Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the scenic Rio Vista, California area? Rio Vista RV Park, located at 515 River Rd, Rio Vista, CA 94571, is one option you might come across. They can be reached by phone at (925) 350-4922 or their mobile number, +1 925-350-4922.
When selecting an RV park, especially for longer stays, it's crucial to consider various aspects such as the environment, services, and the experiences of other RVers. Online reviews can provide valuable, albeit sometimes contrasting, perspectives to help you make an informed decision. Let's delve into what some recent customers have shared about Rio Vista RV Park.
One positive review highlights a smooth and welcoming move-in experience. The reviewer mentions that their family began looking at the property in October and praised Felisha Foster for making the process easy from day one. According to this review, Felisha was patient, kind, and answered all their questions thoroughly. The reviewer further notes that Felisha made the deposit and paperwork process seamless and expressed their satisfaction with living at Rio Vista RV Park, specifically acknowledging Felisha's excellent service.
However, another review presents a starkly different experience, raising significant concerns about the park's management and maintenance. This reviewer, who states they live at Rio Vista RV Park, reports being three days into a gas leak that has not been fixed. This critical issue has left them without heat, hot water, and a functioning stove, preventing them from even boiling water. The reviewer claims that the manager has been unresponsive, and the owners' voicemail is not accepting calls. Based on this experience, the reviewer strongly advises others against moving to Rio Vista RV Park, alleging that the owners seem to neglect the park's appearance and operation. This reviewer does note a positive aspect, mentioning that the residents of the park are "VERY nice and polite" and that they love their neighbors. The reviewer also states they have documented proof of their claims.
These two reviews offer contrasting viewpoints, which is not uncommon. However, the serious nature of the unaddressed gas leak reported in the second review should be a significant consideration for potential residents. Gas leaks can pose serious safety hazards, and a lack of prompt response to such issues indicates a potential disregard for resident well-being and safety protocols.
When evaluating "RV parks near me," especially for longer-term stays, it's essential to inquire about the park's policies and procedures regarding maintenance and emergency response. A well-managed RV park should have clear protocols for addressing issues like gas leaks promptly and efficiently to ensure the safety and comfort of its residents.
Beyond immediate safety concerns, the second review also mentions the general upkeep and operation of the park. The claim that "the owners seem to not care about how this place looks or operates" suggests potential issues with the overall environment and amenities. The specific example of the laundry room being "wide open all night long, making it a perfect refuge for stray cats and homeless," raises concerns about security, hygiene, and the management's attention to maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
For those searching for "RV parks near me" that offer a comfortable and secure living environment, these details are crucial. A well-maintained laundry facility is a basic expectation in most RV parks, and security measures should be in place to prevent unauthorized access and ensure the safety of residents and their belongings.
The positive feedback regarding the move-in process and the kindness of the residents is a silver lining. A friendly and helpful staff member like Felisha can significantly ease the transition into a new community. Furthermore, a positive sense of community among residents can enhance the overall living experience in an RV park.
However, the serious allegations in the negative review cannot be ignored. A prolonged, unaddressed gas leak is a critical issue that outweighs a smooth move-in process or friendly neighbors. Potential residents need to weigh these contrasting experiences carefully.
When looking for "RV parks near me," it's advisable to consider the following factors:
- Availability of essential utilities (water, electricity, sewer, gas if applicable) and their reliability.
- Maintenance of the grounds, roads, and common areas.
- Cleanliness and security of facilities like restrooms, showers, and laundry rooms.
- Responsiveness and effectiveness of the park management.
- Safety and security measures in place.
- Rules and regulations of the park.
- Amenities offered (e.g., Wi-Fi, recreational areas, pet policies).
- Proximity to local services and attractions.
- Cost of site rental and any additional fees.
Given the conflicting reviews for Rio Vista RV Park, potential residents should take extra steps to gather more information. This could include:
- Visiting the park in person to assess the environment and facilities.
- Speaking with current residents to get a broader range of opinions.
- Directly contacting the management to inquire about their policies on maintenance, safety, and emergency procedures, specifically addressing the issues raised in the negative review.
- Checking for any recent updates or responses from the management regarding the reported gas leak and other concerns.
For those specifically looking for "RV parks near me" in the Rio Vista area, it might be beneficial to explore other options as well to compare the services, amenities, and overall reputation of different parks. Online RV park directories and forums can be valuable resources for finding and comparing different locations and reading additional reviews.
In conclusion, Rio Vista RV Park has received both positive feedback regarding the move-in process and the friendliness of residents, as well as a serious negative review detailing an unaddressed gas leak and concerns about management responsiveness and park maintenance. Potential residents searching for "RV parks near me" should carefully consider these contrasting experiences and conduct thorough due diligence before making a decision. It is recommended to seek further information and potentially explore other RV park options in the Rio Vista area to ensure a safe and comfortable living experience.

Rio Vista RV Park Reviews
My family and I just moved into Rio Vista RV park- we began looking at the property in October and from day 1 Felisha Foster made the process easy, she answered every question (sometimes more than once) and was patient and kind. Once we decided it was the right place she also made the deposit and the paperwork process smooth has possible. We moved in and we love it here! Thank you again Felisha for everything you really are great!
Nov 15, 2024 · Danielle GuptillI live at Rio Vista RV Park. I am now three days into a gas leak which hasn't been fixed. This leaves me with no heat, no hot water and no stove. I can't even boil water. The manager won't respond and the owners have a voicemail which won't take calls. Please, whatever you do, don't ever move here. The owners seem to not care about how this place looks or operates. The laundry room is wide open all night long making it a perfect refuge for stray cats and homeless. Having said all this, the people who LIVE here are VERY nice and polite. I love my neighbors. I have documented proof of everything I have said.
