The Environment: A Beautiful Lake Setting Rich in Wildlife:
One visitor described Lake Arbuckle Park and Campground as a "Hidden Gem! Beautiful, quiet park," initially planning a short tent camping trip but extending their stay due to the enjoyable experience. This suggests a visually appealing environment that encourages relaxation. The highlight for many seems to be the abundant wildlife. The reviewer mentioned seeing "big and little alligators, multiple racoons, armadillos, a river otter, lizards," indicating a rich biodiversity that nature enthusiasts will appreciate. The opportunity for "great time fishing" further points to the natural allure of Lake Arbuckle and its surrounding ecosystem.
However, another reviewer offered a slightly different perspective on the quietness, stating, "It’s not particularly quiet." This suggests that while beautiful, the park might experience some level of ambient noise. Despite this, they still reported a "great stay," indicating that the other positive aspects outweigh this for many visitors. The presence of a lake naturally contributes to the environment, offering potential for breezes, water views, and various aquatic activities.

In terms of amenities, it was mentioned that "Most spots have a fire ring and picnic table," which are standard and appreciated features for any camping setup, providing convenience for cooking and enjoying meals outdoors. Importantly, the park also offers options for RVers, as the reviewer stated, "There are also spots available with power and water." This indicates that those traveling with RVs can find sites equipped with essential hookups for a more comfortable stay.
A significant amenity mentioned is the presence of "a public boat ramp in the campground." This is a major draw for those who enjoy boating and fishing on Lake Arbuckle, providing easy access to the water directly from the campground.
One consistent observation across the reviews is the presence of "a billion mosquitoes." This is a common aspect of the Florida outdoors, especially near water, so campers should come prepared with appropriate insect repellent.

Feb 16, 2023 · Asa DGreat little Campground. Plenty of Campsites available. I found a nice secluded spot. Some spots right across bathrooms. Bright lights! Campground well maintained and clean bathrooms with hot shower. Quiet. I felt safe. Loads of wildlife. Sandhill Cranes, hawks and owls.
Apr 11, 2022 · Susan SealeI haven't camped at this place yet, I stopped by on my way home to check it out. Let me tell you, this place is gorgeous. It is secluded, in the middle of the woods, has a lake. Views are amazing. Sites with water and electricity and central dump station. Lost of wild life. Fishing and boating are allowed. Has a bathhouse, nice and clean. Not reservations, first come first serve.I will be camping here soon for sure!.
Jan 12, 2022 · Ayleen OrielBeautiful spot! Lots of hiking, biking, kayaking, Bass fishing, bird watching and relaxing to be had at this campground. Wild turkeys frequented the sites and the place is extremely well kept. We look forward to camping there again soon
