Happy Hills Campground Reviews
We're new to camping, but Happy Hills was a good choice for our first time out. We were there mid-week in April, so there were not a lot of other people. We enjoyed the quiet solitude. The staff here was super nice and helpful. We went to dinner two nights at a nice little restaurant a few miles now the road( Potomac River Grill). The food was great!!We chose this campground because of it's close proximity to the Western Maryland Rail Trail. Our bike ride on the Rail Trail was just what we hoped for.I would definitely recommend this campground and plan to go back again.
Apr 20, 2025 · Dennis BassThis place is like my family. The owner, Terry, and Pam, along with their family, run the entire operation. The work hard to make the overall family experience one you will remember for a life time. I have been a seasonal camper here with my family for over 20 years. Keep up the hard work. Thanks to all.
Feb 04, 2025 · Ricky WhitmireWe have been camping here for 10 years and we love it for a multitude of reasons. I go each year during Halloween and hang out around the bonfire, listen to the DJ and talk to a lot of friends old and new up there, but this weekend I actually went through the haunted barn. I was amazed at the level of creativity and work I saw in each room I entered. I know all the blood, sweat and tears that goes into making this event a success each year, and it effects not only the staff but the volunteers as well. They put their heart into everything they do to please their customers. If you have a chance to get up there, go! It's worth the money. It's not just the haunted barn you get to enjoy, it's the music, the fun, THE PEOPLE. 🥰
Oct 27, 2024 · Staci SeibertNot the greatest experience at this campground. Our site was really not setup for a travel trailer our size. The tree branches were low so we had to try and squeeze between them to get the slide out. Even then the branches were still rubbing on the camper and we could not get the awning out. The site was not very level so it took a bit to get things right. I would not go here in October. The Halloween festivities are cool but for some reason they blasted a cannon boom every 60 seconds for like 4 hours until midnight, even when asked to stop they wouldn't. Not a pleasant experience, definitely stay away from the barn area in October if you intend on getting any sleep. Otherwise not a terrible place, lots of golf carts, utvs, 4 wheelers and apparently the middle of the road is where folks like to have social hour. There were some road washouts as others have mentioned. Just ok. Probably won't be going back to this one.
Oct 27, 2024 · Ken ThomasJust left there and it was wonderful. My husband and i got to meet Terry, his daughters and Josh and they are very nice people. Very down to earth. Anything we needed or questions we had they did not hesitate to help with. They keep the grounds beautiful. We booked again before we left and cant wait to take out grandbabies. Loved it.
