Based on reviews from fellow campers, Miners' Camping offers a "nice area" that is "clean and well kept," making it a potentially excellent choice for your next outdoor adventure. For local users seeking a well-maintained campground with convenient amenities, Miners' Camping appears to be a strong contender.
One camper who utilized the "primitive campground" noted the pleasant environment, describing it as a "nice area" that is both "clean and well kept." This suggests that even the more basic camping options at Miners' Camping are maintained to a good standard, which is always a plus for those who prefer a more rustic camping experience. The reviewer did express a wish for the water pump at the primitive campground to be unlocked for easier access, rather than having to walk to the restrooms to fill canteens. This indicates that water is available, though perhaps not as conveniently located within the primitive area as some might prefer.
Another solo traveler shared a positive experience, highlighting several appealing aspects of Miners' Camping. They noted "good lighting," which is important for safety and convenience, especially when navigating the campground at night. The mention of "water access almost in my campground" suggests that at least some campsites are located very close to a water source, which can be a significant convenience for various camping needs.
This same reviewer also mentioned that the "bathhouse" was a "short walk" from their campsite. The availability of a bathhouse is a significant amenity, typically including toilets and showers, providing a more comfortable option than fully primitive camping. However, they did note that the bathhouse felt a bit "creepy," which was the primary reason for not giving a 5-star rating. While this is a subjective comment, it's something to be aware of.
On the positive side, the solo traveler found Miners' Camping to be "cheaper than staying in the park," suggesting it could be an economical alternative to camping within a larger state or national park in the area. They also appreciated being "close to places to eat," indicating that the location offers some convenience in terms of accessing nearby dining options. Furthermore, they confirmed that the "electric at my site worked well" and that they were able to easily plug in an extension cord, suggesting that at least some campsites are equipped with electrical hookups, catering to those who need power for their camping setup.
Overall, the solo traveler "felt safe here and slept well," which are crucial aspects of any overnight stay. Their concluding "Thank you" speaks to a generally positive experience at Miners' Camping.

Miners' Camping Reviews
We used the primitive campground. Nice area. Clean and well kept. Only wish was that they unlock the water pump at the campground so we didn't have to walk to the restrooms to fill up our canteens.
Apr 16, 2025 · Sean MartinSolo traveler, good lighting, water access almost in my campground, bathhouse a short walk, cheaper than staying in the park, close to places to eat, the electric at my site worked well and was able to just plug in an extension cord.Only drawback that kept this from 5stars was the bathhouse being creepy.Overall I felt safe here and slept well. Thank you
Mar 07, 2025 · Sabrina E2 forty year old adults, 1 four year old, and a dog. We stayed 2 nights in the 2 bdrm cabin. It has wifi, TV with things to watch comfy couch and 2 gliders, 2 beds that were adequate. There are some basic kitchen supplies and a grill if you want to save money and cook. Bring your own towels, napkins, ppr towels as those are not provided. Fire ring out back with a nice creek. You can tell people have RV's there full time, they are friendly enough. We will definitely rent it again next time we come down. It's nothing fantastic, but it is cozy and safe.
Mar 15, 2025 · Lynn FrickerStay away, the bathrooms here are terrible, scary terrible. Looks exactly as it's a Hollywood movie set for a scary horror movie.Would not recommend unless you have absolutely nowhere else. Even then the side of the road would probably be safer.Only redeeming feature is its close distance to the state park
Mar 19, 2025 · Balbo ShroomsPerfect location for Diamond Hunters! We rented the Miners Cabin ( 4 adults, 2 dogs) and found it to be very nice! Well appointed with comfy quality furniture, clean comfy beds and a recently updated bathroom. The outside could use a bit of maintainance, but for the purpose of our visit, it was more than adequate! Bring your own towels because they are not provided. There's a small collection of mining tools on the screened in front porch. The fire pit outside was very helpful in relaxing after a long, fruitless day of diamond hunting!
