Manti-La Sal KOA Holiday Introduce
For those searching for a convenient and family-friendly "camping near me" destination in the scenic region of Mt. Pleasant, Utah, the Manti-La Sal KOA Holiday stands out as a highly recommended option. Located at 2903 S 1700 E, Mt Pleasant, UT 84647, USA, and reachable by phone at (435) 660-4959 or +1 435-660-4959, this campground has recently undergone significant positive changes under new ownership and management, transforming it into a welcoming and improved retreat for all types of campers.
The environment at Manti-La Sal KOA Holiday is characterized by its peaceful, scenic atmosphere, largely attributed to the presence of "beautiful mature trees." These trees not only provide aesthetic appeal but also offer natural shade, a valuable commodity during warmer months. While some campgrounds can feel sparse, the mature trees here contribute to a more established and inviting feel. Guests have noted the presence of "wild turkeys roaming the grounds," adding a charming touch of nature and wildlife viewing right within the campground boundaries. This blend of natural beauty with well-maintained facilities creates an appealing setting for a relaxing getaway.
Under the new ownership and management, a strong emphasis has been placed on making "many improvements" across the campground. This commitment to enhancement is a significant selling point, demonstrating a dedication to guest satisfaction. The managers are frequently described as "gracious," "incredibly friendly," and "helpful," fostering a welcoming and positive atmosphere for visitors. This level of customer service significantly contributes to the overall enjoyable stay, making guests feel valued and well-cared for.
The services and features available at Manti-La Sal KOA Holiday cater comprehensively to diverse camping preferences. As a KOA Holiday, it typically offers a range of accommodation options, including RV sites, tent sites, and various camping cabins. The RV sites are generally equipped to handle different rig sizes, with amenities like full hookups (electric, water, sewer) commonly available, though specific site details would vary. While some reviewers noted that "sites are very close together," which is a common characteristic of many developed campgrounds, the overall positive experience suggests this is a minor trade-off for the extensive amenities provided.
One of the standout features, particularly for families, is the array of recreational facilities. The campground boasts a "swim pool," providing a refreshing escape during warm days and a popular spot for both children and adults. A "kids playground" offers a dedicated and safe space for younger campers to burn off energy and socialize. For group gatherings, a "Pavilion" is available, making it a "great place for family reunions" or other organized events. These amenities collectively enhance the family-friendly appeal of the campground, aligning perfectly with the "camping near me" search for family vacations.
Beyond recreational facilities, the Manti-La Sal KOA Holiday also offers practical services designed for convenience. There is a "cute store where you can pretty much get anything you forgot," a crucial amenity for campers who might have left essentials behind or need quick access to supplies. This convenience store saves trips to town and enhances the self-sufficiency of the campground. The cleanliness of the facilities is also a highly praised aspect, with bathrooms described as "impressively clean." This attention to hygiene is a vital component of a comfortable camping experience and often a top priority for travelers.
For outdoor adventurers, the location of Manti-La Sal KOA Holiday is strategic. The reviews hint at its appeal for "ATVing," suggesting proximity or easy access to off-highway vehicle trails. This makes it an excellent base camp for riders looking to explore the extensive trail systems in the Manti-La Sal National Forest area. Whether guests are there specifically for ATV adventures or simply to "relax in the cozy cabins," the campground serves as a perfect retreat, offering a blend of relaxation and opportunities for active outdoor pursuits.
Promotional information for Manti-La Sal KOA Holiday emphasizes its revitalized status and its commitment to guest satisfaction. The overwhelming positive sentiment from recent customer reviews, especially concerning the new ownership and management, acts as powerful word-of-mouth promotion. The consistent 5-star mentions, even with minor critiques like site spacing, underscore a high level of overall satisfaction. KOA campgrounds are known for their consistent standards and family-friendly approach, and this location appears to uphold and even elevate that reputation through its current management's efforts.
In summary, Manti-La Sal KOA Holiday in Mt. Pleasant, UT, provides a highly attractive "camping near me" option, particularly for families and those seeking a comfortable and amenity-rich camping experience. The beautiful environment with mature trees and roaming wild turkeys, combined with the gracious and helpful new management, sets a welcoming tone. Its extensive features, including a swimming pool, playground, pavilion, and well-stocked store, ensure entertainment and convenience for all ages. Whether you're an RVer, a tent camper, or prefer the comforts of a cabin, and whether your aim is active ATVing or peaceful relaxation, this revitalized KOA Holiday offers a compelling and highly praised retreat in the heart of Utah's scenic landscape.

Manti-La Sal KOA Holiday Reviews
This KOA has new ownership and management. From previous reviews we were skeptical of this campground but enjoyed it. The managers are gracious and making many improvements. We'd give it all 5 stars but just like most campgrounds, the sites are very close together. Overall, this would be a great place for family reunions as they have a Pavillion, swim pool, kids playground, and a cute store where you can pretty much get anything you forgot.

Mar 28, 2025 · Holden BrownFantastic RV park! The new owners are making great improvements, and it really shows. Mar 14, 2025 · Ben WilsonWe had a great family weekend at the Manti-La Sal KOA in Mount Pleasant. The managers and staff were incredibly friendly, and it’s clear they’ve been working hard to make upgrades and prepare for the camping season. The cabins we stayed in were clean, cozy, and comfortable. Our grandsons especially loved the secluded fire pit behind the cabin, where we roasted s’mores and spotted a few falling stars—such a fun memory! The kids had a blast on the playground, in the clubhouse, and just exploring the far corners of the RV park. One day, we took our side-by-sides and explored a couple of nearby canyons. The weather was perfect. While it’s still a bit early for the full Arapeen Trail, we went as far as the snow would allow before turning around. We’re already planning to return later in the season to ride the full Skyline Drive loop from Mount Pleasant to Ephraim and back.
