Sherwood Forest Manufactured Home Introduce
For individuals exploring "RV parks near me" in the Kissimmee, Florida area, Sherwood Forest Manufactured Home, located at 5302 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy # H, Kissimmee, FL 34746, USA, presents itself as a location that warrants careful consideration based on recent customer feedback. While the name includes "Manufactured Home," the reviews suggest that the property also accommodates RVs and may offer annual campsites. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the environment, services, and features of Sherwood Forest based on the experiences shared by recent visitors.
Several reviewers express significant dissatisfaction with various aspects of Sherwood Forest. One reviewer begins by stating they have "stayed at better camp sites, in a tent!!" This strong initial statement sets a negative tone for their experience. They specifically mention "grass is way overgrown" and the presence of "abandoned motor homes looking trashy," indicating issues with the park's general upkeep and aesthetics. While acknowledging proximity to "popular activities," this reviewer clearly found the immediate environment unappealing.
Another reviewer corroborates the cleanliness issues, stating that the "shower houses were disgusting," and they intended to share photographic evidence of this. The fact that a "key card" is required to access the shower houses suggests a security measure, but it does not seem to guarantee cleanliness according to this guest. This raises concerns about the hygiene and maintenance of essential facilities within the park.
Inconsistencies and operational issues with amenities are also highlighted. One reviewer details a confusing situation regarding the pool hours, with conflicting information posted in different locations (front desk, pool rules board, and a taped-up makeshift sign). This lack of clear communication and the experience of being "kicked out of the pool at 9pm" despite advertised hours led to a feeling of "faulty advertising."
The accessibility and operating hours of recreational equipment also drew criticism. Guests wishing to use the billiards and ping pong inside were required to go to the front desk to obtain the equipment, leaving their driver's license as collateral. The inconvenience of this process was compounded by the front office closing at 5 pm, potentially limiting access to these amenities outside of office hours. The reviewer suggests that the scheduling of equipment access needs improvement.
Safety and security are also significant concerns raised by one reviewer, who described the area as "very transient" and stated they did "not feel safe walking around alone in this community." This perception of unsafety within the park is a serious issue for potential guests to consider.
Despite the negative aspects, one reviewer noted that they "were not disturbed by anybody" in terms of other guests. However, they did mention significant noise pollution from "tour helicopters" flying over frequently and "hourly police sirens going by," which disrupted their attempts to enjoy the outdoors and also affected their sleep. This indicates that while internal disturbances from other guests might not be a major issue, external noise could significantly impact the peace and quiet of the park.
Another significant drawback mentioned is the fact that "you have to pay for wifi here." This is increasingly uncommon in many RV parks and can be an added expense and inconvenience for travelers. This reviewer also stated that not paying for the Wi-Fi "screwed up our phones for a couple days," although the specifics of this issue are unclear. They also reported "very bad reception," suggesting that even paid Wi-Fi might not be reliable, and cellular service could also be poor.
Based on their cumulative negative experiences, one reviewer explicitly stated, "I would not suggest this site to anyone. And if you DARE to camp here, be safe." This strong condemnation serves as a significant warning to prospective guests.
Adding another layer to the description of Sherwood Forest, one reviewer speculated that "this is a sales office for park models and annual sites," noting that the office was closed during their four-day visit, preventing confirmation. However, they did recommend that those in the market for an annual campsite "spend a few days here first" to assess the conditions. This suggests that while short-term stays might be problematic, the park might be primarily focused on selling park models and annual leases.
The same reviewer advised potential guests to "Check the bath houses, grass length, and if your cell phone works as it should" before committing to a stay. They also observed that "the trailers for sale looked condemned, boarded up windows, caution tape and a for sale sign," further contributing to a negative impression of the park's overall condition and upkeep.
In conclusion, the online reviews for Sherwood Forest Manufactured Home in Kissimmee, Florida, paint a concerning picture for potential RVers or short-term campers. Multiple reviewers highlight issues with overgrown grass, abandoned and dilapidated structures, disgusting shower houses, confusing and inconvenient amenity operations (pool hours, equipment access), a perceived lack of safety, significant noise pollution, and the need to pay for potentially unreliable Wi-Fi. While the park may focus on selling park models and annual sites, the experiences of short-term visitors suggest significant shortcomings in the environment and services offered to transient guests. Prospective visitors are strongly advised to heed the warnings in the reviews and, if considering a stay (especially for RV camping), to thoroughly inspect the facilities and surrounding area beforehand, paying close attention to the cleanliness of restrooms, the upkeep of the grounds, and the reliability of essential services like Wi-Fi and cellular reception. The suggestion to "be safe" underscores the potential safety concerns raised by at least one reviewer.

Sherwood Forest Manufactured Home Reviews
I would like to start off by saying I’ve stayed at better camp sites, in a tent!!Grass is way overgrown here, abandoned motor homes looking trashy. Not the ideal view. However you are close to popular activities. You get a nice little guide map of the area.Shower houses were disgusting.. I’ll let my pictures show you. You also need key card to get into them.Had a big issue with the pool. In the Langley at front desk it says pools hours are 7am-10pm.Pool rules board says Dawn to Dusk. And they have a makeshift sign up that says 9am-8:30pm. It’s literally duck taped on. Very confusing. And then we get kicked out of the pool at 9pm??!Faulty advertising. We tried using the Billards and ping pong inside. But you have to walk to front desk to get the equipment. Leaving your license. When you bring stuff back you pick your license up. But the front office closes at 5. Schedules need help here. This is a very transient area and I do not feel safe walking around alone in this community. However we were not disturbed by anybody, loud noises however,.. every few minutes tour helicopters are flying over. And hourly police sirens going by. Disturb your day trying to enjoy the outside and wake you from your sleep. You have to pay for wifi here. We didn’t and it screwed up our phones for a couple days. Very bad receptionI would not suggest this site to anyone. And if you DARE to camp here, be safe.

Jul 08, 2024 · Jason OlsonThe manager is Recesses and does not work in good faith. Does not keep up drive ways and tree cutting. Located in a Flood zone. Security is a big joke.
Apr 03, 2024 · Eddie AceMe and my fiance love this camp site and Encore in general. The Kissemee location has Michelle (front desk) she is always very kind when we visit here and for the all my interactions with staff has been pleasent. We travel all over the country and visit all Encore sites. But this location has one particular employee we have bad interactions with every time we visit the Kissimmee location, and her name is Carmen I (front desk) short middle aged latina women with glasses. She is always a very unpleasant, rude and unprofessional to me and my fiance, anytime we interact with her or need assistance. To a point if she is working we will not go up to the front desk. She is a very short tempered individual who shouldn't be working customer service. Very sad since this is a very nice campsite but has employeed a particular individual who can make your stay feel very unwelcomed. If you don't want your Familys Florida vacation disrupted while staying at this beautiful site, stay away from Carmen.
Feb 03, 2025 · Los RodriguezThis RV park is a little old but nice. Is under new manager and you can see upgrades are starting to take place. It is close to old town, Disney, and universal
