Oak Plantation Camp Ground Reviews
Amazing campground, friendly. We stayed in a monthly site. We were sad to leave. Close to downtown and stores. Management is great, good communication. Nice playground and pool. Always see someone out enjoying the walk trials or riding a bike. Good community. Good prices. Clean sites. Nice laundry area and bath houses.
Apr 29, 2025 · Chelsea Sue HolmesMy husband and I have been staying here for almost 2 years now, while he finishes his duty for the military at the base here in Charleston. There's a pool, 2 bath houses that are always kept clean, a large dog run that's perfect for our 3 dogs, a laundry mat on site, a playground for any children staying here, and a pond for fishing. We have never had any issues with the staff or other campers and feel it's very reasonably priced for what you get. When you check in the staff give you a map of the grounds and explain all the rules before you sign for your stay. WiFi and cable are also included in all sites. They have pull through and back sites as well as 30 and 50 amp sites, a dump station for the water and electric only sites. Overall we've had nothing but a wonderful experience in the last 2 years. The staff have been nothing short of polite and helpful. Traffic can be a concern, not that the campground can control that, but included in our check in packet were turn by turn directions to all major highways via right turn since turning left during during Charleston's rush hour traffic is difficult. The staff have always been kind when I've had to ask for directions or recommendations and even when getting change for laundry. I will always recommend this place to fellow travelers, friends, and family. Safe travels!
Feb 01, 2025 · AlexisNice campground with some old trees covered in Spanish Moss. Can handle up to 45' RVs with full hookups. Sites are crushed gravel and level. The campground was clean and well kept, and there are two bathhouse. There is also a one acre fenced dog park. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would stay here again.
Mar 12, 2025 · Mike DeisherThis is a very nice, clean and well kept campground. The traffic is a bit rough, don't plan to make a left turn coming out of the campground. But, to be fair, traffic is wild all over the area. We were there in February and the bathrooms were nice, warm and super clean. The sites are much bigger than most campgrounds, and we had some room to spread out. There is a beautiful pavilion with picnic tables and a grill that we used while we were there. I had to work while I was there and I had no problems using multiple programs on their provided Wi-Fi.
Mar 25, 2025 · Lisa ChapmanWe stayed at Oak Plantation campground for the first time in years. The campground is lovely and the sites are spacious. However, the traffic is insane and you cannot go left onto 17 from the campground at any time or any day. It’s horrible! We probably won’t be back until Charleston fixes the problem.
