Based on customer reviews, Lake Moc-A-Tek Campground fosters a "pleasant experience" where campers might feel like they have "camping with a concierge service." This suggests a level of attentiveness and helpfulness from the staff, with reviewers noting that the "staff is friendly and you always have someone to help at the office." This readily available assistance contributes to a sense of security and ease, particularly for families or those new to camping. The fact that it is a private farm-based campground may indeed contribute to this feeling of enhanced security and a more controlled environment.
One of the standout features of Lake Moc-A-Tek Campground is its family-friendly atmosphere. A reviewer explicitly states, "This is a very family friendly camp ground. They have maintained it clean and nice." This emphasis on cleanliness and a welcoming environment makes it an attractive option for families with children looking for a safe and enjoyable outdoor getaway. The added bonus of a lake view from the cabins enhances the appeal, allowing guests to fully appreciate the scenic surroundings.
A significant recreational offering at the campground is the opportunity for boating and fishing on Lake Moc-A-Tek. For a reasonable fee of "$12," guests can "rent a boat for $12 and fish all day long." This affordable boat rental provides access to the lake, which is reported to have "some great fish to catch," making it a prime location for angling enthusiasts of all ages. The combination of boat rentals and a well-stocked lake positions Lake Moc-A-Tek Campground as an excellent choice for those who enjoy spending time on the water.
While the overall sentiment from reviews is positive, one camper provided constructive feedback aimed at helping the owners improve the campground. These points, while "minor" for most campers according to the reviewer, are worth noting for a comprehensive understanding. The reviewer mentioned experiencing "some maintenance and construction activities on weekend," which they were told was a one-time occurrence but suggested the need for more consideration regarding such activities during guest stays. This highlights the importance of clear communication regarding any planned disruptions.
The same reviewer also pointed out some specific areas needing attention, such as "some rental boat ore locks are broken," although they noted that "there are plenty that are not, just need to be fixed." This suggests that while boats are available, potential renters should check the equipment. Additionally, a "rotten" picnic table was identified as needing replacement, and a few "dead trees to be removed" were noted as potential hazards. These maintenance suggestions indicate areas where the campground could further enhance the guest experience and safety.
Finally, the reviewer mentioned the lack of a "bench or shelves in bathroom," which is a minor inconvenience that could be easily addressed to improve the comfort of the facilities. Despite these suggestions, the reviewer concluded by stating, "I like this place and will return," emphasizing that their feedback was intended to help the owners maintain and improve the campground for future enjoyment.
In summary, Lake Moc-A-Tek Campground offers a family-friendly and clean camping environment centered around a picturesque lake in Lake Ariel, PA. Lake Moc-A-Tek Campground Reviews
Overall pleasant experience, you have a feeling of camping with a concierge service, staff is friendly and you always have someone to help at the office, since this is not a state park you may have a feeling of more freedom and security. There are few minor things i pointed out below most of campers wont see as a problem. You are on a private farm. We experienced some maintenance and construction activities on weekend, i was told this was a one time deal. Need to be more considerate. Some rental boat ore locks are broken but there are plenty that are not, just need to be fixed. One pick nick table is rotten and needs to be replaced. A few dead trees to be removed as they pose hazard and a liability if fall. No bench or shelves in bathroom.I like this place and will return, my review is simply to help owners to preserve and improve for us enjoy summer after summer.
Aug 11, 2015 · Vlad zzThis is a very family friendly camp ground. They have maintained it clean and nice. We rented a cabin and it was clean and comfortable with lake view. You can rent a boat for $12 and fish all day long. The lake has some great fish to catch. Overall a great experience and will return again!
May 29, 2017 · David AIncredible hospitality from the first minute to the last! Amazing experiences for all to do in the campground. Great to see so much pride and involvement of the owners and their visions!
Jul 09, 2023 · William GardnerI have been going there for the past 5 years and friends of ours had a camper there as well. Management has changed and the place is being run into the ground. The owners are no longer present and they only have one person working there. The restrooms are falling apart. The grass was knee high. The kids pool had dirty yellow water and garbage in it.While I was there camping many RPV owners complained about various conditions. You can tell h place is no longer managed at all and more and more RV sites are left vacant where there were no RV sites available in the past. Sad but it is the reality of what’s left of this place.
Jul 24, 2019 · Dan GeorgescuAwesome place to stay. However needs improvement. When the channels that actually work are on the tv. There is a humming/buzzing sound that makes it impossible to even watch it. Also the WiFi is shaky at best. You have to constantly log in (when it lets you). Its improving but still needs work.
