You can reach them at (616) 896-8315 or their mobile number, +1 616-896-8315, for inquiries and bookings. This campground appears to cater to families with numerous amenities and large sites, although one review presents a contrasting perspective on the overall environment. If your search in the "camping near me" category prioritizes activities for children and ample space, Sandy Pines warrants a closer look.
The Environment and Layout of Sandy Pines
Sandy Pines in Hopkins, Michigan, seems to offer a sprawling environment with "so much to see and do," suggesting a large campground with diverse areas to explore. One positive review highlighted that the "campsites were large" with enough room for two large tents and a screen house, indicating spaciousness and flexibility for different camping setups. The availability of golf cart rentals further implies a sizable area to navigate. The mention of lifeguards during kids' swim suggests the presence of a swimming facility, likely a pool or a designated swimming area within a larger body of water. However, a contrasting review described the location as "nasty," citing "trailers and trash" visible throughout. This stark difference in perception suggests that the experience might vary depending on the location within the campground or the time of year. For those seeking "camping near me," it's essential to consider these differing views on the environment of Sandy Pines.
Services and Amenities Offered
Based on the customer reviews, Sandy Pines Administration, Camping & Sales offers several services and amenities. The staff is described as "welcoming and helpful," which contributes positively to the guest experience. The presence of lifeguards indicates supervised swimming activities, particularly for children during "kids swim." The availability of golf cart rentals is a significant amenity, allowing guests to easily move around the extensive property and access the various activities. While the positive review mentions "so much to see and do," the specific types of activities beyond swimming aren't detailed, but they were engaging enough for both children and adults. The negative review does not comment on services but focuses on the overall cleanliness and appearance. For those looking for "camping near me" with staff support and amenities like golf cart rentals and supervised swimming, Sandy Pines offers these features. However, the conflicting report on the campground's cleanliness should also be taken into account.
Key Features Highlighted by Campers
One of the key features of Sandy Pines, according to a positive review, is the size of the campsites, which can accommodate larger groups or those with more equipment. The abundance of activities that appeal to both children and adults is another significant draw. The availability of golf carts for getting around suggests a large and feature-rich campground where transportation can enhance the experience. The supervised kids' swim indicates a focus on family-friendly and safe activities. In contrast, the negative review highlights the presence of "trailers and trash" as a dominant visual aspect, which would be a significant negative feature for many seeking a pleasant camping environment. This starkly different perspective suggests that the overall experience at Sandy Pines might be inconsistent or that different areas of the campground might vary significantly in their upkeep and appearance. When considering "camping near me," potential visitors to Sandy Pines should be aware of these contrasting reports on its key features.
Weighing the Positive and Negative Aspects of Sandy Pines
For local users searching for "camping near me," Sandy Pines Administration, Camping & Sales presents a complex picture. The positive review paints a picture of a family-friendly resort with spacious sites, engaging activities, and helpful staff, where amenities like golf cart rentals enhance the experience. The negative review, however, describes a "nasty" environment with visible "trailers and trash." These contrasting opinions suggest that the quality of experience at Sandy Pines might vary significantly. Potential visitors should consider what aspects of camping are most important to them. If a wide range of activities and large sites are priorities, Sandy Pines might be appealing. However, the concerns raised about the cleanliness and overall appearance should also be taken seriously when making a decision about "camping near me."

Sandy Pines Administration, Camping & Sales Reviews
We stayed here this past weekend with a five and 10-year-old. Such an incredible experience. The campsite’s Were Large with plenty enough room to accommodate two large Tents and a screen house. So much to see and do. And the adults had just as much fun as the children! The staff were so welcoming and helpful and the girls had such a great time with the lifeguards during the kids swim.We were so happy to have a golf cart to get around in because there is so much to see and do. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend this for your next family vacation
Aug 27, 2024 · tammy longstreetWe are not owners and we went at an awful time of year. That said, I would never buy or even visit that place again. It's nasty. There's no other way to describe it. Trailers and trash (their treasures?) is all we could see everywhere we looked. I cannot imagine what it looks like in the middle of summer or on a holiday weekend.
Mar 29, 2024 · Dave FGreat Place for familys to hangout, but the sandy pines breakfast cafe was ridiculous over priced you only get one pancake and you have to pay for all the toppings and they refused to give you free water to drink you had to pay for a bottle of water and if you wanted another pancake you have to pay $8.00 a pancake plus you dont get any sides with it unless you pay extra for everything. I will not be eating there again the lunch and dinner prices are the same.I was not pleased with them at all.The steak dinner was good but again it was $20.00 for the steak , salad , potato but again if you wanted drinks you had to pay for all your drinks seperately.CMC Photography Review
Jul 16, 2024 · Caitlin McCulllickWe love it here. My in-laws have a place in Sandy Pines and we visit almost yearly. Inexpensive ice cream cones (soft serve) are a family treat.Slow pace of life. There is a water park with a pool, water slide, and water toys. An adult only pool as well. Mini-golf.Independence day fireworks are fantastic. We missed them this year, but years prior we watched and they are great, I envision the battles taking place to defend our freedom as the booms and flashes consume my eyes and ears.
