasonal campers, including noise and a lack of enforcement of campground rules. The presence of mouse droppings in the cabin was another significant complaint. These reviews collectively suggest that while the location and staff are positives, potential guests should be prepared for potentially noisy conditions, poorly maintained roads, and possibly varying levels of cleanliness in the accommodations. The amazing fishing remains a strong draw for anglers.
In conclusion, Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Cooperstown offers a local "camping near me" option with a beautiful lakeside setting and friendly staff. The waterfront cabins and amazing fishing are significant attractions. However, potential visitors should be aware of the reported issues with poorly maintained internal roads, potential noise and lack of rule enforcement due to seasonal campers, and the need to bring their own supplies due to the limited local amenities. For local users seeking a waterfront getaway with opportunities for fishing and who are prepared for a potentially lively atmosphere, Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Cooperstown is worth considering. To obtain the most current information on services, features, and any promotional offers, as well as to inquire about the current state of the roads and rule enforcement, contacting the resort directly at (607) 352-4581 is recommended.

Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Cooperstown Reviews
We spent a week at adventure bound in Cooperstown. It was an enjoyable week. The campground was clean and the staff were friendly. If I have one notable complaint (and I use the term lightly) was the condition of the roads within the campground. Typically campgrounds will have either paved or dirt roads. This particular campground had once upon a time paved roads that are not maintained leaving many potholes and uneven ground. The pool was nice however the adult supervision rule was not followed which left teenagers using profanity in front of small children. Overall we were very pleased with our stay
Aug 04, 2024 · hanne martinOverall our stay was pretty good. Cabin was nicer than expected, right on the water, only complaint about the cabin is there were mouse droppings in the kitchen. There is not a lot close by so bring everything you need as far as groceries etc unless you want to spend a couple of hours going to the store and back. Fishing was amazing. Staff was friendly. If you want peace and tranquility this is NOT the place for you. Seasonal campers basically running wild. Blaring horns on their golf carts, screaming unsupervised children running amuck. 5 mph speed limit is laughable. There is zero supervision, no park patrol, no one saying "hey, you cant blast your stereo at 5 am as your driving through the park." It is unfortunate that such behavior will keep us from going back, it is a beautiful setting.
Sep 03, 2024 · Gary ReedThis park is gorgeous and has potential, used to be so enjoyable, now it’s over run by season sites that are rude and disrespectful to all, went for a Halloween weekend set up for tick or treating and we where so hidden in our site barley handed out candy, there doesn’t seem to be rules, kids driving around golf carts, screaming at the park at 11pm, they did have a great band and some coolActivities. So unfortunate we loved this park in the past.
Sep 22, 2024 · jasmine clarkThe pool, waterslide, and lake were nice! They have some cool activities. But there are permanent site people that are going to ruin it for everyone. There was lots of drinking, music, screaming well into 3am. I don't suggest staying in the area of tent camping site 224!!!! Thank goodness our three kids are sound sleepers, but my husband dealt with this for two nights- Friday and Saturday.
