Double R Campground Reviews
Yes, people like to have fun here. It is nothing like others make it seem. Everyone is friends until you give someone a reason not to be. And when they make a mistake or do something wrong they do not own up to it. If you are looking for a place where everyone helps everyone, it is friendly and family oriented, it does not stink, and the bath house is fairly clean...it is a bath house, I mean you can't expect it to be as clean as your bathroom at home. The owners are very good to deal with and willing to help you out.
Feb 06, 2018 · Kyle MillerThis is a nice campground and a fun place to camp. I been comming up for over 10 years. The bathhouse is well kept with warm showers. Lots of great campers. Thanks for all the fun times at Double R. Looking forward till summer.
Nov 26, 2017 · Fred RyanNice camping spot level lots under shaded trees. Don't recommend tent camping if rain is in the forecast, ground doesn't hold water well and gets swampy. Bathroom was clean and hot showers. I will be back it was an overall good time.
Sep 05, 2021 · Eric SchmidtThis is by far one of my absolute favorite places to camp! Great friendly staff, very clean restrooms & the property is well maintained. It is so hard to find decent, secluded camping & this facility takes the cake. I highly recommend Double R, we have not been able to find another place remotely as nice as it. If it was closer than a 3 hour drive, we'd definitely be there more often.
Jun 28, 2012 · Melissa BeI reccomend you shop around before camping here ! It is nothing but a party fest with a bunch of alcoholics if you want your children to learn foul language and to experience drunks at their finest then by all means camp here! The owners are very clicky with a few of the campers that have been there for a while and tend to dig into your buisness instead of sticking to running theirs. They favor these campers and the rules and rates do not apply to them. If you say one thing wrong or complain to them they will evict you on a whim just like that regardless if you have been a good tenant. Do not let the pictures fool you that they post the bath house is falling apart nine times out of ten especially the weekends it is disgusting people have left vomit and feces all over the floor and toilets and all they do is go in with a filthy mop to clean it with out taking the proper hygenic precautions! Dogs do run around the camp ground and some have been left locked up all day barking because the rules are not enforced for everyone. Your neighbour can play his music intil 2.00 am or later. The camp ground turns into a big pond and mud bath when it rains because of inadequate drainage. Black water from campers go straight into holes in the ground people have broken hoses etc to their blue boys and leak all over their lots which sucks if you are their neighbour the stench is disgusting! But like i said if you want to party it up with a bunch of red neck drunken losers then this is the camp site for you! The list is endless of reasons why you should not camp here but if that is what you like then enjoy paying those prices because sometimes being cheaper is not always better i suggest you really really look at this place carefully before you commit it may portray to be picture perfect but trust me it is far from it!
