Based on customer reviews, Ice Springs Campground is described as a "very nice campground" with a mostly flat terrain, making it potentially accessible for a variety of camping setups. Its proximity to a creek is a significant environmental feature, likely offering a soothing ambiance and possibly opportunities for fishing or simply enjoying the water's edge. The presence of a creek often enhances the natural beauty and provides a focal point for relaxation within a campground setting.
One reviewer noted that a couple of campsites are located right off the creek, offering premium creek-side access. However, it's crucial to be aware that the dirt road leading to these specific sites is described as "VERY rocky and steep." The reviewer expressed doubt that a standard SUV would be able to navigate this road, suggesting that these particular campsites might only be accessible to vehicles with high clearance and four-wheel drive capabilities. Despite this access challenge, the reviewer acknowledged that these creek-side spots are "a beautiful spot for sure," highlighting the potential reward for those with suitable vehicles.
Beyond the immediate campground, the location of Ice Springs Campground on Trinity Mountain Road appears to offer access to a broader range of outdoor activities. One review mentions "a good walking trail and trails you can go on," indicating opportunities for hiking and exploring the surrounding scenic area. These trails likely provide access to the natural beauty of the Trinity Mountains and could cater to various fitness levels and preferences for outdoor exploration.
Another significant feature mentioned in the reviews is the campground's reputation for hunting. This could be a major draw for those visiting the area during hunting seasons, providing a convenient base camp with access to hunting grounds. Prospective campers interested in hunting should inquire about any specific regulations or guidelines related to hunting within or near the campground.
The reviews also highlight the campground's proximity to Anderson Ranch Reservoir. Access to the reservoir involves taking a "steep hill down to the dam." While described as beautiful, the steepness might be a consideration for individuals with mobility issues or those carrying heavy gear. The reviewer also suggests an alternative route through the towns of Pine and Feather Ville for those who might not be comfortable with heights or the steep descent. The proximity to Anderson Ranch Reservoir expands the recreational opportunities available to campers, potentially including boating, fishing, and other water-based activities.
In terms of services and features within the campground itself, one review mentions the presence of a bathroom. However, no details are provided regarding the type, condition, or number of bathroom facilities available. Information about other common campground amenities such as water access (beyond the creek), fire pits, picnic tables, or waste disposal is not included in the reviews. Prospective campers should contact Ice Springs Campground directly to inquire about the availability and condition of these essential services.
Promotional information is not provided in the available data. To learn about site availability, reservation procedures, fees, or any specific rules and regulations, interested individuals should contact the campground directly using the phone numbers listed. Given the positive aspects highlighted in the reviews, such as the nice campground, creek proximity, and access to trails and hunting, it would be beneficial to inquire about booking in advance, especially during peak seasons.

Ice Springs Campground Reviews
This was a very nice campground. The campground was mostly flat and relatively close to the creek. There were a couple campsites right off the creek, but the dirt road going to those two campsites was VERY rocky and steep. I don't see a standard SUV making it down that short steep road. It is a beautiful spot for sure.
Sep 20, 2023 · D DiasBeautiful location and over all a good walking trail and trails you can go on. There is a creek, and a bathroom there. It’s really famous for hunting. You take this steep hill down to the dam and it’s Anderson Ranch. It’s steep, but so beautiful! If you don’t like heights you might be able to go through pine and feather vill I think that’s the other little town.
Aug 02, 2022 · Alisha BarenbergNice place, you can walk down about 100ft to Ice Creek. We were there during a burn ban (08/18) so no fires or grills, only campstoves.
Sep 08, 2018 · Stacie HansenLots of room for campers and wall tents but no bathrooms. Bathrooms were supposed to be added to replace the one they took out but it never happened. Lots of potholes and uneven ground from all the traffic in the campground. It makes it hard to sleep in a tent or tipi. Great location for hunting up in the mountains.
