The environment surrounding Ives Run Campground is primarily defined by its proximity to Tioga Lake. This large and picturesque lake serves as the central attraction, offering campers stunning waterfront views and a multitude of water-based recreational activities. Imagine waking up to the tranquil sight of the lake and having easy access for fishing, boating, and simply enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The campground is likely situated along the shores of the lake, providing many campsites with convenient access to the water's edge. The landscape in this part of Pennsylvania is typically characterized by rolling hills and woodlands, suggesting that campers can expect a blend of natural beauty, with opportunities for both lakeside relaxation and exploring the surrounding forested areas.
Based on the available information, details about specific services and features of Ives Run Campground can be gleaned from customer reviews. One reviewer enthusiastically mentions the "Great lake to fish on!!" and the "Great boat launch." This strongly indicates that Ives Run Campground caters to those interested in angling and boating activities on Tioga Lake. The presence of a boat launch is a significant feature for campers who plan to bring their own boats or rent them nearby, providing easy access to the lake's waters for fishing, water sports, or leisurely cruising. The positive comment about fishing suggests that Tioga Lake is a productive and enjoyable destination for anglers of all skill levels.
However, the reviews also highlight a potential issue regarding parking at the campground. One reviewer states, "Only issue I have is the parking. You only can park on the blacktop where your camper goes. You aren't allowed to park in or on the grass. If you have 2 vehicles, there is no room to park at your site. You will have to park a ways away and walk." This suggests that parking space at individual campsites might be limited to the designated blacktop area, which is primarily intended for the camper itself. Campers traveling with more than one vehicle should be aware that they may need to park their additional vehicle(s) in a separate, potentially distant, parking area and walk to their campsite. This is an important consideration for those who value close proximity to their vehicles during their camping trip.
Another significant point raised in the reviews concerns the behavior of the camp host. One reviewer recounts a negative interaction, stating that the "camp host who ever was on duty was rude." The review details an incident where the host allegedly pounded on the front of the camper to address a parking issue, rather than approaching the campers in a more polite and communicative manner. This feedback suggests that the quality of interactions with campground staff might be inconsistent, and some visitors have experienced a lack of courtesy. While this is based on a single review, it is something potential campers might want to keep in mind and perhaps inquire about when making reservations or upon arrival.
Despite the concerns about parking and the reported negative interaction with a camp host, the positive remarks about the lake and boat launch indicate that Ives Run Campground has appealing features, particularly for those interested in enjoying Tioga Lake. The opportunity for great fishing and convenient boat access are significant draws. Campers who prioritize these activities might find Ives Run Campground to be a worthwhile destination, provided they are prepared for the parking limitations and potential variability in staff interactions.

The "Great boat launch" and "Great lake to fish on!!" are significant features for boating and fishing enthusiasts. However, potential campers should be aware of the reported parking limitations, where additional vehicles may need to be parked away from the campsite. Ives Run Campground Reviews
Like someone else said camp host who ever was on duty was rude. They could use some manners. Car was two tires on the grass, that was not even moved in and out. Could of asked nicely to move it over. How ever our camper door was wide open. But this lady ( camp hosts) decided to pound on the front of our camper. Don't knock nicely to ask us to move it. Didn't even have a chance to speak nicely or anything ran back across the road. Kindness goes along way. I know you deal with this alot, but first might be a nice hello can you move your car. NOT BEAT THE HECK OUT OF THE FRONT OF SOMEONE'S CAMPER. You think you would try a little to be nice first. The grass cutters made more of a mess than a parked car just saying. Or maybe EVEN the campers being backed in to the space.

Jun 14, 2024 · Michael LeoneStayed on site 113. Very spacious and fairly level. Lots of room to spread out, and not too close to neighboring sites. Big open field behind it. The power outlet was between 114 + 113, and a bit far from where our camper cord was. So needed to use an extension. Otherwise I loved the campground. Bathrooms were always clean, family style, with flush toilets and hot water showers.
May 14, 2024 · Amanda FanslerThis is a great campground. Grounds and bath houses were very well maintained. Close to the pine creek rail trail and the PA grand canyon. Highly recommend camping there.
Oct 13, 2024 · Jeff SnyderThis was our second time camping at Ives Run. The park is nicely maintained. We enjoyed swimming at the swim area. We were in H116 in the Hickory loop. The site was fairly level and had enough room for our 28 ft Motorhome. Beware that most of the sites in the Hickory loop share a utility post (water/electric) between two campsites. We had to purchase a longer hose and 30A extension cable to be able to reach the hookups. We camped at Ives Run in a Motorhome.
