One reviewer noted that the "Camp area is clean" and mentioned the presence of a "boat ramp." This is a significant feature for those local users searching for "camping near me" who enjoy boating, fishing, or simply being near the water. The reviewer also mentioned that "the other campers mind their own business," suggesting a degree of privacy and a peaceful atmosphere, and concluded with an intention to "camp here again," indicating a positive overall experience.
Another reviewer described their ideal camping as involving "seclusion and rustic." They explicitly stated, "Why camp if your sites are stacked against each other?" and then praised Cotton Landing for its wilderness feel. They highlighted that if you "don't like dark at night, or don't like silence, then don't come here," but if you "love wilderness, the woods, a river out front, then go here." This paints a picture of Cotton Landing as a campground that offers a more natural and less crowded camping experience, appealing to those who seek tranquility and immersion in nature as part of their "camping near me" getaway. Cotton Landing Reviews
Camp area is clean. Few areas could be cleared for additional camping but has boat ramp and the other campers mind thier own business will camp here again...
Jan 04, 2022 · Charlotte KennedyI love seclusion and rustic when I camp. Why camp if your sites are stacked against each other? Now grant it, if ya don't like dark at night, or don't like silence, then don't come here. But, if you love wilderness, the woods, a river out front, then go here. Please, please pickup after yourselves.
Dec 30, 2022 · Robert WebbIt was so secluded I got scared thinking someone could come out of the woods at any moment and slaughter me. My boyfriend loved it for some reason but this place was in the middle of nowhere with no signal or electric or anything. My nerves were shot thinking about staying there. If you're looking for off the grid camping it's perfect but if you watch too many scary movies about the woods then stay far away cause you'll get freaked out too. Lol
Mar 23, 2022 · EmmaJo LipscombRemote and wonderful. Underutilized site at the edge of the Apalachicola Floodplain.
May 12, 2021 · TorreyaTrekker DavisThis place floods faster than you collect up your stuff and get out...was overrun with racoons and skunks and a skunk got in the tent when someone got up in the middle of the night. I'd stay at the nicer camp that has a shower facility.
