Given that Kindred Kitten Rescue & Sanctuary's primary function is animal rescue, the services and features would likely be tailored to the needs of the cats in their care. However, if camping is offered as a means of support or engagement, potential services and features for campers might include:
- Designated Camping Areas: There might be specific areas on the property set aside for tents or potentially RVs. The nature of these sites (e.g., primitive, with hookups) would need to be confirmed.
- Interaction with Cats (Supervised): A unique aspect could be the opportunity for campers to interact with the rescued cats in a supervised and appropriate manner, offering a heartwarming experience for animal lovers.
- Use of Basic Facilities: Depending on whether camping is a regular offering, there might be access to basic facilities such as restrooms and water sources. Showers and more developed amenities are less certain and would require inquiry.
- Educational Opportunities: Campers might have the chance to learn about animal rescue operations, the care of feral and friendly cats, and the importance of sanctuaries.
- Pet-Friendly Considerations (for Campers' Pets): If campers are allowed to bring their own pets, there would likely be specific guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of the resident cats and the visiting animals.
It is crucial to understand that camping might be a secondary or occasional offering at Kindred Kitten Rescue & Sanctuary, primarily intended to support their rescue efforts or provide a unique experience for animal enthusiasts. Kindred Kitten Rescue & Sanctuary Reviews
I contacted Kristina about a momma and kittens my son found at his job at a truck mechanic shop in Jacksonville (see photo). She immediately said, yes, she'd be happy to help. I was headed to Jacksonville to visit my son so I swung by her place from the airport. As soon as I got out of my car, 4 cats casually walked up to me, healthy, happy and confident. Kristina showed me around her property. The whole place was clean and well-maintained. More cats came around to say hello, obviously very well cared for. Despite only knowing me for a few days, Kristina lent me a trap and gave me food to catch the momma cat. The situation with the momma and kittens was resolved happily. Kristina is a kind, trusting and generous person. I've had experience with animal rescues and Kristina runs a top notch operation!!
May 01, 2025 · Jennifer CartelliKristina and her husband have created what I can only describe as the gold standard for a cat sanctuary. Their beautiful property is more like a 5-Star kitty retreat!I have recently spent time getting to know Kristina and there is no doubt in my mind, she and Marvin pour their hearts into caring for every cat that crosses their path, whether feral or friendly. Their dedication is inspiring, and their sanctuary is a true haven. If I were a cat, that is exactly where I would want to be!
Apr 23, 2025 · Kimberli LandryKristina and Marvin do amazing work helping kitties from all over not just local. All the kitties here are loved and cared for extremely well. Also all the bad review are from people bullying Kristina so she will quit asking questions about a tragedy. Where questionable people collected a lot of money for cats .
Apr 25, 2025 · Amie PlummerWhen it comes to rescue, personal ego has no place. The animals are the only priorirty; ensuring standards are upheld and all are well cared for and loved. It’s incredibly shameful to see a bitter shrew slinging dirt on another organization who is navigating a tragedy in beautiful ways.Focus on your own organization and it’s lacking merit.
Apr 29, 2025 · Shaela RowanI never take the time to leave reviews, but as an animal lover, I had to leave this one. I do not understand how this place is allowed to be called a rescue. So many of the cats look unhealthy and in pain. The smell is horrific. I brought my concerns up to Kristina and she lost her mind on me. I pray this gets investigated and someone saves those cats.
