Based on customer feedback, Covered Bridge Campsite seems to offer a range of services catering to different camping preferences. The mention of accommodating a "30-year-old renovated pop-up camper" suggests that RV camping is an option, and it's likely that tent camping is also available. One review highlights "new picnic tables" at the campsites, indicating that each site is equipped with this essential amenity. The positive feedback regarding the owners, Kate and Louis, who "jumped right in to help us, like we were their own family members," suggests a high level of personalized service and a welcoming atmosphere. This personal touch, where the owners are actively involved and helpful, appears to be a significant feature of Covered Bridge Campsite, contrasting with experiences at some larger, less personally managed campgrounds.
The features of Covered Bridge Campsite have seen recent improvements. Multiple reviewers specifically mention the "newly renovated" and "very very nice" bathrooms, indicating a significant upgrade to this essential facility. This is a crucial aspect for many campers, and the positive feedback suggests that the campground has addressed previous concerns in this area. However, one reviewer noted that the "dishwashing sink next to most of the campsites" had not been redone, and another mentioned that the "outhouse definitely needs a little bit of work." This suggests that while progress has been made in upgrading facilities, some areas might still be in need of attention. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall sentiment regarding the improvements is positive.
The positive reviews also highlight the cleanliness of the grounds. One camper stated, "The grounds are kept very nice and clean," which is an important factor for an enjoyable camping experience. The fact that the bathrooms are "always cleaned and stocked" further reinforces the campground's commitment to maintaining a pleasant environment for their guests.
While no specific promotional information is provided in the reviews, the recurring theme of positive experiences and the owners' helpfulness could be considered a form of "word-of-mouth" promotion. The fact that a customer who visited 36 years prior returned and still loved the campgrounds speaks volumes about its enduring appeal. The more recent reviews from campers who plan to return also indicate a high level of satisfaction.
For local users in US looking for a "camping near me" experience in New York, Covered Bridge Campsite offers a compelling option, particularly for those who value a welcoming atmosphere and owners who go the extra mile for their guests. The recent bathroom renovations are a significant plus, addressing a common concern for campers. It would be advisable to contact the campground directly at (845) 747-5677 or +1 845-747-5677 to inquire about the specific types of campsites available (tent, RV), the amenities offered at each site, the status of the dishwashing sink and outhouses, and any current rates or booking procedures.

The campground's proximity to these attractions would enhance the overall camping experience. Additionally, inquiring about any specific rules or regulations at the campsite, such as quiet hours or pet policies, would ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay.
In conclusion, Covered Bridge Campsite in Livingston Manor, NY, appears to be a well-regarded campground with a history of positive experiences and a commitment to improvement. The helpful owners, recent bathroom renovations, and clean grounds are significant advantages. Covered Bridge Campsite Reviews
Took my kids there 36 years ago. Went there with my son and grandchildren this past October. Brought back great memories. I love the campgrounds. They really need to upgrade the bathrooms and replace their dish washing sink. That done I would come back and give them 5 stars.I took two of my granddaughters this past October. They definitely Made some improvements at the campsites. They put in new picnic tables, which were very nice. They redid the bathroom, which is also very very nice. The only thing that was not redone was the dishwashing sink next to most of the campsites. The outhouse definitely needs a little bit of work, but overall it was a great experience and the girls loved it. I’m giving it four stars and I’m sure that we will be back in the future to camp. Keep up the good work.
Dec 30, 2024 · harvey pahlThis was our first time camping at covered bridge campsite, as well as our first time using our 30 year old renovated pop up camper. We had a lot of kinks to work out when he got there, but Kate and Louis jumped right in to help us, like we were their own family members! We have camped many times at state campgrounds, and often times never even saw anyone that worked there after check in. At covered bridge, the owners are so helpful with anything you may need. The grounds are kept very nice and clean. Bathrooms are newly renovated, always cleaned and stocked. We will definitely be returning!
May 27, 2024 · Michelle TaseOne of my favorite campgrounds to date! We stayed for 5 nights along the Willomec river during the colorful show of the leaves changing. This campground was the perfect setting to a fall vacation. We stayed in our camper and had water hookups. They have a dump station and a honey sucker. Lots of riverfront tent sites that were BEAUTIFUL and private. Across the bridge (closed to traffic) there are some trails to waterfalls along a creek that flows into the willomec. Breathtaking. The managers always asking if we needed anything. Very friendly. And the new bathhouse was gorgeous. Although we have a shower in our camper. I chose to use the facilities there instead. Would love to come back again!
Oct 07, 2023 · adrianne CWe just spent four lovely nights here in site 2. Quiet and clean and so peaceful we would’ve slept with the windows open to hear the creek but it was too chilly (but perfect for a fire in the new pits!) Picnic table at the site seemed brand new too. Bathrooms and showers were updated and they have a new dump station! Kate was so sweet and helpful and you can tell they’re really working on the place. Will definitely be back!
May 27, 2023 · GreenMt GirlMy family has been staying at Covered Bridge annually for the past 6 years. We have 2 kids, 10 and 12, and this is the perfect place for us. We stay in the secluded campsites because it really feels like you're in the Great North Woods of Maine. You don't hear cars or other people. All you see is the amazing forest, and hear the rush of the stream. It's truly fantastic. The two hiking trails are great for kids (waterfall, and riverside trails). The stream isn't deep or too powerful so it's great for kids. It also holds brown and brook trout that are a blast to catch on a small fly rod. I think kids could do well with worms or a small spinner. The management is super friendly and organized. Big plus this year, the Davidson General Store opened up about a mile down the road, and is a great spot for just about anything you might need, as well as good coffee and prepared food.
