Kalamazoo Resort Introduce
If you're searching for "camping near me" in the Kalamazoo, Michigan area, Kalamazoo Resort, located at 8368 W C Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49009, USA, offers a camping experience with a mix of accommodation options and a location that balances peaceful countryside with convenient access to the city. You can reach them at (989) 671-1125 or +1 989-671-1125 for inquiries and bookings.
Based on recent customer feedback, Kalamazoo Resort presents a multifaceted experience. One guest who stayed in an A-frame cabin described it as "super cute & cozy" and "very spacious." They also commended the helpfulness of a staff member named Alex, highlighting his welcoming demeanor and informative approach regarding membership options. This positive review suggests that the resort offers appealing and comfortable cabin accommodations for those seeking a unique lodging experience beyond traditional tent camping or RV sites.
The location of Kalamazoo Resort is noted as being "nice" and convenient, situated in the countryside yet "not too far away from Kalamazoo." This provides a balance for campers who appreciate a peaceful and potentially secluded environment while still having relatively easy access to the amenities and attractions of the city. This accessibility can be a significant advantage for local users looking for a quick weekend getaway or a longer stay without venturing too far from home.
However, it's important to consider all aspects of the customer feedback. Another review mentions an experience related to a promotional offer of 21 free nights of camping associated with a travel trailer purchase. This review indicates that redeeming this offer requires attending a sales presentation and tour, with a subsequent "sales pitch pushed a little harder at the end."
Furthermore, this review details specific conditions attached to the "free" camping nights. The 21 nights are reportedly divided into three stays of seven nights each. Even if a guest stays for fewer than seven nights within a stay, it still counts as a full seven-night stay. Additionally, there is a 60-day waiting period between stays, and the offer cannot be used until 30 days after the sales pitch. The review also mentions a membership being promoted at a cost of nearly $20,000, along with annual maintenance fees of approximately $900.
Considering this information, local users searching for "camping near me" at Kalamazoo Resort should be aware that while standard camping and cabin rentals may be available, there appears to be a strong emphasis on promoting resort memberships. If you are primarily interested in short-term camping or cabin stays without engaging in sales presentations, it would be prudent to clarify the terms and conditions for such bookings when contacting the resort.
The environment of Kalamazoo Resort seems to be geared towards providing a peaceful retreat in a countryside setting. The mention of its location being "off in the countryside" suggests a quieter atmosphere compared to campgrounds directly within the city. This could be a significant draw for local campers seeking an escape from urban noise and a more natural ambiance.
Based on the available information, specific services and features of Kalamazoo Resort beyond accommodation are not extensively detailed in the provided reviews. The mention of a "great location" implies potential access to local attractions or outdoor activities in the surrounding area. The fact that memberships are promoted suggests the possibility of resort-style amenities that might be available to members or possibly to short-term guests as well, although this is not explicitly stated.
For local users considering Kalamazoo Resort for "camping near me," it is recommended to inquire directly about the types of campsites available (e.g., RV sites with hookups, tent sites), the amenities offered (e.g., restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, recreational areas), and the specific terms and conditions for booking, especially if you are not interested in a membership. Understanding the full range of services and any associated costs will help in making an informed decision.
In terms of promotional information, the A-frame cabins are highlighted as "cute & cozy" and "very spacious," which could be appealing to those looking for a unique and comfortable cabin rental experience. The location, being close to Kalamazoo yet situated in a peaceful countryside setting, is another potential draw for local residents seeking a convenient escape.
However, the experience with the "free camping" voucher indicates that promotional offers may come with specific requirements, such as attending sales presentations. If you encounter such offers, it is crucial to carefully review all the terms and conditions to ensure they align with your interests and needs.
To summarize for local users searching for "camping near me," Kalamazoo Resort offers cabin rentals and appears to accommodate travel trailers. Its location provides a blend of countryside tranquility and proximity to the city of Kalamazoo. While some guests have had positive experiences with the accommodations and staff, it's important to be aware of the resort's membership promotion and the conditions associated with any promotional camping offers. Direct communication with the resort at the provided phone numbers is recommended to obtain detailed information about availability, services, and booking options for your specific needs.

Kalamazoo Resort Reviews
We stayed in the A-frame cabin. Super cute & cozy. Very spacious. Alex was our representative and for only being on the job for a few weeks he did a great job. We felt very comfortable with him and would highly recommend working with him. He's not pushy and makes you feel welcomed. He provided great information relating to membership. The campground is nice with a great location. Not too far away from Kalamazoo, it's off in the countryside. Very peaceful. Overall, we had a good experience.
Mar 01, 2025 · Arica FuhrmanAlex was very helpful and informative about the resorts products and services, however, it was not a service we were interested in.We purchased a previously owned travel trailer and the dealer gave us a voucher for 21 nights free camping to be redeemed by this company.Well, you have to sit thru the sales pitch, take the tour and get the sales pitch pushed a little harder at the end.And in the end, the 21 free nights of camping is a trick, it's broken up into 3 stays of 7 nights, and even if you only stay 2 or 3 nights it counts as a STAY of 7 nights. And you can only stay again after 60 days, oh and did I mention you can't use it until 30 days after the sales pitch, which they want to charge almost $20,000 for MEMBERSHIP, plus the yearly maintenance fees of about $900.
Apr 15, 2025 · Timothy HanlonAaron was absolutely fantastic! He explained things very well and was super helpful and gave us plenty of options! We absolutely enjoyed our tour and loved the campground!
Mar 08, 2025 · Allison GannMy experience was definitely five star. They are very friendly knowledgeable people and I would recommend anybody to come and see these people. They have a fabulous deal going on.
Apr 03, 2025 · Chad GreenWife got called saying we won 7 free nights, then because we purchased our camper at a dealer, we get 21 free nights. However, didn't realize this was like a time share using our own camper. Scheduled the tour and after seeing other peoples reviews, we are not driving 2 hours for a time share tour or "membership" to get us to buy something to get these "free" nights. No thanks.
