Snug Harbor RV Park & Marina Introduce
Snug Harbor RV Park & Marina, located at 3356 Snug Harbor Dr, Walnut Grove, CA 95690, USA, presents itself as a waterfront destination for those searching within the category of "RV parks near me" in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta region. Situated in Walnut Grove, it offers a unique environment with potential access to water-based activities alongside traditional RV camping amenities. You can contact them at (279) 212-6988 or their mobile number, +1 279-212-6988.
The environment of Snug Harbor RV Park & Marina is a significant feature, as indicated by the name and customer reviews. The location on Snug Harbor Drive suggests a direct connection to the water, offering opportunities for "camping, fishing, campfires on the water," as mentioned by one reviewer. This waterfront setting is a distinct advantage for those seeking "RV parks near me" with recreational water access. The Delta region is known for its intricate network of waterways, providing scenic views and opportunities for boating, fishing, and enjoying nature. The mention of campfires on the water further enhances the appeal for those looking for a rustic and engaging outdoor experience. However, it's important to note that the overall cleanliness has been described as "pretty clean" by one reviewer, implying that while generally acceptable, it may not be pristine.
The services and features of Snug Harbor RV Park & Marina appear to be varied. The presence of a marina suggests that boaters will find facilities and potentially services related to docking and watercraft. For campers, the availability of "camp cabins" is mentioned, although one reviewer rated these cabins as "2 stars at best," indicating potentially basic accommodations. Essential camping amenities such as hookups for RVs (electricity, water, and sewer) are typically expected at RV parks, but the reviews do not explicitly confirm these. One positive note mentions a "camp store" which is described as "great," suggesting the availability of basic camping supplies. However, the store apparently does not sell beer, which might be a consideration for some visitors. It is advisable to inquire directly about the specific services and features available for RV campers and marina users.
Customer reviews provide mixed feedback regarding the overall experience at Snug Harbor RV Park & Marina. One reviewer recounted a negative experience involving a cabin stay where the electricity went out during rain, and the response from "maintenance" was deemed unhelpful and rude, ultimately leading to them being advised to go home without any sincere attempt to resolve the issue. This negative interaction significantly impacted their perception of the establishment, despite acknowledging that the location itself was not the worst and a female employee was lovely. This highlights a potential inconsistency in customer service quality.
In contrast, another reviewer who had been there three times mentioned that "the old guy is super nice," but also noted hearing that "a lady can be a grump," again pointing to potential variations in staff demeanor. The positive aspects mentioned include the opportunities for camping, fishing, and campfires on the water, along with the generally acceptable cleanliness and the positive experience at the camp store (excluding the lack of beer). These contrasting experiences suggest that while the location and some aspects of the park are appealing, the quality of service and the condition of the accommodations may be inconsistent.
A practical tip from one reviewer is to "just check if the ferry is running!" This indicates that access to or from Snug Harbor RV Park & Marina might involve a ferry, which could impact travel plans and should be verified before arrival. This is a crucial piece of local information for those considering this location as one of their "RV parks near me," as ferry schedules and availability can vary.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the given data. Therefore, local users interested in Snug Harbor RV Park & Marina should inquire directly about any special rates, seasonal offers, or packages that might be available for RV stays or marina services. Waterfront locations like this might offer unique experiences or promotions related to boating or fishing seasons.
For those searching for "RV parks near me" that offer a blend of camping and marina facilities, Snug Harbor RV Park & Marina presents a potential option in the Walnut Grove area. The allure of waterfront camping and access to the Delta waterways for fishing and boating is a significant draw. However, prospective visitors should be aware of the mixed customer reviews, particularly regarding the quality of the cabin accommodations and the reported issues with customer service. It would be prudent to contact the management directly to inquire about the types of RV sites available, the amenities provided at each site, the condition of any rental cabins, and to get a clear understanding of their policies and customer service approach. Checking the ferry schedule is also essential for smooth travel to and from the location.
In conclusion, Snug Harbor RV Park & Marina offers a waterfront setting in Walnut Grove, CA, appealing to those seeking "RV parks near me" with opportunities for camping, fishing, and marina activities. While the location and some aspects like the camp store and the kindness of certain staff members have been positively noted, potential visitors should be mindful of the reported inconsistencies in accommodation quality and customer service. Verifying the operational status of any necessary ferry and directly inquiring about services, features, and current promotions are recommended steps for anyone considering a stay at Snug Harbor RV Park & Marina.

Snug Harbor RV Park & Marina Reviews
Tried staying at this establishment in November of last year. Not the best experience I must say. The cottage itself was 2 stars at best. The location wasn't the worst but the customer service was beyond grief when we were faced with an issue. I'm speaking up now because I was told a manager would reach out but we never heard from one.Positive note we had a lovely interaction with a female employee there. However the main issue was the fact that when we attempted to stay there and it rained, the electricity went out in our cabin. When we called the "maintenance" line we were offered a flashlight to "ease our problem" and then told it's best if we just went home. No sincerity or attempt to actually help. Yes I get that the weather isn't in your control but the person we spoke to was beyond rude. For a place that's actually pretty sweet the whole experience made us never want to come back.

I've stayed at some dirty camp cabins at other places!Just check if the ferry is running!Camp store is great, no beer.
Mar 03, 2025 · darryl ongI have stayed at Snug harbor for about 10 years in a row now. It’s been an annual 5-day fishing trip I do with my close friends in the month of October. We try to stay in the same cottage (used to be called Snuggle Inns) 40 and 41 every year. Never had any issues the previous 10 years we’ve stayed at Snug Harbor. This year was different. I stayed in cottage 41 and noticed flies in the bedroom the first night. I killed all the flies in the room, but noticed they kept coming back. I looked around the bedroom for some food left behind or something, but didn’t find anything. The 4th night of my stay, I was lying in bed around 5:30am and heard what sounded like little feet. I was thinking to myself, maybe it’s an animal walking outside or something. Around that same time a rat ran across my face. I jumped up and yelled for my friend who came into the room. We looked under the bed and noticed a hole under the box spring where this animal is living. That day we were checking out and I let one of the grounds crew know what had happened. I sent an email to Snug Harbor the next morning and called in. When I called in, I tried to explain what had happened and the guy on the phone cut me off and said, I already got your email so you don’t need to elaborate on it. I asked for a refund on my stay at cottage 41 and he said, he has to submit the refund request, but if it was up to him, it would be a “big fat no”. I said, you had to have noticed the flies in the room every time you go in to clean it along with the animal feces. He said, we can’t control the rats or what they do. He said, you have to agree that this place is a lot cleaner than what it was when you stayed here in years past. He said, that they used to have rats on the counter tops and everywhere and that they have come a long way from that. He said, they had complaints of rats in the couches and the beds before. I told him, they need to get rid of that bed and box spring in cottage 41 and I wanted a refund of my stay in cottage 41. He said, would you take a 1-day refund. I said, I was sleeping with a rat for 4 nights and I wanted a refund for the whole stay as that’s disgusting. I told him, that I have a headache and the runs. He said, if you’re going there, I am not even going to submit your request for a refund and you can call a lawyer. It’s pretty easy for me to find out who owns Snug Harbor to send the complaint directly to them since it sounds like the front office guy isn’t going to move my complaint forward. This is also a concern for me. If the front office guy is blocking complaints from guests, what other complaints is he blocking from management? This will 100% be the last time staying at Snuggle Inn.
Oct 21, 2024 · Dustin FritzThe truth is, Snug Harbor is a secret gem on the Northern Delta. It can be difficult to get to when the ferries are not operational, but is well worth the trouble. Management has been up and down since it was sold to new owners a few years ago, but the newest manager, Richard, is making a huge difference. The grounds are being maintained, the units clean, and customer is service great. I have been coming to Snug for years, and staying here is the best it has ever been.
Sep 25, 2024 · Sandy AlvesLoved it and will recommend it to others. This is a hidden gem. It’s quiet and far from the city. Beautiful views right off of the Sacramento River. The staff is very accommodating and overall just kind. They made us feel welcomed and the hospitality was more than we could ask for. They have a beach with a shower for you and your pet. There are plenty of docks and a boat launch. They have kayak and paddle board rentals. I really enjoyed my time here and am very fond of this charming rv park.
