Lazy L RV Park Introduce
When looking for "RV parks near me" in the Sherman, Texas area, Lazy L RV Park, located at 310 W Wilson Ave, Sherman, TX 75090, USA, is an option that appears in search results. They can be contacted at (903) 870-7772 or +1 903-870-7772. However, it is crucial for local users to carefully consider the recent feedback from customers before making a decision to stay at this park. The available reviews paint a concerning picture, particularly regarding short-term stays and the overall condition and management of the facility.
One reviewer recounted a negative experience as an overnight guest. They reported not being informed about a 5 p.m. check-in deadline. Upon arriving shortly after 5 p.m., they found no one at the office, no check-in instructions, and no indication of their assigned site. While a maintenance man eventually assisted by attempting to contact the owner (as the night host was away), the owner was initially unresponsive. The maintenance man had to physically go to the owner's residence to get information about their site. The assigned space was deemed unsuitable due to a large tree stump and another tree obstructing the use of their RV's slide-out. After moving to another space, the reviewer concluded that it was "not a good experience" and advised those just passing through to "keep going," suggesting that the park primarily caters to long-term renters.
Another reviewer expressed extreme dissatisfaction, stating, "If I could give a negative 5 I would! What a pig stye." This strong condemnation points to significant issues with the park's cleanliness. The reviewer, who stayed for three days due to car trouble, reported that the bathrooms were never cleaned during their entire stay, with the same trash remaining on the floor and stools. Additionally, they noted the absence of TV reception or cable, further detracting from their experience. This reviewer emphatically advised others to "DO NOT STAY THERE!"
Based on these two reviews, the environment at Lazy L RV Park appears to be problematic, especially for short-term visitors. The first review suggests potential disorganization regarding check-in procedures for late arrivals and issues with site suitability due to obstructions. The second review paints a picture of a severely unclean environment, particularly in the communal bathrooms, which is a significant concern for hygiene and overall comfort. The lack of expected amenities like TV reception or cable further diminishes the appeal for travelers looking for basic comforts during their stay.
In terms of services and features, the limited information from the reviews raises concerns. The difficulty in checking in after 5 p.m. suggests potentially inconvenient or poorly communicated policies for transient guests. The issue with the obstructed RV site indicates a lack of attention to site maintenance and usability. The reported absence of TV reception or cable is a notable lack of a common amenity found in many RV parks. Most alarmingly, the alleged lack of cleaning in the bathrooms points to a severe deficiency in basic hygiene and maintenance services.
The first review implies that Lazy L RV Park may primarily cater to long-term rentals, potentially at the expense of providing adequate service and facilities for overnight or short-term guests. This could explain the lack of a clear check-in process for arrivals outside of business hours and the apparent lack of concern for the suitability of sites for temporary stays.
There is no positive feedback or mention of any appealing features or promotional offers in the provided reviews. The overwhelming sentiment is negative, focusing on issues with management responsiveness, check-in procedures, site suitability, cleanliness, and basic amenities. Therefore, there is no basis to discuss any positive aspects of the environment, services, or features based on the current information.
Given the strongly negative experiences shared by these reviewers, local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Sherman, Texas, should exercise extreme caution when considering Lazy L RV Park. The reported issues with check-in, site suitability, and, most significantly, the lack of cleanliness in the bathrooms are serious red flags. The implication that the park prioritizes long-term residents may mean that short-term guests do not receive the same level of service or attention to basic needs.
Without any positive feedback or information about potential improvements or specific amenities, it is impossible to recommend Lazy L RV Park based on the currently available reviews. The issues raised suggest a poorly managed and maintained facility that may not provide a satisfactory or even hygienic experience for RV travelers, especially those staying for a short period. Local users are strongly advised to look at alternative "RV parks near me" in the Sherman area that have received more positive and less concerning feedback regarding cleanliness, management, and service for all types of guests.
In conclusion, the limited online feedback for Lazy L RV Park in Sherman, Texas, is overwhelmingly negative, citing significant issues with check-in procedures for late arrivals, unsuitable RV sites, and a severe lack of cleanliness, particularly in the bathrooms. The absence of basic amenities like TV reception or cable further detracts from the experience. The park appears to prioritize long-term rentals, potentially leading to subpar service and conditions for overnight or short-term guests. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" are strongly advised to consider these serious concerns and explore alternative RV park options in the Sherman area that have received more favorable reviews regarding their management, cleanliness, and overall guest experience.

Lazy L RV Park Reviews
The full-time stays might be OK, but an overnighter here was not good. We were not told that we had to check in before 5 p.m. When we arrived a little after 5, no one was there, no check-in papers, nothing. The maintenance man came by and tried to call the owner (since the night host was on vacation), but she wouldn't answer her phone. He finally went to her house, and she told him which space we should use. That space had a big tree stump and another tree, which kept us from being able to use our slide, so we moved to another space. Not a good experience. If you're just passing through, keep going. They definitely seem to only cater to the long term rentals.
Apr 08, 2025 · Sid HoffmanIf I could give a negative 5 I would! What a pig stye. We were there 3 days (not by choice, had car trouble). They never cleaned the bathrooms once! Same trash on floor and stools. No TV reception or cable. DO NOT STAY THERE!
Mar 04, 2025 · ToneE NI was pleasantly surprised by this location. Our lot was level. Hookups are convenient. The pads and roads are gravel. They don’t have a lot by way of amenities. They do have laundry and shower facilities. And they are right next to a camping world so you can easily walk there and get the supplies you might need.Looks like several permanent spots or someone has taken a lot of time to set up for a short stay.
May 01, 2024 · Stephen CassadyStayed 3 times over the years while passing though. They have 4 dedicated pull-thru spots for late overnight stops next to the office. Convenient. Nice pool and next door to camping world if you need accessories. But . . . .no cable, no over the air tv and though they advertise free wifi, It wasn't findable on 2 smart phones nor the smart tv. So bring dvds. Lol.Lots of road construction on approach to this place but it is doable. And less than $ 35.
Oct 04, 2024 · David CheatwoodWe were traveling through TX and got water in our diesel. Ended up staying at the Lazy L for 8 days while our truck was worked on. Vicki and Pam are such good people. The pool was not open, but it was early May. Got to expirence TX thunderstorms. Used the laundry, and it was nice and clean with good machines. We really appreciate the hospitality and kindness that we received at Lazy L.
