Delta Shores Resort & Marina Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Isleton, California area, particularly one that combines RV accommodations with marina facilities and access to the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, Delta Shores Resort & Marina, located at 601 Brannan Island Rd, Isleton, CA 95641, is a destination to consider. You can reach them at (916) 777-5577 or via mobile at +1 916-777-5577 to inquire about reservations and specific details.
Based on the available customer reviews, Delta Shores Resort & Marina presents a somewhat mixed experience. One visitor with a Class B Camper Van enjoyed a President’s Day weekend at the resort, describing it as "nice" and "very quiet." They also praised the host, Lynn, as "very pleasant" and found the bathroom and shower facilities to be "very clean with hot water." This reviewer highlighted the resort's appeal for those interested in boating and fishing, given its marina access. The proximity to the nearby towns of Isleton and Walnut Grove was also seen as a plus, with a specific recommendation to visit Mel’s ice cream in Walnut Grove. However, this positive experience was tempered by a dislike for the "uneven soft grass ground" at their site.
In stark contrast, another reviewer recounted a significantly negative experience. They had made a reservation months in advance but were informed upon arrival that no sewer sites were available due to a broken tank, which they noted seemed to only affect the section available to Coast to Coast members. While this was not a major issue for their two-day stay, they were considerably more critical of the park's maintenance and customer service. They mentioned that the mowing seemed to occur only on the day before their departure and that the grounds appeared to have been unmowed for some time. Consequently, they had to clean grass clippings off their RV after the mowing was done around their rig. This reviewer likened the customer service to that of a cable company and strongly advised others to "stay away" and "don't bother with this pit," also mentioning the state of the driveway.
Adding to their negative experience, this reviewer later stated they were accused of "yelling" at the front desk and making someone cry when they asked for a manager, reportedly raising their voice due to the noise from the mowers. They described their experience at Delta Shores Resort & Marina as "hands down, the most horrible experience I have ever had with park personnel" during 3.5 years of being on the road and reiterated their strong recommendation against visiting.
Given these divergent experiences, it is crucial for potential visitors to weigh both the positive aspects and the reported negative issues when considering Delta Shores Resort & Marina. The potential benefits include a quiet environment, clean bathroom facilities, pleasant staff (at least in one instance), and excellent access for boating and fishing in the Delta. The proximity to charming nearby towns like Isleton and Walnut Grove offers opportunities for exploration and local experiences.
However, the negative feedback raises concerns about site availability upon arrival (despite reservations), the upkeep of the grounds (specifically mowing), and potentially significant issues with customer service and conflict resolution. The mention of uneven and soft ground on some sites is also a practical consideration for RV setup and stability.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of Delta Shores Resort & Marina, prospective visitors should contact the management directly and inquire about the following aspects:
- Site Availability and Types: Inquire about the different types of RV sites available (e.g., with or without sewer hookups), their layout, and the surface conditions. Confirm site availability, especially if booking in advance, and understand their policies regarding site assignments and potential issues like broken utilities.
- Marina and Water Access: Get details about the marina facilities. Are there docking fees? What type of boats can be accommodated? What is the access like for fishing from the shore or from boats?
- Cleanliness and Maintenance: Ask about the regular maintenance schedule for the grounds, including mowing. What are their procedures for ensuring the cleanliness of the RV sites and common areas?
- Bathroom and Shower Facilities: Confirm the cleanliness and availability of the bathroom and shower facilities, as one reviewer found them satisfactory.
- Customer Service Policies: Understand their approach to customer service, how they handle complaints or issues, and what procedures are in place for resolving conflicts.
- Park Rules and Regulations: Inquire about the park's rules regarding check-in/check-out times, noise levels, pet policies, and any other regulations that might affect your stay.
- Proximity to Local Attractions: Get more details about the nearby towns of Isleton and Walnut Grove and other attractions in the area.
- Ground Conditions: If the uneven and soft grass ground is a concern, inquire about the conditions of different sites and if there are options for more level or firmer ground.
Since no promotional information was available in the provided reviews, it is essential to ask the management directly about any current incentives, discounts for longer stays, or special offers when you contact them.
Delta Shores Resort & Marina offers the appealing combination of RV accommodations and marina access in the scenic California Delta. The potential for boating, fishing, and exploring nearby towns could make it an attractive destination. However, the significant negative feedback regarding site availability issues, maintenance, and customer service should not be overlooked. Prospective visitors are strongly advised to contact the management directly to address these concerns and gather current information before making a reservation. It may also be helpful to seek out more recent reviews from other sources to get a broader perspective on the current state of the resort.
In conclusion, Delta Shores Resort & Marina in Isleton, CA, offers a riverside experience with marina facilities and access to nearby towns. While some visitors have enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, clean facilities, and pleasant staff, others have reported significant issues with site availability, maintenance, and customer service. Delta Shores Resort & Marina Reviews
We have a class B Camper Van and enjoyed the President’s Day weekend at Delta Shores Resort and Marina. It was a nice weekend, very quiet and the host, Lynn was very pleasant. Bathroom and shower very clean with hot water. If you like boating and fishing, this is the place. Isleton and Walnut Grove towns nearby. Mel’s ice cream in Walnut Grove worth visiting. I had 2 shots of espresso with a scoop of bing cherry ice cream was my choice replacing my daily hot coffee. The only thing we didn’t like was the uneven soft grass ground.
Feb 23, 2025 · Deniece KWe made our reservation months ago, when we arrived the staff said there were no sewer sites available, due to a broken tank. However, it was only broken in the section available to coast to coast. We were only there two days so no big. Theafternoon before we left seemed to be the only day they could mow, the place hadn't been mowed for a while. So, I had to go out and clean the grass off my RV from where they had to mow right around my rig. This place has all the customer service of an cable company, stay away, don't bother with this pitSo, now I've been accused of "yelling" at the front desk, and making her cry.First off, I asked for a manager, I had to raise my voice a bit because of the mowers.I have been on the road for 3 1/2 years, hands down, the most horrible experience I have ever had with park personnel. This is a horrible place, please don't even think about coming here , not to mention the drivewayNo
Apr 05, 2025 · Keith FarrisNothing like pulling up to a campground after a day of driving only to find out their sewer is overflowing & their water has been out for 3 days so you gotta start calling campgrounds all over the place to see if they have a last minute space available.I was excited to stay here, too. Never again. Also, FYI... there is a very steep descent down to the campground. Larger rigs could get damaged!
Mar 22, 2025 · L BMLynn was an awesome host! He made us feel so welcomed and gave us the perfect rundown of the resort. We loved staying here and look forward to coming back soon! This location was easy to access, had an awesome private dock we fished off of (and had some good catches!) we even got to do a little paddle boarding when the current wasn't too strong! Clean and comfortable cabin! We didn't use all the amenities, but loved having access to them. It was a nice peaceful getaway that wasn't crowded! Thank you again Lynn for your hospitality! (:
Sep 17, 2024 · Olivea MurilloOne of the reasons we like Delta Shores RV Park is the grass is always green, very friendly people, great staff, very safe park and lots of birds and water are close by.
