Little Pond Mountain Campground Introduce
Looking for a "camping near me" experience that takes you off the beaten path in the scenic mountains of Butler, Tennessee? Little Pond Mountain Campground, located at 3266 US-321 Scenic, Butler, TN 37640, USA, offers a quaint and family-friendly atmosphere with a variety of accommodation options. Based on recent customer reviews, this campground presents a unique blend of natural charm and essential amenities, making it a potential destination for local users seeking a mountain escape.
The environment surrounding Little Pond Mountain Campground is described as being in a great location for those who appreciate an off-the-beaten-path style stay. Situated in the mountains of Butler, TN, campers can expect a natural setting with the tranquility that often accompanies a more secluded location. The campground is also reportedly near a lake, adding to the appeal for those who enjoy water-based activities and scenic lake views. While one review mentions the lack of cell service at the campground, this is often expected in more remote mountain areas and can contribute to a feeling of being truly away from it all. The "quaint charm" mentioned suggests a rustic and perhaps less developed feel compared to larger, more commercial campgrounds, which can be appealing to those seeking a more authentic outdoor experience. However, potential visitors should be prepared for the possibility of limited connectivity.
The services at Little Pond Mountain Campground appear to cater to a range of camping preferences. The positive review highlights the presence of a clean shower and bathhouse, a laundry room, and a nice communal area, which are essential for a comfortable camping stay, especially for longer trips. The owner, Jeff, and his family and employees are described as treating everyone like family and being always willing to help with anything, suggesting a personal and hospitable approach to guest service. The mention of 20 full hook-up RV sites indicates that the campground is equipped to handle recreational vehicles with water, electricity, and sewer connections. Additionally, there are a few primitive tent sites available for those who prefer a more traditional camping experience. The availability of a cabin rental and a big bell tent rental offers alternative lodging options for those who may not have their own camping equipment or prefer a more structured accommodation. However, one review pointed out issues with pre-arrival communication, specifically regarding the gate code and the lack of notification about the absence of cell service. It is advisable for potential guests to confirm these details directly with the campground prior to their arrival to ensure a smooth check-in process.
The features of Little Pond Mountain Campground include a variety of amenities aimed at enhancing the camping experience. The presence of hiking trails will appeal to nature lovers and those looking to explore the surrounding mountain terrain. A horseshoe pit and cornhole provide opportunities for outdoor games and socializing within the campground. The communal area likely serves as a gathering space for campers to relax and interact. The availability of both full hook-up RV sites and primitive tent sites ensures that different types of campers can be accommodated. The unique offerings of a cabin rental and a big bell tent rental add to the variety of lodging options, catering to those seeking a more comfortable or novel camping experience. However, one visitor reported significant issues with the upkeep of their RV site, specifically mentioning large amounts of dog poop around the hookups and bent nails in the gravel, which posed a safety hazard. This suggests that while the campground offers a range of features, the quality of maintenance may be inconsistent. Potential guests may want to inquire about the current condition of the campsites and the frequency of upkeep.
Promotional information for Little Pond Mountain Campground is conveyed through the positive aspects highlighted in one of the reviews. The "great prices on the lake" suggest affordability and access to a potentially valuable recreational resource. The emphasis on a "quiet safe family friendly kind of place" positions the campground as an ideal destination for families seeking a peaceful and secure environment for their outdoor getaway. The repeated recommendation and the exclamation marks in the positive review ("I would definitely recommend the stay!!!!!!!") serve as strong endorsements for the campground's overall appeal and the positive experiences of some visitors. The variety of accommodation options – RV sites, tent sites, cabin rental, and big bell tent rental – can also be seen as a promotional feature, catering to a broader range of potential guests. However, it's important for local users to balance this positive feedback with the negative experiences reported in the other review regarding communication, site cleanliness, and safety hazards. Potential promotional points could include:

Little Pond Mountain Campground Reviews
The location was great if you like an off the beaten path style stay. We were attending a wedding and decided to stay in our camper nearby which is how we ended up here. The rates were decent, and the campground had a quaint charm to it, but it was lacking in other areas. Firstly there is no service at the campground. No problems there, we’re in the mountains, I just wish the email confirmation would have stated that along with a gate code to circumvent the initial confusion. When we arrived we realized a gate code was needed to enter. We checked emails and, no code. Decided to swing over to Shirley’s (an adjacent restaurant, now closed) to see if wifi was available in order to call. We got ahold of the owner Jeff who texted over the gate code and wifi info. Now that it was handled we headed over to site #5. We began to set up only to immediately step in dog poop. Enormous amounts of dog poop surrounded the power, water and septic hook ups. While cleaning off our shoes in the outdoor shower I noticed bent nails in the gravel. Backing up one more foot and the RV tire would have definitely been punctured. It was so frustrating to run into these issues as we really enjoyed the area and concept. After setting up camp, Jeff texted that he didn’t see payment. We then had to send confirmation over and he said that he did in fact see it. It’s one of those ‘you get what you pay for’ places. Wish I had better things to say but whoever is responsible for the upkeep truly needs to take better care of the property and management needs to send out codes, etc prior to arrival.

Apr 25, 2024 · Rogervery clean kat the camp host is very nice and goes out of her way to help ! The only thing I don’t like is the traffic that comes in and out after hours I think they should close the gates at ten to prevent the loud cars and trucks from entering after hours
Mar 03, 2022 · Rob GrigsbyOwner operated with some tasty food options in walking distance. Small and quiet park with a clean bathroom. 10/10 would stay here again.
Sep 19, 2022 · AERIAL ASCENSIONSMuddy retirement home:Whole place is a mud pit..slipping and sliding... Fell several times while walking. Had to plug tires 5x due to picking up nails and screws (campground used to be a junkyard). Sites aren't level and greywater tank wouldn't drain. No fun to be had here, Its prohibited. I personally seen the manager stop campers from setting off fireworks on July 4th. Kids on "playground" told to shut up. Wifi hardly EVER worked. Owner sent letters to campers stating it wasn't a trailer park...which means he thinks of campers there as trailer park trash. After leaving, owner attempts criminal trespass on those wishing to come back and visit friends still camped there. You won't like it...no one there does.
