Jubilee College Campground Introduce
Are you searching for "camping near me" that offers a tranquil and roomy environment for your next outdoor getaway? Jubilee College Campground, located in Brimfield, Illinois (61517, USA), might be the perfect destination. Based on recent customer feedback, this campground is highly regarded for its quiet atmosphere and spacious campsites, providing a relaxing retreat for campers of all kinds. The campground is divided into three distinct loops – A, B, and C – each with its own characteristics and reservation policies.
The environment at Jubilee College Campground is described as quiet and spacious, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a peaceful camping experience away from the noise and congestion of more crowded campgrounds. The presence of three separate loops suggests a well-laid-out area, potentially offering a variety of settings within the overall campground. While the specific natural features of the area aren't detailed, being located in Brimfield, Illinois, one might expect a landscape typical of the region, possibly including wooded areas, open fields, or proximity to local natural attractions. The emphasis on spaciousness implies that campsites are well-separated, providing campers with a sense of privacy and room to spread out.
In terms of services, Jubilee College Campground offers electric hookups at each campsite, a significant convenience for RVers and those who rely on electricity for appliances or charging devices. A notable feature, as highlighted by a reviewer, is that Loop B is the only loop equipped with showers, making it a preferred choice for campers who value this amenity. While individual water hookups are not available at each site, the campground does have water faucets located throughout. Knowledgeable campers can select a site close to a faucet to ease the process of filling water tanks or accessing water for other needs. This suggests a degree of planning and familiarity with the campground can enhance the camping experience.
The features of Jubilee College Campground include a clear reservation system for Loops A and B, which are available for online booking only, with a requirement that reservations must be made at least three days in advance. This policy allows campers to secure their preferred spot ahead of time, providing peace of mind, especially during peak seasons. In contrast, Loop C operates on a first-come, first-serve basis, offering flexibility for those who prefer a more spontaneous approach to camping. However, it's important to note that even if you set up camp in Loops A or B without a reservation, if someone with an online reservation arrives at your site, they have priority, and you will be required to relocate. This highlights the importance of adhering to the reservation system for a guaranteed spot in Loops A and B.
Another notable feature is the campground's policy on the length of stay. Campers are limited to a maximum of 14 days within a 30-day period. After a 30-day interval away from the campground, they are welcome to return. This regulation suggests that Jubilee College Campground caters to both short-term and potentially extended stays, while also ensuring availability for other campers. The experience of a motorhome camper illustrates the internal layout of the campground, where walking or biking are the primary modes of transportation once set up. This pedestrian and bicycle-friendly environment contributes to the quiet and relaxed atmosphere.
While specific promotional offers are not mentioned, the inherent promotion of Jubilee College Campground lies in its reputation for being a quiet and spacious camping area with essential amenities like electricity and showers (in Loop B). The availability of online reservations for Loops A and B adds convenience and certainty for planners, while the first-come, first-serve option for Loop C caters to those with more flexible schedules. The helpfulness of the campground staff, as evidenced by the worker assisting the motorhome camper with firewood, also contributes positively to the overall appeal.
For local users seeking "camping near me" in the Brimfield area, Jubilee College Campground offers a well-structured and amenity-equipped option. The choice between the reservation-based Loops A and B and the first-come, first-serve Loop C provides flexibility for different camping styles. The presence of showers in Loop B is a significant draw for those who prefer this convenience. The spaciousness of the campsites and the quiet environment promise a relaxing and enjoyable outdoor experience. The limitation on the length of stay suggests that the campground aims to serve a variety of campers throughout the season.
To make the most of a stay at Jubilee College Campground, it is advisable to consult any available campground maps online to identify the locations of water faucets in relation to potential campsites. If showers are a priority, booking a site in Loop B in advance is recommended. For those opting for the first-come, first-serve Loop C, arriving early, especially on weekends or during peak season, is wise to secure a spot. Campers should also be prepared for internal movement within the campground via walking or bicycle.
In conclusion, Jubilee College Campground in Brimfield, Illinois, offers a compelling "camping near me" option for those seeking a quiet and spacious retreat. With three distinct loops, electric hookups at each site, and showers available in Loop B, it caters to a range of camping needs. The online reservation system for Loops A and B provides convenience and security, while Loop C offers a more spontaneous option. The friendly service, as highlighted by a reviewer, adds to the positive experience. If you value peace, space, and essential amenities for your camping trip, Jubilee College Campground is definitely worth considering.

Jubilee College Campground Reviews
If you want a quiet, spacious place to camp, this is it. There are 3 different loops - A, B & C. We stay in loop B as this is the only loop with showers. While each site only has electricity, if you know the campground, you can select a site that's close to a water faucet so you don't have to fill up your tank before you get to your site. That's what we did. There are a few faucets here & there. You can only stay here up to 14 days in a 30-day period. Then, after 30 days, you can come back. Loops A & B are reserve online only & you have to make that reservation 3 days in advance. Loop C is first come, first serve. If you show up without a reservation, you can camp in Loops A & B but if someone made a reservation online while you're still in that spot, they have priority so you will need to pack up & find another spot.
Aug 11, 2023 · Adventures with BCI was camping in my motor home for a couple of nights. After setting up the only way to get around was to walk or ride my bicycle . The second day I decided I wanted to grab 3 bundles of firewood. I rode my bike to the wood shed and was going to make 3 trips , 1 bundle at a time.Just at that moment a worker on his Gator came by and I told him my situation. I asked him if he would take 3 bundles to my campsite. He agreed. !!!A big thank you to the young man who I believe was on bathroom detail. He certainly saved me a lot of leg work
Oct 15, 2024 · Steve HWonderful campsites. Fairly open, but some spots have shade. Lots of grass. Not overly crowded for mid-July. Just showed up, registered, and enjoyed the late afternoon and evening. Just far enough off the freeway that traffic noise could not be heard.
Jul 25, 2024 · Steven L. AdamsReally quiet out here tonight. Few campers in a big park. Showers are really really too hot but fixed up on reported.
May 30, 2023 · Kim GossettGood location to the Peoria area and services on the NW side. Most sites are shaded with some out in the open. Bathrooms/Showers need a major makeover. Very busy on W/E holiday, with up to 4 or 5 vehicles on each campsite. EVERY campsite burning wood fire in grate at night. Bugs in August were acceptable. Dump & Water was very good and accessable on exit of campground. People camping here have been coming for years, and we as travelers through the area stayed 4 nights and the neighbors were VERY friendly.
