The environment of Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA Holiday, based on customer reviews, appears to be a well-laid-out park. One reviewer mentioned liking the layout, suggesting an organized and potentially spacious campground. However, another review noted a significant issue with flooding during rain, indicating that certain areas of the park might be prone to water accumulation. While the overall aesthetic and organization seem positive, local users considering this for "camping near me" should be aware of the potential for flooding in some spots during wet weather. The proximity to I-95, as mentioned by a returning visitor, suggests easy access, which can be a significant advantage for those traveling or looking for a convenient local getaway.
In terms of services, the Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA Holiday offers several amenities. A significant highlight from the reviews is the "nice big pool" which also features a waterslide, making it particularly attractive for families and those looking to cool off during the Georgia heat. The campground also has a bathhouse. While a free breakfast is mentioned, it's noted that this may not be included for guests staying for a month or longer. One review mentions a well-stocked store and a restaurant room where you can eat or have food delivered to your site, suggesting convenient options for meals and supplies. However, it's also noted that electricity is often charged separately from the lot rent, and one customer felt the cost per kilowatt was higher than the local electric company's rates, which contributed to a higher overall cost for longer stays. Internet service was reportedly problematic in the past but improvements were mentioned. Local users considering this for "camping near me" should inquire about the current internet reliability and the breakdown of utility costs.
The features of this KOA Holiday seem to cater to a variety of interests. The presence of a pool with a waterslide is a major feature, especially for families. A miniature golf course is mentioned, although one review pointed out that it was in disrepair ("green is completely tore up"). There's also a tetherball court and a games room, providing recreational options. A clubhouse exists, but it was reportedly often shut down due to a leaking roof, although it offered a couch and a TV. The well-laid-out park design itself can be considered a feature, contributing to a more enjoyable stay. For local users seeking "camping near me" with on-site activities, the pool area stands out, but the condition of other amenities like the mini-golf and the clubhouse should be considered. The friendly and helpful staff, as highlighted by a repeat visitor, is also a significant positive feature.

Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA Holiday Reviews
I stayed for a few months. I wish the free breakfast was included but not for folks staying a month or more.I did like the nice big pool and the layout of the park. However, we had to move spots . Which was only a little better, cause everything it rained, the park would flood. And, I mean FLOOD!I thought they were rather expensive. You have to pay for electric plus your lot rent, which is pretty high. It's well water...and they charge more per kilowatt then the electric company.. which that kinda upset me when I found out.Overall, we were paying almost $1200 for a small RV lot.Other then the swimming pool and a bathhouse there really isn't any other amenities. They do have a miniature golf course however the green is completely tore up and it's not been updated. The have a club house but it was shut down a lot cause the roof was leaking. They had a couch u can sit down on and read and I think a TV.Internet at that time was so bad.. it was down more then up.. however, I heard the made improvements to this.In general, I thought it was just okay but would go back more then a weekend.
Mar 23, 2025 · MelissaHave now stayed at this campground two years in a row on our return trip from Florida to Ontario. This is one of our favourite KOAs. Friendly and helpful staff. Well laid out park that is close to I-95. Terrific amenities including a pool with a water slide, mini-putt golf course, tether ball court, games room, well-stocked store, restaurant room for meals or have food delivered to your site, and much more. First year we stayed at the park, a bad storm forced us to stay for another night and the park staff easily accommodated us.
Apr 13, 2025 · Eric FagenWe’ve stayed here several times over last five years. First stay in a deluxe cabin. Absolutely amazing and we loved it! Clean, comfortable, cozzy. Friendly staff, clean grounds. Nice dog park. Pet friendly, kid friendly. Highly recommend. Video coming out on Hammocks to Coasters on YouTube.
Feb 12, 2025 · Kristina Varnum (Hammocks to Coasters)Nice park with lots of trees and a pool. There was a clubhouse and waffles for breakfast. We were able to find hiking, biking and golfing a short drive away. Sites are close, but not cramped, and level. Staff was very helpful.
Apr 02, 2025 · MD BarrVery good location right off the highway. Super friendly staff, and very helpful. Has a playground, pool, and individual dog pens. RV spaces are level and gravel, surrounded by tall pines. Also has a 24 hour laundromat. Only minor minor drawback; only three shower stalls in men's bathroom. But hey, that's a small thing. They'll also provide breakfast and dinner as well as firewood. Nothing is more than maybe a 150-yard walk at the furthest point, so it's convenient.
