San Diego Metro KOA Resort Reviews
We are 69’ with our motorhome towing an enclosed trailer and we stuck out just a touch on one of their longest pull throughs but it worked out fine. Our site was nice. Not real busy most of the week which was a plus. Enjoyed the hot tub multiple nights. Love that they have 2. Dog area was large and nice. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Wish the cafe had better hours in the off season but not much complaint other than that.
Mar 13, 2025 · Amy ByersWe have been coming here for years now and this place has become a foundational part of my family’s life. We have made so many core memories from learning to swim to learning to ride bike and scooter, birthday parties, Halloween celebrations and Easter gatherings. The staff here are just phenomenal! They always have a positive attitude and find ways to connect with my kids and make them feel special. I have to give a special shout out to their Events Director Bobbi - Bobbi always makes it a point to come over and chat with our family no matter how busy she is. She has helped me through many tantrums with my toddler with her special touch. You can tell she just gets it and she has added so many events that really get my boys excited about their visit to the KOA. After visiting so many different KOA’s across the nation, we can happily say that this one has our heart and this one is home 🏠.
Mar 26, 2025 · Juliana KapovichThis is a big KOA, nice grounds, some children's activities, heated pool and hot tub. Those are the positive qualities. The park itself is laid out poorly, tight roads, and short sites. You can fit a large rig in the sites, but you will have to spend some time moving it around to get into the sites. We were here from December 15 to January 15 to enjoy the Bay Area during the holidays. The Bay Area was great, this park was a nightmare. We have never been in a park with such inconsiderate campers before. It was utter chaos. The park says they have quiet hours, etc, yet enforcement is pretty lax. Ironic too that during the LA wild fires and fire watch in this area that the park continued to sell firewood and allow campfires. With a monthly site rental you have to pay for power at this park. They are not very clear on the power charges when you check in, but you will become very familiar when you check out. Their current rates for electric are .40 per kilowatt hour for first 25, then it jumps up to .50 for everything there after. Now of course that's not the going rate for electricity in the Bay Area, this is just the KOA price gouging the monthly renter. Absolutely appalling to us as full time travelers. Our kids rented a deluxe cabin that slept 6 for a long weekend while we were here. The cabin did not have enough bedding for the beds and when we asked for more bedding they were told there was none available. Why have cabins for 6 and not provide adequate bedding is beyond me. Not only that, the kitchen was stocked with 4 place settings, etc for 6 occupants. Really a poorly managed park. The options in the Bay Area are very limited, we picked this park based on reviews and certainly wish we would have explored other options. Needless to say we will never return to this park.
Jan 16, 2025 · bigfoot756Amazing, family-friendly experience. My collective family reserved 6 cabins in a row, and it was an amazing weekend. So many things to do for the 5 cousins under 5, great staff, clean facilities, convenient location- 5 stars all around!
Apr 14, 2025 · Amy ColluraThe activities for kids are great. If you can definitely get a pull through rv spot. When we showed up after dark our back in spot was almost impossible to get into because of the narrow roadway and the massive parties going on which had extra vehicles everywhere and picnic tables in the way. This is very much a party place so not for people who want privacy and quiet.
