Mount Pleasant / Charleston KOA Holiday Reviews
My family and I really loved this KOA. We got an amazing campsite right at the start of the hiking trail. I could not be happier, because I love to hike with my dog. We were also really close to the canal and we got to see so much wildlife. The canal had ducks, geese, turtles, bass, blue gill, and my husband even seen an otter! Wow! At dusk I spotted some deer on the trail and my son seen an owl. We even seen a small alligator in the lake. So cool! This campground had so many fun things to do with kids. My eight year old son loved it! I really appreciate your breed restriction policy so much. In my experience, pitbull owners are the worst. They have the most dangerous dog breed, and they let them run lose and terrorize other people and pets. My dog and I have been charged at by pitbulls many times due to owner negligence. It scares me so much. It was so nice to walk my dog at this KOA and not have to be looking around to see if there was a loose pitbull. Thank you so much for that! We would love to stay here again.
Apr 22, 2025 · Shari McDonoughWe had a great stay here at the KOA, probably better than any other in 8 years of full-time travel! As we were leaving, we neglected to pull in our awning and a tree took it off. Ouch! In a matter of seconds there was a small army working to get us underway. I will be ever thankful for all their help. We will definitely be back to enjoy all the amenities offered!
Apr 21, 2025 · Tom PiperInitially our stay was fantastic! All employees were polite and extremely helpful!!! Then we got moved (we're waiting on our home to be done with construction) and just a couple weeks before (we've been there since February at this point- kids have bonded and all) Wilson calls and says he's not kicking us out but our dogs must go somewhere else. Ummm we're supposed to abandon our dogs? We never complained about picking up random trash, babies crying in TENTS all night long, other dogs barking that was setting off our dogs bark sensors, or off leash dogs... Ya know because you're adventuring and learning things and meeting new people. But today. Before the office even opened I was called and blamed for my dog's disturbing the neighbors (same people that pet my dog's and also upon realizing we had FOUR sweet babies) apparently complained about only their "barking". Did I call at 1:30 am when the coyotes were going crazy? Nope. But yeah my families pets got us homeless. Wilson is a horrible GM.Edit: WOW. I got 2 calls and 3rd was to get them out. I immediately got a bark sensor on the first call. We tinted the windows, black out tint at that, and were giving calming chews everyday we were at work. Our dogs were even accused of barking when we were home on this past weekend, when it was a dog that was tied up outside. If you don't want dogs that do what dogs do, then change your policy. Oh wait then you wouldn't have ANY customers as 90% of people that were there had at least one and they all bark. How about do something about all the goose 💩 everywhere??? How about not be so rude to people that have paid thousands a month to be treated with such disrespect!!! I'm glad anyone and everyone can see this as well!!! I only gave 3 stars because of the amazing employees that have to deal with such an unhappy person constantly.
Apr 08, 2025 · Heather ElderingOur second time staying at this campground. The first visit was very good but, with recent updates, this visit was extra extraordinary. Super clean with paved level site and well manicured grass areas. Lots of many cabins which appeared to be well maintained. Tons of outdoor activities, but perhaps our favorite part was the walking trail. Highly recommend.
Apr 05, 2025 · FE KennedyGreat location and very clean! 100% Family friendly! So much to do without even leaving the campground. They have bathrooms, showers, splash pad, pool, walking trails, breakfast on Saturdays, paddle boats, bikes, etc… definitely will be back!
