Unlike traditional campgrounds of the past, Tri-Ponds offers a range of modern amenities and activities designed to keep campers of all ages entertained. If you're looking for a family-friendly destination with plenty to do, from recreational sports to animal encounters and even on-site dining, Tri-Ponds Family Camp Resort is worth exploring.
The environment at Tri-Ponds Family Camp Resort is described as "beautiful," suggesting well-maintained grounds that contribute to a pleasant camping experience. While the name implies the presence of three ponds, the reviews don't explicitly detail the opportunities they offer, such as fishing or scenic views. However, the overall impression is of a well-kept and attractive setting that enhances the enjoyment of staying at the resort. Allegan, located in Allegan County, is known for its natural beauty, including rivers, lakes, and forests, making it a desirable region for outdoor recreation.
Tri-Ponds Family Camp Resort distinguishes itself through its array of services and features specifically catering to families. A significant highlight is the variety of engaging activities available for children for a small additional fee. These include a bouncy pad, providing hours of jumping fun, and a putt-putt golf course for friendly competition. The resort also offers canoe rentals, allowing families to explore any on-site ponds or nearby waterways, adding an adventurous element to the camping trip. For animal lovers, there's a petting zoo where kids can interact with and feed a few goats, offering a unique and memorable experience.
Beyond the recreational activities, Tri-Ponds boasts a "delicious cafe" on-site. This is a significant convenience for campers, offering a wide menu that includes hot foods such as pizza, chicken wings, and French fries, as well as a tempting selection of ice cream and cold desserts and snacks. While one reviewer noted that the cafe is "not cheap," they also emphasized that the food is "delicious," suggesting a good quality dining option is available without having to leave the resort. This is a valuable service for families who may want a break from cooking or a treat during their stay.
The campground also accommodates RV campers, as highlighted by a reviewer who stayed in their father's RV for a weekend and found the experience "very nice." This indicates that Tri-Ponds offers the necessary hookups and space for RVs. However, one important point of feedback was the lack of a wheelchair-accessible bathroom stall with grab bars in the public restrooms. This is a crucial consideration for campers with mobility challenges and suggests an area where the resort could improve accessibility.
While specific promotional information is not included in the provided reviews, the description of the resort as a "great camp resort" and the enthusiastic accounts of the activities and amenities serve as strong endorsements. Tri-Ponds Family Camp Resort Reviews
This is a great camp resort! It's not your 1980s campground! If you have kids, this is a great place to come! For a small fee the kids can jump on the bouncy pad all weekend, or do a game of putt-putt golf, rent a canoe, and more. They also have a few goats to pet and feed! They also have a delicious cafe where one can order many different ice cream and cold desserts and snacks on top of a delicious menu with rather large varieties of hot foods such as pizza, chicken wings, French fries, etc! (Not cheap, but delicious!)
Nov 22, 2024 · Erin Wiseman-ParkinWe came here and camped in my dad's RV for the weekend. It was very nice, the grounds are beautiful. Only problem was I wish they had a wheelchair accessible bathroom. Our toliet broke and when we all tried to go into the public bathroom I had a hard time using it due to no wheelchair stall and no grab bars to help me onto the toilet. Other than that beautiful and lots of fun activites to enjoy as well.
Oct 21, 2024 · Tiffany KonrathWe were on Site 51 which is near the small pond. It was clean and well kept, all sites had been mowed recently. It was a joy to be able to see and hear the kids riding bikes ,swimming, roller blading, and having fun. Parents and kids were enjoying their time together and kids were not sitting and playing on electronics. We will go back.
Jul 29, 2024 · Debra HackneyFirst, i loved our site. We were back in the woods by the RC track. It was busy with kids, but i loved it. The pool was clean. The bathrooms were ok and served their purpose. The staff was always very pleasant and the couple of times we ordered food, it was good (but they forget to put in the sauces so check that before you leave the counter). The rest of the experience was a bit disappointing for the amount of money we paid. The roads are as big as glorified sidewalks and they are a free for all with no directions. They should be one way. Im sure the seasonals love all of the cars, campers, bikes and people that have to drive, ride or walk on their sites. The Wifi didnt work. The water pressure was a trickle. The wood was EXPENSIVE. $15 for 20 pieces and half of those pieces were kindling. The showers were gross. My husband didnt have hot water in his and we showered in the afternoon so that shouldnt have been an issue. Overall, it didnt suck, but we probably wouldt chose to come back.
Aug 11, 2024 · Emily DaigneaultWe love camping here! It's a yearly tradition for my 11, 8 and 6yr old now. They are so kid friendly here! There is a jump pillow (It does cost money to buy a wristband to jump.) a really nice big play structure, small splash pad, pool, ponds for swimming and fishing, gaga ball, pay to play mini golf **Take note, you do need two swimsuits or to clean the 1 really good with soap & water if you swim in the pond and the pool** Every day they offer activities like a chalk contest or wagon ride or fishing contest. They also have a store with affordable candy like 5¢ to $2.00. They also have ice cream and food you can order. You can get a regular campsite with water and electric hookups or even a full hookup site. There are cabins and cottages to rent too. While there are only 5 showers, I have never had to wait in line. There is a bathhouse by the pool and two in the store area. I noticed a handicap accessible bathroom/shower as well. Also just this year I discovered there are two coin operated washing machines and dryers in the back of the bathhouse.
