Do NOT use Google for directions, you will get lost. The Bureau of Land Management website gives good directions. On the positive side when we got lost we saw a large cow herd with many babies. The Pepperwood trail starts on the east side of the campground and it is a very nice trail. I don't know it's total length but we walked it for an hour before turning around. Even in May there were still many wildflowers. - Kyria Denton
