Glamplyfe - Happydale Retreat caters to those looking for a "camping near me" experience that elevates the traditional outdoor stay. While the name suggests a touch of glamour, the core appeal lies in providing comfortable and clean accommodations within a natural setting. Based on recent customer feedback, the retreat offers well-maintained cabins that ensure a pleasant stay, regardless of the season. Guests have specifically highlighted the cleanliness of both the cabins and the bathroom facilities, which is a significant factor for a comfortable camping experience.
The environment at Glamplyfe - Happydale Retreat appears to be a key draw. Situated close to the interstate, the campground surprisingly maintains a sense of tranquility within the cabins. Reviews indicate that while the proximity to the I-70 is noticeable, the noise level inside the accommodations remains minimal, allowing for a peaceful retreat. The presence of a small campfire spot adds to the traditional camping ambiance, offering a cozy setting for evening relaxation and marshmallow roasting.
In terms of services and features, Glamplyfe - Happydale Retreat aims to provide essential amenities for a comfortable stay. The cabins are equipped with heaters, ensuring warmth even during winter getaways, as noted by a recent guest. The availability of clean bathrooms, although requiring a short walk from the cabins, is a significant convenience compared to traditional camping setups. However, some areas for improvement have been identified by visitors. One guest mentioned the limited coffee options available at the on-site trailer, which differed from the advertised Blue Rose Coffee, offering only Keurig McDonald’s pods instead. This suggests that while some amenities are provided, they might not always align perfectly with expectations set by online information.
Another point of feedback concerns the accessibility of staff, particularly during check-out. One reviewer noted the office being locked with no staff available at around 11 AM, leading to a lack of direct interaction with campground representatives throughout their stay. This highlights a potential area for improvement in terms of guest communication and on-site support. For local users who value readily available assistance, this is something to consider.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall sentiment from reviews suggests that Glamplyfe - Happydale Retreat offers a good base for exploring the Cambridge, Ohio area or simply enjoying a relaxing time outdoors. The clean and comfortable cabins, coupled with the peaceful environment, make it an attractive option for couples, families, and even those traveling with pets, as one reviewer mentioned bringing their dog. The romantic winter getaway experience shared by one guest further underscores the potential for Glamplyfe to be a year-round destination for locals seeking a quick escape.
Considering the "camping near me" category, Glamplyfe - Happydale Retreat positions itself as a convenient option for those in the Cambridge and surrounding areas looking for a hassle-free outdoor experience. The availability of cabin rentals bridges the gap between traditional tent camping and hotel stays, offering a comfortable and sheltered accommodation option. This is particularly appealing for those who might be new to camping or prefer a bit more comfort. The inclusion of a campfire spot allows for the quintessential camping experience, while the clean bathrooms add a touch of modern convenience.

Glamplyfe - Happydale Retreat Reviews
Review of Our Recent StayMy wife, our dog, and I stayed at the cabin for one night and overall had a decent experience. Check-in was smooth and easy, and the cabin was clean and comfortable, which we appreciated. The bathroom was also spotless, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, there were a few minor disappointments. We were looking forward to enjoying a cup of Blue Rose Coffee from the trailer early in the morning, as advertised on their website, which opens at 9 AM. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we found that the trailer only had Keurig McDonald’s coffee pods available, which was not what we expected.Additionally, when we checked out around 11 AM, the office was locked, and no staff was available to speak with. We didn't have any direct interaction with campground representatives during our stay, which made it difficult to get questions answered or address concerns.Overall, it was an average to good stay—comfortable accommodations with some room for improvement in communication and amenities. We might consider returning if the amenities and staff availability are enhanced in the future.
Apr 17, 2025 · Tony HillStayed here with my husband for a romantic winter getaway and had a great time, the cabin was clean and beautiful, stayed very warm with the heater running. We are very close to the interstate but the traffic isn’t very loud and inside the cabin it is very quiet. I also want to point out the bed is kinda hard, could use a thicker mattress. The little campfire spot was nice and the bathrooms are a short walk away, it was slick getting up the hill to them in the winter though. The side walk in front of the bathrooms and road leading to them should really be salted in the winter. Overall I really enjoyed our stay and id love to come back and stay again when its warmer out!
Jan 15, 2025 · Bailey ColeMy husband and I came here last minute for a getaway. We love the outdoors and love any time of camping. This was so cozy & quaint. The view was pretty. The cabin beds were comfy. For being by the highway, it was pretty quiet. We will for sure be back with friends!Make sure you’re prepared to walk & bring a lighter.
Oct 20, 2024 · Hayden GreshamThis was such a great experience. From start to finish. Staff was friendly, bathrooms and cabin were so clean. Definitely will be visiting again.
Mar 18, 2025 · Ashley G-LovettSuch a sweet little spot for a getaway! My husband, puppy and I loved staying here for a night. The cabins are very cute and cozy and the bathrooms were really nice. The location is pretty close to the highway which was a bit noisy at times and the bathrooms were a bit of a walk away, but we still want to come back for another longer visit, no doubt! Such a great idea for a place to stay.
