Jetty Park Campground Introduce
Looking for a "camping near me" experience with a unique coastal setting in Florida? Jetty Park Campground, located at 100 Jetty Park Rd, Port Canaveral, FL 32920, offers an exceptional location that sets it apart. You can reach them at (321) 783-7111 or +1 321-783-7111 for inquiries and reservations. While it might not be the most luxurious RV park in the state, according to visitor reviews, its reasonable pricing and unparalleled access to local attractions make it a compelling option for those seeking a memorable stay.
The environment of Jetty Park Campground is undeniably its standout feature. Situated in Port Canaveral, it offers a front-row seat to the bustling activity of a major cruise ship port. Campers can enjoy the spectacular sight of cruise ships sailing in and out, a unique experience not commonly found at other campgrounds. Furthermore, its proximity to the Kennedy Space Center makes it a prime location for viewing rocket launches, offering an awe-inspiring experience directly from the campground. Beyond these man-made wonders, Jetty Park Campground is also a short walk away from the beach and a fishing pier, providing easy access to the natural beauty and recreational opportunities of the Atlantic coast. The reviews suggest a secure and relatively quiet atmosphere, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
In terms of services and features, Jetty Park Campground offers full hookup sites, which typically include electricity, water, and sewer connections, catering primarily to RV travelers. One reviewer noted that their site, while offering ample space to back in a small motorhome and park a towed truck, had limited shade. This is a factor to consider, especially during the hot Florida summers. The staff at Jetty Park Campground are consistently described as friendly and helpful, contributing to a positive guest experience. While the park itself is described as "simple" and not the "fanciest," it provides the necessary infrastructure for a comfortable stay, especially given its prime location.
One point of feedback from a reviewer mentions ongoing renovations to the main building, which have apparently been in progress for an extended period. However, it's positive to note that the public restrooms were reported to be open and accessible despite the construction. This suggests that essential facilities are maintained for guests even during renovations. The availability of a fishing pier within walking distance is a significant feature for anglers, providing a convenient place to fish in the Atlantic Ocean. The beach access further enhances the recreational opportunities, allowing guests to enjoy swimming, sunbathing, and beachcombing just a short stroll from their campsite.
Based on the provided reviews, there is no specific promotional information mentioned for Jetty Park Campground. Local users interested in potential discounts for longer stays, off-season rates, or any special packages would need to contact the campground directly via phone to inquire about current offers. Given its prime location and reasonable pricing mentioned by a reviewer, it's advisable to check for availability and make reservations in advance, especially during peak seasons or around scheduled rocket launches and cruise ship events, which are likely to draw more visitors to the area.
For local users searching for "camping near me" in the Port Canaveral area, Jetty Park Campground offers a compelling combination of affordability and a truly unique location. The opportunity to witness cruise ship departures and rocket launches, coupled with easy access to the beach and fishing pier, provides a diverse range of experiences. While the campground might be basic in terms of luxury and shade might be limited on some sites, the friendly staff and full hookup availability for RVs ensure a comfortable stay. The ongoing renovations to the main building are something to be aware of, but the continued operation of essential facilities like public restrooms is a positive sign.
In conclusion, Jetty Park Campground is an excellent option for local RV owners and travelers seeking a "camping near me" experience that prioritizes location and value. Its proximity to major attractions like the cruise port and Kennedy Space Center, along with its beach and pier access, makes it a standout choice. While it might not offer the extensive amenities of a high-end RV resort, its reasonable prices and the unique experiences it provides – from watching cruise ships sail to potentially witnessing rocket launches – make it a worthwhile consideration for your next coastal camping adventure in Florida. Remember to call ahead for reservations and to inquire about any specific site preferences or ongoing facility updates.

Jetty Park Campground Reviews
OK, it’s not the fanciest RV park in Florida, but it’s reasonably priced and the location can’t be beat. The Jetty Park Campground staff members are friendly and helpful. We had a full hookup site, not much shade, but fairly easy to back our small motorhome into and still have space to park our towed truck. It’s great for watching cruise ships sail, rockets launch, and you’re just a short walk away from the beach and pier. Quiet and very secure!
Apr 27, 2025 · Steve SandeThe park itself is simple, but nice. A great place to go fishing or to watch the cruise ships sail off or spend some time at the beach. The issue is that the main building has been being renovated for what seems like forever. At least the public restrooms are still open.
Mar 21, 2025 · David DouglassWe are almost done a month long stay here. It’s been great and we are so happy we chose it. The campground is clean. Laundry and bathrooms are spotless. The workers couldn’t be nicer. There are so many things to do. Beautiful beach is just steps away. It’s cool to watch the cruise ships come and go. We saw about 7 launches and even saw a submarine.Took an airboat ride close by was really cool. Hope we can get a spot here next year!
Mar 29, 2025 · donna dicoccoWe brought our camper, awesome place to camp. It was quite windy, enjoyed the temperature of 61F at night. It's nice because fishing and beach activities are near. We didn't get any fish when we went fishing in the morning. We'll try again later at night.
Apr 12, 2025 · Donny Gochuico (DGoch)I could not respond regarding rooms, location or anything other than the service, which was embarrassing. We made a reservation to stay at Jetty Park based on a friend’s recommendation. The reservation was for this coming September. We are currently in the area camping elsewhere so we wanted to check out the park and campground. We purchased a $15 day pass to go visit. When we arrived, we were told we could not enter the park as we had our two 12 pound dogs in the car and they had a no pet policy. Pets were only allowed in the campground. We assured the person at the gate they would not leave the car, we only wanted to drive around, see the park and campground. We were told we could not get into the campground as we were not camping there. We camp a good bit and have never been told we cannot see a campground prior to checking in. As we were turned around at the gate, we decided to go ahead and leave. We then decided to cancel our reservation in September and ask for a refund. They did refund all but $46, which I thought was an excessive amount to not even get a t-shirt. Somebody is dropping the ball at this park. We would have gladly handed over our driver’s license, been given a time limit for entry, but we were simply turned away. We have been trying to find a park in the area for get away weeks. Unfortunately, Jetty Park will not be that location.
