Fairplex RV Park Introduce
For those navigating the vibrant urban landscape of Southern California and seeking a convenient and amenity-rich "Camping Near Me" solution, Fairplex RV Park in Pomona, California, stands out as a noteworthy option. Located at 2200 N White Ave, Pomona, CA 91768, USA, with direct access via telephone at (909) 593-8915 or +1 909-593-8915, this RV park offers a distinct camping experience that blends accessibility with a range of modern comforts, catering primarily to recreational vehicles but also providing cabin rentals.
The environment at Fairplex RV Park is unique due to its prime location directly across the street from the renowned LA County Fairgrounds. This proximity makes it an ideal base for visitors attending the numerous events hosted at the Fairplex, from the famous LA County Fair to various expos, concerts, and shows. Despite being in a developed area, the park itself endeavors to create a pleasant atmosphere. Customer reviews often mention "lots of pine trees and shade," contributing to a more natural and comfortable setting within an urban context. However, as an urban RV park, it is important to manage expectations regarding pristine wilderness; the surroundings are characterized by typical city sounds and infrastructure. While generally well-maintained, one review does touch upon the presence of "squirrels, rodents and birds that free range," which is a common characteristic of any outdoor setting, urban or otherwise. The park's layout, particularly for larger RVs, can be described as having "very tight spacing," and some areas might appear "super crowded," as noted by a recent guest, which is typical for urban RV parks maximizing space.
Fairplex RV Park offers a comprehensive range of services and features designed to make stays comfortable and convenient for its guests. The park boasts 183 full RV hookups, providing both 50 and 30 amp service, ensuring that most recreational vehicles can be accommodated with ease. For those without an RV or who prefer a more traditional lodging experience, the park also offers one and two-room, fully-furnished cabins that can comfortably sleep 4-6 guests. These cabins are often equipped with full kitchens and essential amenities. To further enhance guest convenience, the park provides a fully stocked mini-market, perfect for grabbing late-night snacks or forgotten essentials. Laundry facilities and clean showers are available on-site, addressing practical needs for longer stays. For recreation and relaxation, guests can enjoy a heated swimming pool and a spa, offering a welcome respite after a day of exploration or activities. Complimentary Wi-Fi is also provided, allowing guests to stay connected.
Beyond the core amenities, Fairplex RV Park's features extend to its operational policies and proximity to attractions. The park is pet-friendly, a significant draw for many travelers, though it's important to note a recent change in their pet policy. As highlighted by a customer review, as of April 2024, the park implemented a new policy requiring dog vaccination records. This change, while potentially inconvenient for some pet owners, aligns with common practices in many public and hospitality venues to ensure public health and safety. Furthermore, the park offers extended stay options, which can be particularly attractive for those working or visiting the area for longer periods. For extended stays, an application process is required, including a meeting with park management for review of the application and park rules, and rent is initially accepted weekly until approval for monthly stays. This policy suggests a commitment to managing long-term residents and maintaining a certain standard within the park. However, one reviewer did express concern about "sketchy old RVs parked on site that looked straight out of a serial killer movie" among the extended stay residents, indicating that while long-term stays are offered, the visual upkeep of some units might vary.
Promotional information for Fairplex RV Park primarily emphasizes its strategic location and diverse amenities. Its direct adjacency to the LA County Fairgrounds is a major selling point, providing unparalleled access to the various events held there. For those seeking broader Southern California adventures, the park is touted as an ideal "base camp." Within just 30 minutes, guests can reach a plethora of popular attractions, including Disneyland Resort, Knott's Berry Farm, Raging Waters, and Universal Studios. For nature lovers, the scenic Mt. Baldy and other regional parks like Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park, Chino Hills State Park, and Prado Regional Park are also within a reasonable driving distance, offering opportunities for hiking, biking, and outdoor enjoyment. The convenience of having sightseeing tours accessible directly from the campground office, as mentioned in some historical descriptions, further underscores its role as a hub for exploring the wider Los Angeles area. Despite some recent operational changes and feedback regarding crowdedness or specific policies, the park's consistent offering of full hookups, recreational facilities like the pool and spa, and its strategic location continue to make it a relevant option for "Camping Near Me" searches in the Pomona area, particularly for those attending events at the Fairplex or exploring the diverse attractions of Southern California.

Fairplex RV Park Reviews
Great travel trailer/RV campground with lots of pine trees and shade as well as many amenities! Right across the street from the LA County Fairgrounds 👍😁
Apr 13, 2025 · robert newtonWe stayed at this campground in 2023 and took our dogs with no problems or questions asked about their vaccination records. In June 2024, we booked a vacation to stay here again and was asked for my dogs vaccination records. We don't vaccinate them because we treat them holistically through certified practioners so when I mentioned that to them, they made me cancel our reservation. She said they had implemented this new policy in April. This park had squirrels, rodents and birds that free range which aren't vaccinated so I don't understand their ridiculous rule for our dogs. Aside from being a close place to stay if you're going to the fairgrounds, this location is super crowded and they have very very strict rules about bringing along your towing vehicles. Since they offer extended stay, there were some sketchy old RVs parked on site that looked straight out of a serial killer movie. I'm more concerned about who lives in there than any dog being vaccinated or not walking around the facility. I don't recommend this place based on their lack of medical freedom for our dogs.
Jul 13, 2024 · Alicia Blancas (Lovemysavior)The fairflex RV Park is a great place to stay. Have excellent customer service and it's so conveniently located to so many places. The people are great and it's a very safe park. If the spaces within the park were just a bit larger it'd be pretty darn near perfect. Overall it's worth it considering the competition.

Jan 27, 2024 · Steven BrinkerhoffThis is a really nice RV campground, so many restaurants, parks and bars nearby, area is super pretty. Campground is a little noisy because there’s an airport/pilot school nearby, so they practice all morning and afternoon be ready to hear them, also is a highly helicopter patrolled area, as the fairplex is across the street, there’s always events going on; although never had any issues getting in or out the campground.
