Franks Point Of View LLC is not just a campground; it's described as the kind of place you'd rate far beyond a perfect 5 stars, a testament to its unique charm and the exceptional hospitality offered.
One enthusiastic camper described this RV park as "one of the rarest of rare hidden gems," the type you almost want to keep secret so it doesn't become too popular. This speaks volumes about the special atmosphere and quality of this location. Run by Gary, referred to as the "ultimate gentleman," and his "charming wife, Tricia," the park boasts a small and intimate setting with only eight spots. Far from being boring, this small size contributes to the personalized and attentive service that guests rave about.
The amenities at Franks Point Of View LLC seem thoughtfully curated. There's an office that isn't just for check-in; it features a pool table, a gaming table with a variety of options, and a borrowing library, offering indoor entertainment for those times you want to relax out of the sun. Adding to the relaxation vibe are hammocks available for guests to use. Furthermore, outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the multiple hiking trails accessible from the property, as well as corn hole boards and horseshoes for some friendly competition.
The level of service provided by Gary and Tricia is consistently highlighted. They are described as being readily available and willing to help with anything needed, their presence felt in the thoughtful details throughout the park, yet never intrusive. This personal touch seems to be a significant factor in why guests feel so welcomed and cared for.
For those local users who travel with their furry companions in their search for "camping near me," Franks Point Of View LLC is decidedly pet-friendly. Well-behaved dogs are not just allowed; they are welcomed, and might even get a greeting from the owners' dog, Nellie. For truly good canine guests, there's the rare treat of being able to run off-leash, making this a top-requested campground for many dog owners.
Each of the eight RV spots at Franks Point Of View LLC is well-equipped for comfort and enjoyment. Each site includes a fire pit for cozy evenings, a picnic table for outdoor dining, and a fantastic covered pavilion, providing shade and shelter. Perhaps most enticingly, each spot has hooks ready for a pair of hammocks, perfectly positioned for enjoying the spectacular sunsets that the location is known for.
Adding to the local charm and convenience, reviewers highly recommend a visit to Blair Family Farm & Market, located just down the road. This local farmer offers "the BEST beef ever," according to one reviewer from a ranching family, setting a high bar for quality. In addition to their premium meats, the market also stocks a selection of local goods such as jams, jellies, and syrups, making it a great place to stock up on delicious local produce.
The practicalities of RV camping are well-catered for at Franks Point Of View LLC. They offer 30 & 50 amp electrical service, full hook-ups (water, sewer, and electricity), ample parking space, and level, well-laid gravel pads for easy setup. The sites also offer shaded areas for comfort. For entertainment, guests have reported receiving around 60 TV channels with excellent reception. Additionally, for those who rely on satellite internet, like Starlink users, the reception and speed have been noted as top-notch, with no interruptions.
The bottom line, according to one very satisfied camper, is that Franks Point Of View LLC is tied as their number one favorite campground in the entire United States. Guests return not just for a getaway and the beautiful location, but also for the growing friendship with Gary and Tricia, and the feeling of coming home every time they arrive.
Another reviewer echoed these sentiments, describing Franks Point Of View as "such a special place." Its location on the top of a mountain provides stunning views overlooking the Talladega National Forest, with spectacular sunsets every night. The owners, Gary and Tricia, are again lauded as the "most welcoming and hospitable owner-hosts imaginable." The eight spacious sites on their farm property are praised for being roomy, well-appointed with full hookups, and impeccably clean upon arrival. The individual large covered pavilion at each site is a standout feature.
The atmosphere is described as quiet, rural, peaceful, and offering dark skies perfect for stargazing, encouraging a "best Zen attitude." Beyond the campsites, guests can enjoy miles of hiking trails throughout the property. The camp store offers a "fabulous assortment" of Tricia's homemade preserves, honey, and even wine. The nearby Blair Family Farm & Market for grilling beef further enhances the experience.

Franks Point Of View LLC Reviews
This RV park is one of the rarest of rare hidden gems—the type you want to rate 20/5 stars. But you also DON’T want to…because you’re suddenly a greedy, needy camper who loves the place SO MUCH that you (almost) don’t want to share. Not. Joking.Run by the ultimate gentleman, Gary, and his charming wife, Tricia, the park boasts a total of…wait for it…8 spots. Yes, 8. You’re likely to immediately think, “Boring.” You’d be wrong. Sorry. There’s an office with a pool table, gaming table with everything you could want and a borrowing library as well as HAMMOCKS! More on that in a moment. There are also multiple hiking trails, corn hole boards and horse shoes for outdoor fun, and more. And should you need ANYTHING? Gary and/or Tricia are there and willing to help, their presence unobtrusive but felt in every small detail.Have (well-behaved, not-tippy-barky-please) dogs? BRING ‘EM! Their dog, Nellie, is likely to say hello. And if they’re truly good camp guests, you can let your furry family run off leash. This is our dog’s most requested campground ever! And the 8 sites? Well, remember the hammock thing? Each spot has a fire pit, picnic table, covered pavilion (!!!) and…hooks for a pair of hammocks. You’ll want to utilize this at sunset. I promise. Heck, I’ll even pinky swear!NOTE: Do NOT miss Blair Family Farm & Market, either! Just down the road is a local farmer who raises the BEST beef ever (and we’re from a ranching family!). Set-the-bar quality meats and a handful of local goods (jams, jellies, syrups) are always available. We bring an extra cooler to stock our home freezer. At their prices, it’s just smart. (And it means we eat well between visits!) And did I mention the quality? It bears repeating.Basics: 30 & 50 amp service, full hook-ups, ample parking, level and well-laid gravel pads, shaded areas and we received about 60 tv channels with excellent reception. We utilize Starlink and had the best reception with top speed service; no interruptions.Bottom line? This is tied as our #1 favorite campground in the United States. We come here to get away, for the friendship growing with Gary and Tricia, and because, well, every time we pull up, it feels like we’ve come home.
Apr 20, 2025 · Denise TompkinsFrank's Point of View is such a special place. The location sits on the top of a mountain overlooking the Talladega National Forest and every night was a spectacular sunset during our four-night visit. Gary and Tricia are the most welcoming and hospitable owner-hosts imaginable. There are just eight spacious sites on their farm property and they have done a commendable job in constructing roomy well-appointed FHU sites that are spotless when you arrive! Each site has an individual large covered pavilion! This is a quiet, rural, peaceful, dark-sky kind of place, so come with your best Zen attitude. Miles of hiking trails through the property, a fabulous assortment of Tricia's preserves, honey and wine in the camp store, and a farm store for beef on the grill right down the road round out the experience. In of our many years of camping, this one takes home the award for the most pleasant stay in a beautiful place with beautiful people!
Oct 30, 2024 · chancewillowWe were travelling to an area nearby and the Frank's were able to accommodate us on a days notice. This place was absolutely stunning! The view was incredible. The site was good sized, level, and had a covered area with a picnic table. The office/ campstore had a few odds and ends but they also had their own assorted jams, relish, pickles and other all organic goods. Everything we purchased was really yummy. We can't wait to return when we can stay longer.
