Based on customer reviews, Smithereen Farm Blueberry Land offers a "super special" camping experience characterized by peace and privacy. One reviewer who camped in early July, as the blueberries were beginning to ripen, stayed in tent #2 and described it as "super peaceful and private." This suggests that the campsites are thoughtfully laid out to maximize the feeling of seclusion and connection with nature. The tents themselves, at least tent #2, are equipped with two large screened windows on either side, ensuring excellent airflow and allowing campers to enjoy the fresh Maine air and the quiet ambiance of the blueberry fields. The emphasis on a "restful sleep" highlights the tranquil nature of this camping destination.
A significant feature of Smithereen Farm Blueberry Land is the on-site Smithereen Farm Store. According to a reviewer, a visit to this store before checking in to the campsite is a "total must." It offers an opportunity to "stock up on local goodies" that can enhance the "glamping" experience. This suggests that the store sells a variety of local products, potentially including fresh blueberries (especially during the picking season), artisanal foods, and other items that can elevate a traditional camping trip into a more comfortable and enjoyable experience. Supporting local producers through the farm store adds another layer of appeal to staying at Smithereen Farm.

The Downeast region is known for its charming small towns, historic lighthouses, and stunning natural landscapes, providing a rich and diverse backdrop for a camping getaway.

Super special place! Stay if you can! My sister and I camped in early July, just as the blueberries were starting to ripen. We stayed in tent #2. It was super peaceful and private. Smithereen Farm Store is a total must before checking in to the campsite to stock up on local goodies to complete the "glamping" experience. This part of Downeast Maine is so beautiful and there is lots nearby to explore. Do it!
