Monument RV Park Introduce
Monument RV Park, located at 11700 Wade Ln, Valley Springs, CA 95252, USA, is a highly popular and frequently visited destination for RV enthusiasts and campers looking for a refreshing outdoor experience. Situated near the expansive Lake Camanche, this RV park is a consistent favorite on the "Camping Near Me" platform, offering a blend of natural beauty, convenient amenities, and a vibrant community atmosphere.
The environment at Monument RV Park is a significant draw, primarily due to its proximity to Lake Camanche. As noted by a frequent visitor, the lake level plays a crucial role in the summer experience, with higher levels promising "a blast." While water levels can fluctuate, the anticipation for a "heavy rainy season to fill back up again" speaks to the value placed on the lake's presence. The park itself provides a setting that, while not entirely pristine according to one review mentioning "some litter," is generally described as a "fun camping spot with a decent lake near the Bay Area." This makes it an accessible escape for urban dwellers seeking a quick nature retreat. The natural surroundings are home to "lots of pollen, dust, and critters," which is a common characteristic of outdoor environments and something to be mindful of for those with allergies or sensitivities. Despite these natural elements, the overall sentiment points to a joyful and engaging outdoor setting.
Monument RV Park offers a comprehensive suite of services designed to make your RV camping experience comfortable and enjoyable. The park provides 99 spacious RV sites, primarily equipped with full hookups, including water, sewer, and both 30/50 amp electricity. Each site typically features an asphalt surface, a picnic table, and a fire ring, catering to the essential needs of RV campers. Some sites also offer shade, which is a welcome feature during warmer months. While the immediate reviews don't specify the availability of restrooms and showers directly at Monument RV Park, it is part of the larger Lake Camanche South Shore Recreation Area, which generally provides these facilities, including hot showers and laundry facilities, for campers within its various sections. The presence of a recreation room and a camp store adds to the convenience, providing a place to relax indoors and purchase essential supplies.
Beyond the basic amenities, Monument RV Park stands out with several features that enhance the camping experience. Its prime location near Lake Camanche means direct access to a wealth of water-based activities. Lake Camanche is a substantial body of water, covering 7,700 acres with 54 miles of shoreline, making it ideal for boating, fishing, jet skiing, and wakeboarding. It's often referred to as “the home of the monster fish,” as the reservoir is regularly stocked with bass and trout, some growing to impressive sizes. Fishing boats and kayaks are available for rent, and sandy beaches provide excellent spots for swimming. While leaving water toys unattended in the lake is cautioned against due to potential cleanup, the overall opportunities for water recreation are abundant.
The park is also noted for its recreational trails, offering avenues for outdoor exploration and exercise. For those who enjoy a bit of social interaction, the park seems to foster a friendly atmosphere, with visitors often meeting "nice camp neighbors" and even making "new good friends." This sense of community is a significant feature for those who return frequently. Monument RV Park is a pet-friendly destination, welcoming a maximum of two pets per RV campsite. Pets must be kept on a leash and are not to be left unattended at the site. It is important to note that pets are not allowed on tent sites or in certain cabins, and guests or visitors not registered to an RV site may not bring pets into the park. Pet owners are responsible for noise control and cleanup.
Promotional information for Monument RV Park often highlights its appeal as a year-round destination, with a strong emphasis on value and extended stays. Various deals and promo codes are frequently offered, such as discounts for 3, 4, 5, or 7-night stays, applicable to both cabins and campsites. These promotions, like "3NIGHT" for 15% off a 3-night stay (checking in Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday), "7NIGHT" for 35% off a 7-night consecutive stay, or "EXTFUN" for 50% off a third night when extending a weekend stay, are designed to encourage longer visits and provide significant savings. These deals are particularly attractive for those looking to maximize their outdoor time. The consistent high praise from repeat visitors, with one stating, "We can’t get enuf. We’ve been camping here almost every weekend since August," truly underscores its appeal as a recurring escape. Monument RV Park Reviews
We can’t get enuf. We’ve been camping here almost every weekend since August. Lake level is the highest I have seen in years, so it’s been a blast this summer! Water level has recently dropped pretty low, so fingers crossed for a heavy rainy season to filler back up again. Always meet nice camp neighbors and even made some new good friends!
Oct 15, 2024 · M MFun camping spot with a decent lake near the Bay Area. Go before drought, crowds, and fire ruin the rest of summer. Could be cleaner as there is some litter. Staff were usually good with the exception of an individual with a serious attitude problem. I usually leave water toys in the water but I don't recommend it here or you'll have a serious cleanup when you get home. Lots of pollen, dust, and critters...
Apr 20, 2022 · Chris MGreat rv camp spot it's between the main lake where you can fish and swim and the pond where you can fish and have small water crafts but not swim in (no body contact with the water) full hook site 50 and 30 amps easy walk to the water and the the marina store. The sunset are truly amazing

Jun 11, 2024 · Kymberli LipkeNice deep sites allowing plenty of room for your vehicles. Water level was a bit low but the water was warm and we had a good time on the lake. Verizon cell coverage was spotty. Lots of families and kids running around enjoying themselves and quiet after 10pm. Glad to have full hookups since it was 100+ degrees this weekend.
