Location and Environment:
Situated in the Township of Edmunds, Maine, Elmer’s Cove Campground appears to be in a more remote and natural setting. One reviewer describes it as "rugged, rough and remote," immediately setting expectations for a less developed and more wilderness-oriented environment. The mention of "water access" and a "nice view" suggests that the campground is located by a body of water, likely offering scenic vistas and opportunities for water-related activities. The "cove" in the name further implies a sheltered or recessed area along the water, potentially adding to the tranquility and beauty of the location. For local users seeking "camping near me" away from crowded areas and immersed in nature, Elmer’s Cove Campground seems to fit this description. However, the review also notes a "very tight entrance with lg rigs," which is important information for those with larger recreational vehicles to consider. The remoteness likely contributes to a quieter and more natural experience, appealing to those looking to escape the hustle and bustle.

Another review praises the owner, Al, for being "very kind" and providing "everything to make it the perfect camping experience." This suggests that while the campground might be rugged and remote, the owner is dedicated to ensuring guests have a positive stay. However, the reviews do not detail specific amenities such as restrooms, showers, fire pits, picnic tables, or hookups. The description of "rugged, rough and remote" might imply that the amenities are more basic or limited compared to more developed campgrounds. The fact that there are "less than 10 sites" suggests a smaller, more intimate camping experience. May 28, 2023 · NatalieI liked it , but it probably wouldn't be for be for everyone. I think that picture is misleading. Doubtful you could get a Class A or Class B in to the actual camping area unless there's other sites that I'm unaware of.
Aug 25, 2024 · Scott WeeksThank you, Al, for being so accommodating.
