Jubilee Lake Campground Introduce
For local users in Oregon searching for "camping near me," Jubilee Lake Campground, located off Forest Service Road 64, offers a fantastic family-oriented camping experience centered around a beautiful crystal-clear lake. Praised for its scenic views, spacious and private campsites, and pet-friendly atmosphere, Jubilee Lake Campground provides a wonderful setting for a summer getaway. The campground is equipped with essential amenities such as water spigots and bathrooms, and the lake offers opportunities for lakeside fun with a walking path encircling it. However, potential visitors should also be aware of certain conditions, including a significant washboard road leading to the campground, the absence of cell service, and potential dust issues.
Environment and Ambiance:
Jubilee Lake Campground boasts a picturesque environment with a "beautiful crystal clear lake" as its centerpiece. The lake is easily accessible and features a walking path that goes all the way around, perfect for leisurely strolls and enjoying the scenic views. The absence of bikes on the path ensures a safe and pedestrian-friendly experience for walkers of all ages. The campground is described as being located in an area with views that "don't disappoint," suggesting a visually appealing natural landscape surrounding the lake and campsites.
Despite being busy during peak season (as indicated by the summer 2024 trip review), the campsites at Jubilee Lake Campground are noted for being "very private." This is a significant advantage, allowing families and individuals to enjoy their own space and a sense of seclusion even when the campground is full. The combination of the beautiful lake and the private campsites creates a balanced environment that caters to both social interaction around the lake and quiet relaxation at the individual sites.
The journey to Jubilee Lake Campground, however, involves navigating a "washboard road" that is described as "bumpy lumpy bumipty bump." This significant stretch of rough road, estimated to be 6-9 miles long, is a recurring point in reviews. While one visitor in a truck reported surviving "just fine" by maintaining a speed of 40 mph when safe, drivers of smaller vehicles or those sensitive to bumpy rides should be prepared for this challenging road condition. The dust associated with this road is also mentioned as a significant factor, with one reviewer stating, "VERY DUSTY, YOU CAN NOT ESCAPE IT UNLESS YOU BAIL IN THE LAKE." This suggests that visitors should be prepared for dusty conditions affecting their vehicles and belongings.
Services and Amenities:
Jubilee Lake Campground is equipped with several essential services and amenities to enhance the camping experience. "Water spouts" are available, with one located near each campsite, providing convenient access to water. Bathroom facilities are present throughout the campground, although the type varies. Some lucky campers might find "flushable toilet and running water" bathrooms nearby, while others will encounter "outhouse style" vault toilets. Visitors should be prepared for either type and exercise caution with the vault toilets, as humorously advised by one reviewer.
The campground is "pet friendly," making it a great option for families who like to travel with their animal companions. The spaciousness of the campsites likely contributes to the comfort of accommodating pets. For parking, Jubilee Lake Campground offers "2 extra parking lots for overflow parking" in addition to parking at individual campsites. This is a helpful feature, especially when the campground is busy, and there is also a parking area next to the lake for those who prefer not to hike from their campsite.
Garbage disposal does not appear to be an issue, as the campground was reported as "clean" with "many huge garbage cans" provided throughout. This indicates that the campground management prioritizes cleanliness and provides adequate facilities for waste management. It's important to note that during the summer (August, as mentioned in one review), "NO CAMPFIRES ALLOWED" due to potential fire risks. Campers should adhere strictly to this rule and plan for alternative cooking methods.
The campground also enforces a "QUIET TIME" from 10 PM to 6 AM to ensure a peaceful night's sleep for all visitors. However, one reviewer humorously notes that there are always inconsiderate individuals, so bringing earplugs might be advisable for light sleepers.
A notable limitation is the complete absence of cell service ("NO CELL SERVICE"). This means that visitors should be prepared to be disconnected during their stay and should plan accordingly for communication and emergencies.
The campground features a "ONE WAY road loop" around the campground, which visitors should be aware of when navigating to their campsites or the lake parking area.

Jubilee Lake Campground Reviews
Great Family Campground with the added bonus of Lake side Fun! Equipped with water spouts, bathrooms, and 2 extra parking lots for overflow parking. Pet friendly and spacious. The views don't disappoint, either. 10/10.
Jul 22, 2024 · Brielonna CookSummer 2024 camping trip was excellent! Our first time here, and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful crystal clear lake with a walking path all the way around. No bikes are allowed on the path. The campground was busy, but the sites were very private.Bathrooms are all throughout the campground - we lucked out with a flushable toilet and running water one near us, but there were some outhouse style ones, so just don't fall down the deep dark hole!Lots of reviews noted the washboard road coming in... Yes, it is WASHBOARD. Bumpy lumpy bumipty bump. It's probably 6-9 miles long. We survived just fine in a truck, keeping speed at 40 mph when no other cars were passing.Garbage didn't seem to be an issue during our stay. Was clean, and many huge garbage cans are provided throughout. There is a water spicket near each campsite. Also, some other things to note:- NO CELL SERVICE- VERY DUSTY, YOU CAN NOT ESCAPE IT UNLESS YOU BAIL IN THE LAKE- NO CAMPFIRES ALLOWED (August)- QUIET TIME 10PM-6AM (There's always those obnoxious ones who like to party into the wee hours, so bring earplugs if you don't want to hear the echos of lunatics!)-There is a parking area next to the lake if you don't want to hike from your campsite. It's a ONE WAY road loop around the campground, so you'll have to circle.Had a fun trip overall. Kids will be excited to go back someday!

Jan 16, 2025 · Amanda HaaseAn amazing place to spend the day. The road is a bit bumpy going up, but my Honda Civic managed just fine. $3 for day use.The trail around the lake is well-maintained and pleasant, and the water was perfect for swimming. If you're headed up on a weekend, get there earlier in the day to nab a picnic spot!
