Willow Bay Campground Reviews
Willow Bay is amazing! We loved it and will be a regular spot for us. A few things to note - the tent sites in Deer Grove are walk to but there is a unloading/loading spot which was very convenient. The campsites were pretty close together. We reserved two and I was able to walk between the two fairly quickly. The sites can comfortably fit 2 tents, maybe 3 if they are smaller but some of the ground was uneven. Wood and ice are available at the front. It is so beautiful there and the people working were very nice. Can't wait for our next trip!
Jun 10, 2024 · Mel LyonsBeautiful campground - very clean and quiet. Helpful, friendly volunteers. The host, Bill is wonderful, he gave us lots of great information and recommendations. He also keeps the campground, restroom, and showers spotless. We had a nice, level site #29 close to the river (love waking to the sound of the water and birds singing each morning) with electric hookups. Plenty of room between sites. No cell service. We enjoyed hiking, biking and bird watching- osprey and bald eagle call this area home. The town of Bradford is only 17 miles if you need supplies, cell service or want to eat out. Overall a great stay!
May 06, 2023 · J ListAlways stay in a cabin, at least a couple of times a year. The cabins have always been clean and dry. The bathrooms are exceptional even on the busiest weekends, nice place to drop nuggets and get a shower. The boat launch and it's parking area couldn't be better. All site staff have been very friendly and helpful. The lake and surroundings are beautiful. I look forward to making reservations every year.Adding photos from last trip to Willow Bay for the year.
Oct 14, 2020 · Anthony PBooked and paid for a cabin online for my son’s birthday fishing trip . Received multiple emails with a confirmation number. But when I got there my reserved cabin was full of 8 drunkards having a party. There was no staff around or emergency number to resolve the issue. Had to pack my crying kids up and drive 1.5 hours back home. Called recreation.gov and was told I would get less than half my money back as they would consider it a cancellation or I could take it up with the facility. Have called the facility numbers multiple times and left multiple messages. No response yet…
Apr 05, 2025 · Adriena LamontI absolutely love this place! I caught a couple walleye In the creek but can't seem to catch any in the lake! We also caught a couple of carp with our hands at night🤣. We climbed the mountain to almost the top and marked our territory if you know what I mean🤣. The service is great and we caught all sorts of wildlife and the cabins were clean. We tried to build a cabin but we couldn't. I would recommend this beautiful place!
