Encore Ramblers Rest Introduce
For those in search of "camping near me," particularly if you are an RV enthusiast in or around the Venice, Florida area, Encore Ramblers Rest presents itself as a noteworthy option. Located at 1300 N River Rd, Venice, FL 34293, USA, this RV resort offers a convenient local getaway with a range of services and features catering primarily to recreational vehicles.
The location of Encore Ramblers Rest in Venice, Florida, places it within a region known for its beautiful Gulf Coast beaches and various attractions. This proximity to the coast suggests that campers can potentially enjoy easy access to sandy shores, fishing opportunities, and other water-related activities. The area around Venice is also known for its charming downtown, cultural attractions, and natural parks, offering a diverse range of experiences for visitors. For local users, this location provides the benefit of a relatively short travel distance to enjoy a change of scenery and outdoor living.
Based on recent customer reviews, the environment of Encore Ramblers Rest is generally perceived positively. One reviewer who stayed in an RV site from January 18-31, 2025, described the resort as "clean and well maintained." This suggests that the grounds are kept in good order, which is an important factor for a comfortable camping experience. The same reviewer also highlighted the friendly nature of both the staff and the guests, fostering a welcoming community atmosphere within the resort.
In terms of services and features, Encore Ramblers Rest appears to offer a variety of amenities aimed at enhancing the guest experience. The mention of "several activities throughout each day" indicates a structured program of events that could include social gatherings, games, or other forms of entertainment. The availability of "food trucks and produce trucks frequently" adds a convenient dining option and the opportunity to purchase fresh goods without leaving the resort. For pet owners, the presence of a "large dog park" is a significant advantage, providing a dedicated space for their animals to exercise and socialize.
However, the positive aspects were somewhat overshadowed by a concern regarding pet etiquette. The reviewer noted that despite the presence of "multiple available dog stations that provide bags and trash cans," some guests failed to pick up after their dogs. This is an important point for prospective visitors to be aware of, as it can impact the overall cleanliness and enjoyment of the shared spaces.
Another review raised significant concerns regarding the resort's policies on renting out privately owned RVs. A user who was considering purchasing a Class C camper at Ramblers Rest reported being informed that they could not rent it out to others for stays shorter than 30 days, and even then, renters would need to pass a background check. This was purportedly due to the vehicle being a Class C. However, the reviewer then discovered that the resort's website was advertising Class C campers for rent on a nightly basis at a significantly high price. This discrepancy led to accusations of "corporate greed" and a feeling of being misled by the management.
This particular review highlights a potential point of contention for individuals considering long-term stays or property ownership within the resort, especially concerning rental opportunities. It suggests a possible inconsistency in the application of rules between tenants and the resort management regarding short-term rentals.
The positive review also mentioned the "excellent location near the beach and other area activities." This reinforces the earlier point about the convenience of Encore Ramblers Rest's location in Venice, providing easy access to both natural attractions and local amenities. For those seeking a base to explore the Venice area while enjoying RV living, this could be a significant benefit.
While specific promotional information was not provided in the reviews, it is common for RV resorts to offer various deals, especially for longer stays, seasonal periods, or through membership programs like Encore's own offerings. Local users interested in Encore Ramblers Rest might want to inquire directly about any current promotions or discounts available to residents of the surrounding area. Checking the official Encore website or contacting the resort via the provided phone numbers, (941) 493-4354 or +1 941-493-4354, would be the best way to obtain up-to-date information on pricing and special offers.
In summary, Encore Ramblers Rest in Venice, FL, offers a locally accessible RV camping experience with well-maintained grounds, a friendly atmosphere, and a program of activities. Its proximity to the beach and other attractions in the Venice area is a significant advantage for those looking to explore the local surroundings. However, potential visitors should be aware of the reported issue with dog waste and the serious concerns raised regarding the resort's rental policies for privately owned RVs. It is recommended that local users considering a stay at Encore Ramblers Rest contact the resort directly for the most accurate and current information regarding amenities, policies, and any available promotions to ensure it meets their specific needs and expectations for "camping near me."

Encore Ramblers Rest Reviews
We stayed on a RV site. Jan 18-31 2025. The resort is clean and well maintained. The staff and guests are super friendly. They offer several activities throughout each day. Food trucks and produce trucks are available frequently. The dog park is large. The only issue we had was despite the multiple available dog stations that provide bags and trash cans we still found dog excrements that guests did not pick up. Excellent location near the beach and other area activities
Feb 01, 2025 · Lucy & Ed VinckI was SERIOUSLY considering purchasing a class C camper in Ramblers Rest. I was told that I could not rent it out to other people to recover some of the $1100 a month unless they stayed at least 30 days and passed a background check! This is because it's a class C they CAN do that. I asked the manager if this was rules for the tenants but not the landlord and she assured me that was not so. She lied. You can go on their website and book a class c camper for SINGLE DAYS this fall. FOR $419 A NIGHT!!!CORPORATE GREED AT ITS FINEST!!!
May 02, 2025 · Kevin DevoyWater problems from day one electrical problems from day one never offered, bottled water. No warning about electrical problems fried microwave vacuum didn't even give us a call back and apologize because of the electrical problems. Overpriced for sure
Apr 20, 2025 · GregVery nice park but beware, if you are a Encore member you will be treated like a lower class. They only have a limited few Encore spots and they are right in the middle of permanent residence. Not a camping atmosphere at all like these pics show. They only had 2 nights for Encore but plenty for regular visitors spots but could not accommodate us for one extra night due to Encore junk lots being full. I tried paying for a regular spot to get the extra night but again…. Since I am Encore member they would not allow me to book one regular night or accommodate me. So all that to say. Nice place, but Encore members will get a different treatment. View from my camper window . Feels like I am in a local trailer park. Lol!
Feb 15, 2025 · Bernadine CruzBeautiful campground, we went for a weekend trip and ended up staying for 18 days. First, the location, you are literally 10 minutes away from beaches and water front restaurant, the park is well maintained with a beautiful resort style pool and tons of activities, the sites are level but it was muddy around but is florida weather, all sites have full hookupsYear after year this place is amazing
