Fortune Bay Casino RV Park Introduce
For local residents and those searching for "camping near me" with a blend of outdoor relaxation and entertainment, Fortune Bay Casino RV Park, located on the Vermillion Lake Indian Reservation in Tower, MN (address: Vermillion Lake Indian Reservation, Tower, MN 55790, USA), offers a distinctive camping experience. This RV park provides easy access to the amenities and excitement of the Fortune Bay Casino, along with privileges at the nearby marina, creating a unique destination for RV travelers seeking more than just a traditional campground.
The environment surrounding Fortune Bay Casino RV Park is likely characterized by the scenic beauty of the Vermillion Lake area in northern Minnesota. This region is known for its pristine lakes, lush forests, and opportunities for outdoor recreation. While the immediate surroundings of the RV park might include the casino complex and marina, guests can likely expect access to the natural beauty of Lake Vermillion and its surroundings. The "beautiful walking grounds" mentioned by a reviewer suggest that the area is well-maintained and offers pleasant opportunities for strolls and enjoying the outdoors.
Fortune Bay Casino RV Park offers a range of services and features aimed at providing a comfortable and convenient stay for RV travelers. A significant amenity is the presence of a "dump station," which is essential for RV maintenance and waste disposal. The friendly atmosphere is also highlighted, with a reviewer noting that "people are friendly," contributing to a welcoming environment for guests. One unique aspect of staying at the RV park is the extended privileges it offers: "being a rv guest also means you are a guest in the casino and down at the marina." This integration with the casino and marina is a key feature that sets this RV park apart from traditional campgrounds.
The marina access provides a wealth of recreational opportunities for RV park guests. According to a review, guests can "clean your fish," suggesting that fishing is a popular activity in the area, likely on Lake Vermillion. Additionally, the free use of kayaks and paddle boats ("take a kayak out or paddle boat for free") offers a fantastic way to explore the lake and enjoy the water. This complimentary access to watercraft adds significant value to the camping experience.
The proximity to the Fortune Bay Casino offers a wide array of entertainment options, especially beneficial during inclement weather. The review mentions that "if it rains entertainment in the casino is always available," ensuring that guests will have things to do regardless of the weather. The casino also features "great food," providing convenient dining options for RV park guests who may not want to cook every meal at their campsite. Furthermore, guests have "use of the pool as well," offering another recreational amenity for relaxation and enjoyment.
Beyond the casino and marina, the RV park itself offers practical amenities. The "showers are nice," indicating well-maintained facilities for guest hygiene. The mention of "plenty of grounds to ride bikes around the casino grounds" suggests that the area is spacious and safe for cycling, providing another way for guests to explore the surroundings. For those interested in golf, the availability of a golf course ("plus golf available") adds another recreational option within the secure complex.
Security appears to be a priority, with one reviewer noting that the entire area is a "secure complex," providing peace of mind for guests. Check-in and check-out are made convenient, even outside of office hours, with the casino staff able to assist: "If you need to check in or out when the office is closed you just go up to the casino they will help you." This flexibility caters to guests arriving at different times.
One notable absence mentioned by a reviewer is the lack of fire rings at the individual campsites: "One odd thing is the camp ground does not have firerings. You have to bring you're own or hopefully there is an extra one from the office." This is an important piece of information for local campers who typically expect a fire ring for campfires. Potential guests should be aware of this and plan accordingly, either bringing their own portable fire pit or inquiring about the availability of loaner fire rings from the office.
While there is no explicit promotional information provided, the combination of RV amenities, access to casino entertainment, marina privileges, and recreational activities like swimming, biking, and golf inherently promotes Fortune Bay Casino RV Park as a unique and attractive destination for local RV enthusiasts. The positive reviews, highlighting the friendly people, nice showers, and the abundance of things to do within a secure environment, serve as strong testimonials.
For local users searching for "camping near me" who are looking for an RV park that offers more than just basic camping facilities, Fortune Bay Casino RV Park provides a compelling option. The integration with the casino and marina offers a diverse range of entertainment and recreational activities, making it suitable for those who enjoy gaming, water sports, dining out, or simply exploring well-maintained grounds. The convenience of having these amenities within a secure complex adds to the appeal.
Local RV clubs or individuals seeking a weekend getaway with a variety of options will find Fortune Bay Casino RV Park worth considering. The ability to enjoy the outdoors, have access to casino entertainment, and utilize the marina facilities provides a well-rounded experience. However, it is essential to be aware of the lack of fire rings at campsites and to make necessary arrangements if having a campfire is desired.

Feb 26, 2022 · Heather MroszakThere are seasonal sites all around the campsite edge. They are nice sites in the woods. The middle with only young trees has pull thru sites with water and electric only for non-seasonal use. The office is only open Thursday - Sunday. There is no staff at the RV park Monday - Wednesday. With your site you get a dock space in the marina and use of free canoe or kayak. The walk from the RV park to marina is about 0.72 miles with a hill. The walk to the casino/hotel is about 0.3 miles. There is a indoor pool you can use. Peg in the office is wonderful and should get 5 ⭐ for helpfulness. There is a dump station. It is $5 to dump if you aren't staying in the RV park. There are no fire rings.
Jul 30, 2021 · DanelleMachines are Horrible. Jacuzzi suite is nice but no hot water at times. Deli closed two nights a week. Restaurant reservations hard to get. Finally went to the Wilderness restaurant in the Golf club. Spent two nights there.... Food dessert. Drove 25 miles for breakfast...... Severely damaged business due to Covid.
Aug 11, 2021 · Sharon TaylorDon't waste your time here!Slots are TIGHT!RV Park......they don't put any profits back into the park or make any Repairs...Dump site cover still broken loose from 3 years ago.Men's door to shower room still broken ...doesn't work....they tell you try a couple of time's and wiggle it..... No try fixing it for your customers!I would look around for another park to stay at.
