Laguna Campground Reviews
One of the coolest spots to camp locally in San Diego county. Not far yet feels like your in dense wooded area with everything you need for a good relaxed weekend.Bathrooms are a plus they have free public piped restrooms, at 35.00 a night it is definitely a deal.
Oct 19, 2024 · JSMOpen year-round. Spacious campsites on a gorgeous meadow with pine and oak trees. Lots of trails around Laguna Lake. Good place to camp if you're hiking the PCT as dispersed camping is not permitted in the Laguna Recreation Area.
Nov 20, 2024 · Michiko LindseyNicely Wooded area. The entire park is dry camping. My biggest complaint is the 8x8 posts planted along every bit of roadway and site to keep anyone from going an inch off the pavement. They represent a serious hazard to your RV if you accidentally veer off even a small bit. They do have a Roadside loop dedicated to full size RVs only. Shady loop and Meadow loop have good spots for average RVs. Hillside loop is hit and miss for level spots - some are drastically not level. I had expected that being in the mountains it would be cooler, but that's not the case...it was hot and we didn't want to run the generator more than necessary so we had no AC. One Campground host was friendly, the other not so much. Sites near the bathrooms and dumpsters had an odor depending on wind direction and whether or not the sunshine was powering the exhaust fans. Sites were large and spacious. Vault toilets were clean enough. There are two bathrooms that have showers, one centrally located. There are lots of long hikes available in the area.We had two sites that shared a grassy area between them so it was great for our grandkids to play and run between us and their parents.NO Verizon service inside the park.
Jul 25, 2024 · Bryan SymonsCan't say enough about the campground manager, Beth, and her hosts. They went above and beyond to help us when our RV could not fit into our reserved site (even though the pad length was long enough, the configuration of the road and posts/pilons that line the road and sites made it impossible to maneuver). Thankfully, we were in the off season and there were some sites available elsewhere in the campground. Throughout our 2 week stay, Beth drove by and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. She cares very much about her campground and is kind to campers. The campground itself is well maintained and clean. If you're in a large RV (30 foot+), make sure you reserve in the RV loop. When you do, be aware that most sites are very sloped and bring lots of wood or blocks to help with leveling.
Jun 09, 2023 · BridgettGreat place for a family vacation getaway. Lots of fun hiking and bike riding for all levels. Each site has a picnic table and a fire pit, plus nearby restrooms. Showers are 4 quarters for 3 minutes.Lots of people had their dogs, but it was large breeds that i saw.If you are bike riding I recommend going with someone who knows the trails but you definitely want to do Gatos and Luge and if you are more advanced then Nobel. There is no phone service for the most part
