Echo Valley Campground Introduce
Hello to our local users in US! When you search for "camping near me" on a platform, you're looking for a place that offers a positive outdoor experience with reliable services. Let's explore Echo Valley Campground, located at 52 Camp Rd, Tremont, PA 17981, USA, through the lens of what makes a campground a good choice, while also noting any potential concerns raised by online reviews. This will help you understand what to look for in your local searches here in US.
Imagine a "camping near me" platform in US listing Echo Valley Campground. We have two contrasting reviews that provide different perspectives on this location. One highlights positive aspects such as safety, quietness, helpfulness, and a lovely brook, while the other details significant negative experiences related to the owner's behavior, maintenance issues, and unexpected charges. When considering a campground, it's essential to weigh all available feedback to form an objective understanding. Let's delve into the environment, services, and features of Echo Valley based on these reviews to give you an idea of what to be aware of when exploring campgrounds near you in US.
One reviewer mentions a "lovely brook" on the property, suggesting a pleasant natural environment with the soothing sounds of flowing water. The campground is located in Tremont, Pennsylvania, which typically features a rural landscape, likely offering a degree of natural beauty. The first review also notes that their site was "new and level," which speaks to the quality of the camping areas themselves. However, the second review, from someone who lived there for four months, does not extensively describe the general environment but focuses more on issues with the owner and the conditions of a specific rental unit.
When you search for "camping near me" in US, you would similarly look for descriptions of the natural surroundings. Does the campground offer scenic views, access to water bodies, or a peaceful natural setting? A good platform should provide details about the environment to help you choose a location that suits your preferences. In the case of Echo Valley, the presence of a brook is a positive environmental feature mentioned.
Based on the provided reviews, we can glean some information about the services at Echo Valley Campground, though the experiences seem to vary greatly:
- Friendly Initial Interaction: One reviewer mentioned being "greeted with a smile even on the phone" and receiving "full treatment" upon late arrival, indicating a positive initial service experience.
- Pull-Through Sites: The availability of "easy pull through" sites suggests accommodation for RVs or larger vehicles.
- Maintenance Issues: The second review details a failure to address maintenance needs such as "frozen pipes or electric when it goes out," and a refusal to fix things like "floors have weak spots."
- Laundry Access (with complications): The negative review mentions doing laundry and issues with the owner trying to keep belongings.
- Rental Units: There are mentions of renting a "two bedroom" unit (which was allegedly not as described) and campers. These seem to be longer-term or cabin-like options.
- Potential Extra Charges: The second review notes being "over charges you for things that you barely even used" and an extra $150 monthly charge for children staying over 18.
When you explore "camping near me" options in US, the platform should clearly outline the services provided, such as the types of campsites, availability of hookups, restroom and shower facilities, laundry, and any potential extra charges or specific policies. The stark contrast in the Echo Valley reviews highlights the importance of recent and multiple perspectives on service quality.
The features of Echo Valley Campground, based on the reviews, include:
- Brook on Property: A natural feature that adds to the ambiance.
- Level Pull-Through Sites: Convenient for certain types of campers.
- Potentially Unreliable Management: This is a significant point from the negative review, citing temperamental behavior, refusal to fix issues, and questionable billing practices.
- Rental Units of Varying Quality: The experience with a rental unit was negative, with claims of misrepresentation, uncleanliness (mold, mildew), and small size.
A "camping near me" platform in US would typically highlight positive features such as scenic views, recreational facilities, or unique aspects of a campground. The case of Echo Valley shows that user reviews can also reveal significant drawbacks that potential campers should be aware of. When using such a platform in US, pay attention to both the positive and negative feedback to get a balanced view.
Neither of the provided reviews contains any promotional information for Echo Valley Campground. Typically, campgrounds might promote seasonal rates, special amenities, or discounts for longer stays.
On a "camping near me" platform in US, you would expect to find a section for promotions, if any are offered. Given the strongly negative review for Echo Valley, it's possible they might use promotions to attract visitors, or conversely, they might not need to if they have a regular clientele despite the issues raised.
Echo Valley Campground in Tremont, PA, USA, presents a mixed picture based on the limited online reviews provided. One reviewer describes it as safe, quiet, and helpful, noting a lovely brook and easy pull-through sites with friendly service. This suggests a potentially pleasant environment and helpful staff, at least in some instances.
However, another reviewer who stayed longer-term reports significant negative experiences, including a temperamental owner, refusal to address maintenance issues, overcharging, and problems with rental accommodations that were allegedly misrepresented, unclean, and smaller than claimed. This review also mentions extra charges for children and generally recommends against staying there.
Given these contrasting accounts, an objective introduction must acknowledge both perspectives. Echo Valley Campground has the potential for a peaceful setting with a brook and level sites, and at times, friendly service. However, there are also serious concerns raised about the management, maintenance, and billing practices that potential visitors should be aware of.
For a local user in US using a "camping near me" platform, Echo Valley serves as a reminder of the importance of considering multiple reviews and looking for consistent themes in feedback about a campground. When exploring your local options, pay attention to comments about the management, the condition of facilities, and any unexpected charges to ensure a positive camping experience.
In conclusion, Echo Valley Campground has received both positive and strongly negative feedback online. While the presence of a brook and potentially friendly initial service are mentioned as positives, significant issues regarding management and maintenance have also been reported. Potential visitors should consider these mixed reviews when making a decision. When searching for "camping near me" in US, a thorough review of available feedback will help you choose a campground that meets your expectations for a safe, comfortable, and well-managed stay.

Echo Valley Campground Reviews
Safe, quiet, helpful. Greeted with a smile even on the phone. We were a late arrival and Judy was happy to give us the full treatment. Site was new and level easy pull through. Lovely brook in property.
Mar 14, 2025 · Ida DeFrancescoI lived here for 4 months, and in the beginning the owner was very nice but she got real nasty real quick. She is temperamental one minute she's nice the next she's yelling at you like your a child. I never let my parents disrespect me I won't allow her to either she refuses to fix anything like frozen pipes or electric when it goes out over charges you for things that you barely even used. Tries to keep your stuff when you go to do your laundry and tells you not to return. I had to plead with her to get the rest of my belongings and even when I went to get my belongings she tried to claim some of my stuff and took my food out of the trailer before I got there. It's not safe for kids, she charged us for a two bedroom which it's not it doesn't even have a window and it's so small that it's like a storage space. When I moved in I had to clean it because it was discussing it had mold, and mildewy in there. My son and his father lived next door in a camper and was trying to double charge me and his father for him. If your kids come stay with you under the age of 18 she charges you and extra $150 a month. The floors have weak spots in them and she refuses to fix anything would not recommend to my worse enemy. She's barely in the office and It gets later and later everyday.
Jan 02, 2025 · Muriel HolshouserI don't know why people keep giving them a bad review then be extremely excellent to me and my family we've been there for over a year living there and we have no problems with the plan owners or anything like that but communicate That's all she asked is people just communicate with her but nobody does. Then people up and leave without telling they left and keep her keys to her units which is not right It should return the keys if you're not going to be there anymore and stop just up and leaving her and not paying her.
Dec 19, 2024 · James MillerWe stayed in the winter overnight and the woman at the front desk was so kind and helpful. We pulled in after hours and they left the map on the electric box with helpful tips and info. We didn’t get to enjoy it as much due to the temperature but the creek was very beautiful. Grounds were well taken care of.
Dec 22, 2024 · Amanda IppolitoI booked this place before reading the reviews unfortunately. We decided to keep the reservation because I saw that the bathrooms were good and there were no complaints about traffic noise. Because of this, I felt like I need to write a review. If you are looking to tent camp here DO NOT do it. The traffic was so loud from the road we did not sleep. The bathroom was not clean, and had mold. There was about 30 seconds of hot water in the shower and the water was dribbling out. This is a long term camp ground rental for people that are living there. One person had music blasting 24/7. Judy was not rude, but her memory is completely gone. She couldn’t remember anything we told her. She lost my paperwork almost immediately. It’s really sad. If it’s an emergency and you have an RV this place might be ok.
