Jackman Landing Campground & Cabins Introduce
Are you searching for the perfect "camping near me" getaway in the heart of Maine? Look no further than Jackman Landing Campground & Cabins, nestled at 582 Main St, Jackman, ME 04945, USA. This campground offers a unique blend of natural beauty and convenient amenities, making it an ideal destination for various outdoor enthusiasts.
Jackman Landing Campground & Cabins boasts a prime location that caters to those who love water-based activities. Situated with access to waterways perfect for fishing, boating, and kayaking, it's a haven for anglers and paddlers alike. Imagine spending your days casting a line in the pristine waters or exploring the shoreline by kayak. According to a recent visitor, the access to water is a major highlight, contributing to an "awesome summer" experience for families.
Beyond the water, the campground also provides access to ATV trails, appealing to adventure seekers looking to explore the Maine wilderness on four wheels. After an exhilarating day on the trails, you can unwind by the campfire, sharing stories and enjoying the tranquility of the outdoors. This combination of activities makes Jackman Landing a versatile choice for different interests within your group.
The campground offers a range of accommodation options to suit various preferences. While the majority of the sites appear to be geared towards RVs, with some seemingly occupied by full-timers, there are also a few tent sites available. It's worth noting, however, that one recent review mentioned a less-than-ideal experience with a tent site that was described as "terrible" and prone to flooding during rain due to a lack of drainage. This feedback suggests that if you plan on tent camping, it might be wise to inquire specifically about the conditions and location of the available tent sites when making your reservation.
On a more positive note, the same reviewer who experienced issues with the tent site praised the excellent condition of the bathrooms. Clean and well-maintained facilities can significantly enhance the overall camping experience, and this aspect seems to be a strong point at Jackman Landing Campground & Cabins.
The management also appears to be responsive to customer concerns. The reviewer who had to leave early due to flooding mentioned receiving a refund for one night, and described the woman in the office as "nice and friendly," despite the office being a little difficult to locate. This indicates a willingness to address issues and provide good customer service.
For those seeking a more comfortable and sheltered stay, the name also suggests the availability of cabins. Cabins can be an excellent option, especially during less predictable weather, offering a cozy retreat after a day of outdoor adventures. If you prefer a cabin over tent or RV camping, it would be beneficial to contact the campground directly to inquire about the types and availability of their cabins.
To get in touch with Jackman Landing Campground & Cabins and learn more about their offerings, including site availability, cabin rentals, and any current promotions, you can call them at (207) 668-3301 or their mobile number +1 207-668-3301. Speaking directly with the staff will allow you to ask specific questions based on your needs and preferences, such as the best sites for tent camping or details about the cabins.
In summary, Jackman Landing Campground & Cabins presents itself as a gateway to outdoor activities in Maine, particularly for those interested in fishing, boating, kayaking, and ATV riding. While feedback on the tent sites has been mixed, the campground boasts excellent bathroom facilities and seemingly friendly customer service. With a mix of RV sites, limited tent sites, and potentially cabins, it caters to a range of camping styles. For local users searching for "camping near me" that offers access to both water and trails, Jackman Landing is certainly worth considering. We recommend contacting them directly to discuss your specific accommodation needs and to get the most up-to-date information on site conditions and availability. Discover the beauty of Maine's wilderness at Jackman Landing Campground & Cabins!

Jackman Landing Campground & Cabins Reviews
If you love access to water for fishing or boating and kayaking. If you love access to ATV trails or just chilling by the fire, you will enjoy this camping experience. My family and I want to thank James and Jennie for an awesome summer 😊
Sep 02, 2024 · Shawn BellThe tent sites were terrible, It felt like we were in the middle of a swamp. So wet our tent flooded...The bathrooms were excellent I will give them that..Due to the rain and no drainage on our tent site we got flooded out and had to leave early..Very disappointed since this was our grandson's first camping trip ever.We were able to get refunded for 1 night and the women in the office(was a little hard to find) seemed nice and friendly. Most of the sites at this Campground are for RV'S.(looked like some were full timers)Only have a few tent sites available.
Jul 16, 2023 · JOANN NicholsThis small campground offers a great camping experience. Site 11 is at the very end with great access to the boat launch. Most of the camp sites have clean long term rentals. The shower house is brand new. Showers are $2 for 5 minutes. We saw a moose, eagles, osprey, comorant, loon, and a family of geese. Fishing was great! Next time we'll bring our kayaks. The dump station is easily accessible on your way out. Campfire wood is available on site. There is also a laundromat. The camp hosts are very responsive by email. There is a water plane on site for tours. The cons...not a lot of shade, wifi was spotty (but it was raining and who needs wifi when you're at a beautiful site!) and there were lots of cigarette butts left at the campsite by previous campers. Other than that we loved this park and hope to go back soon!
Jun 21, 2023 · Stef CarterI can’t say enough about how great my stay was here! I was just in the area for a night doing some fishing, the owners went out of their way to make sure I got the perfect site and they even brought firewood right to my site. If you are looking for a nice and quiet campground in Jackman, look no further. I will be back but bringing my wife and kids up next time!
Sep 02, 2023 · Masin JordanOut of this world, no-one was around - just a sign on the door with instructions which site we could use and a moneybox to put the money in Total trust. Amazing view. No internet but you can get internet next door at the library.
