Seeking a convenient "camping near me" option in northwestern Pennsylvania? Crystal Springs Campground, located at 17026 Beaver Center Rd, Linesville, PA 16424, offers a local camping experience for residents and visitors alike. You can reach them at (814) 683-5885 or via mobile at +1 814-683-5885 to inquire about their services and availability.
Based on recent customer feedback available online, experiences at Crystal Springs Campground appear to be somewhat varied. One recent review expresses significant disappointment, citing recurring power outages at their campsite during their stay. This reviewer also mentions an interaction with the "main lady" whom they found to be rude and unhelpful, particularly regarding a request to set up with friends and a subsequent extra charge. However, this same review notes that other male staff members were trying to be helpful. Additionally, they mention a negative attitude directed towards children for walking on the grass to reach their campsite, although a refund was ultimately provided.
In contrast, another review from someone new to camping describes a positive initial impression. This reviewer found Shelly, the manager, to be "very nice, helpful, and professional," and noted that the campground itself seemed pleasant, which initially led them to consider it. However, their experience took a negative turn after selecting a lot with an old trailer, deck, and shed that they were told would be removed. They later received a call from an owner stating that these structures would remain and were for sale. Following a return visit, they attempted to negotiate the price but were informed they would have to choose a different lot if they didn't want to purchase the structures. Despite being shown other available lots initially, the option of a previously offered weekend lot as a seasonal rental was later retracted due to potential for higher weekend/weekly earnings. This ultimately led to the owners informing this prospective camper that they were "not a good fit" for the campground.
Considering the platform category "camping near me," Crystal Springs Campground is geographically positioned to serve the local community of Linesville and surrounding areas. Its presence offers an accessible option for those seeking outdoor recreation without extensive travel. However, the recent reviews suggest potential inconsistencies in service and management practices that local users should be aware of.
Information regarding the specific environment of Crystal Springs Campground is limited in the provided text. However, the fact that campsites are offered suggests the presence of suitable land for setting up tents and parking RVs. The mention of "lots" and the discussion around a specific lot with existing structures imply designated camping spaces. Campgrounds typically offer varying environments, potentially including wooded areas, open fields, or sites near water features, depending on their location and layout. To understand the specific natural surroundings and the type of camping experience offered at Crystal Springs, direct contact with the campground is recommended.
Details about the services and features of Crystal Springs Campground are not comprehensively listed in the reviews. However, we can infer some common campground amenities. The presence of power hookups is indicated by the complaint about frequent power outages. The availability of "lots" suggests designated areas for campers, which may include:
- Water access points
- Restroom and shower facilities
- Waste disposal
- Potentially electrical hookups (as mentioned in the review)
- Likely designated areas for tents and RVs
The discussions in the reviews also allude to the possibility of seasonal lot rentals and the management of specific campsite conditions, including the removal or sale of existing structures. To obtain a complete list of services and features, such as the availability of fire pits, picnic tables, laundry facilities, recreational areas, or Wi-Fi, local users should contact Crystal Springs Campground directly.
Promotional information for Crystal Springs Campground is not included in the provided reviews. It is common for campgrounds to offer various promotions to attract local campers, such as:
- Off-season rates
- Weekend specials
- Family packages
- Discounts for extended stays
- Potential partnerships with local attractions
To inquire about any current promotions or special offers, local users are advised to contact the campground via phone or explore their website or social media channels if available.
In conclusion, Crystal Springs Campground offers a local camping option in Linesville, Pennsylvania. However, recent customer reviews present a mixed picture of the campground experience. While one review highlights a helpful manager initially, it also details significant issues with campsite arrangements and customer service. Another review expresses disappointment with frequent power outages and perceived rudeness from management. Prospective local users searching for "camping near me" should carefully consider these recent experiences and are strongly encouraged to contact Crystal Springs Campground directly at (814) 683-5885 to gather more detailed and up-to-date information about their environment, services, policies, and any current promotions before making a reservation. It would be beneficial to inquire specifically about the reliability of utilities, campsite conditions, and customer service protocols based on the concerns raised in the recent feedback.

Crystal Springs Campground Reviews
Big let down, this time around."This was an amazing campground". Power went out every second in are spot. When out four times and was a massive let down. We had came before and was great but this time was terrible. The main lady was extremely rude and unhelpful. We were trying to set up with our friends and make the situation work but the lady wanted us to pay extra. Which we were not doing. But on the up side the this men were trying to be helpful and tried their best. But honestly a really crappy camping situation this time 😕. And not to mention they had a really bad attitude with the kids, "walking on the grass" to get to the campsite. Although we got a refund.
Jun 21, 2024 · Emma WarnerFirst off let me say we are new to camping so we visited several campgrounds and ended up choosing Crystal Springs. Shelly (manager) was very nice, helpful and professional and the campground was nice otherwise we wouldn’t have considered it.We were shown 4 available lots (by Shelly) of which one had a very old trailer, deck and shed on it that we were told was going to be removed and the lot would be cleaned up it was overgrown We chose this lot and then things went down hill. We received a call from an owner that told us the deck and shed were going to have to stay and the people wanted $$ for it. We made another 1 1/2 hour trip to look at it because we didn’t pay attention to it the first trip. Shed was locked and deck was in so/so shape and damaged from trailer removal so we countered the asking price because We were told we would HAVE to choose another lot if we didn’t want to buy it. Remember we already saw the other lots available. She did offer up a weekend lot that would work. It is now 6 weeks into there season so we asked about prorating the cost of the lot rental owner said yes, then a call after talking to another owner they can’t honor prorated price and the weekend lot that was offered as seasonal isn’t an option now because they make more $$ on weekend/weekly rates vs seasonal. My husband commented they really needed to work on customer relations.About an hour later we got a call from the owner that WE weren’t a good fit for the campground! WOW! We were open to paying for an old structure that couldn’t be removed, another we couldn’t see inside and a cleared lot ( in the condition they would expect us to maintain it) when we parked our trailer.Happy to say we found another campground that is a perfect fit US!!
Jul 07, 2023 · Stacy RalphThis is where we go every weekend to our getaway place. Many great friends and memories are made here. Great family atmosphere. Lots to do.
Jun 12, 2024 · Brenda KacvinskyI have been camping with Crystal Springs for 10 years or so and while the price is steep for a seasonal site, the location is perfect. 40 minutes or so from my home, out in a variably isolated location in the country, 15 minutes from the nearest lake for fishing, boating, etc. 10 to 15 minutes outside of the nearest town where there are plenty of restaurants, bars, and entertainments. For a campground, Crystal Springs is very happily situated for every camper's needs. The campground itself hosts plenty of weekender activities, including fishing tournaments, dances, potlucks, etc. Boasting seasonal, weekend, and tent sites with full hook-ups for electric, sewage, and water.
Jun 17, 2023 · Minxy's AshesUpon arriving early we were told by a pleasant lady we would have to pay a half day fee arriving a half hour before permitting time. I asked if anybody was on the site, she indicated not. So I continued to ask for no extra fee. The owner in the back room came out and was very insulting. Not pleasant at all and said we could Leave if we didn’t want to pay the 1/2 day fee! REALLY, I have Never Meet such an in inviting campground in my 60 years of camping!!! Stay Away!! Campers are Always very accommodating where I come from ~ Especially when nobody was occupying the site👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
