Stars & Moon Art Park, Marina & Resort Introduce
Welcome to Stars & Moon Art Park, Marina & Resort, located along the waterways at 1100 W Brannan Island Rd in Isleton, California. For local users and travelers searching for "RV parks near me" with a unique twist, Stars & Moon offers a blend of marina facilities, an art park, and diverse accommodation options. This destination appears to cater to those seeking a less traditional camping or lodging experience, with opportunities to engage with art and enjoy the waterfront environment. However, recent customer feedback highlights some significant concerns regarding the park's infrastructure and management that prospective visitors should carefully consider.
One of the standout features of Stars & Moon, as described by a reviewer, is the variety of experiences available along the waterways. Notably, it offers the unique opportunity to "sleep in a really cool boat" or "set up a tent," providing alternatives to traditional RV camping. This suggests that the resort caters to a broad range of preferences, from those seeking a novel overnight stay in a boat to those who prefer a more rustic tent camping experience. This diversity in accommodation is a distinctive aspect that sets Stars & Moon apart from typical RV parks.
The name itself, "Stars & Moon Art Park," suggests a strong emphasis on artistic engagement. The same reviewer mentions that visitors "might want to get to the studio and art a bit," indicating the presence of an art studio on-site where guests can explore their creative side. This integration of an art park with marina and resort facilities offers a unique cultural dimension that could be particularly appealing to artists and art enthusiasts seeking a getaway.
However, alongside these unique offerings, a different reviewer presents a starkly contrasting experience, detailing several significant issues with the park's infrastructure and management. This feedback raises serious concerns for anyone considering a stay at Stars & Moon Art Park, Marina & Resort.
The reviewer reports that the "garbage service cut off," and the "alternative system has been a failure." This suggests a breakdown in basic sanitation services, which can significantly impact the comfort and hygiene of guests. Furthermore, they describe the water as "nasty," stating that it was unusable for a week. The fact that guests were reportedly "still pay for both" the non-functional garbage service and the unusable water, without any offered alternative from the owner, indicates a potential disregard for guest satisfaction and fairness.
The reviewer also mentions being told that the "owner has to put in all new pipes" for the water system, but there has been "no word on that, no sign of work." This lack of communication and action regarding essential infrastructure repairs is concerning, as it suggests unresolved and potentially ongoing issues with basic utilities.
Adding to these problems, the reviewer claims that the owner's "focus is on his use of space, which has all kinds of equipment & trucks running many days, noise, dust, ground shaking." This paints a picture of a potentially disruptive environment due to ongoing activities related to the owner's personal use of the property, which could detract significantly from the peace and quiet that guests might expect from a waterfront resort.
The reviewer further alleges that the owner had the "nerve to want us to do more work to help him," and made claims about the cost of fixing the water that the reviewer found "insulting" and indicative of the owner thinking they were "that ignorant." These accusations suggest a potentially strained relationship between the owner and guests, with concerns about fairness and transparency.
Finally, the reviewer reports that the "owner has also raised rent twice in the little over a yr he's been here," indicating a potential pattern of increasing costs for residents or long-term guests, which could be a significant factor for those considering an extended stay.
Considering these contrasting reviews, Stars & Moon Art Park, Marina & Resort appears to be a location with a unique concept – combining waterfront access, art, and unconventional accommodations. However, the serious allegations regarding failing infrastructure (garbage and water), disruptive noise and activity from the owner's operations, questionable interactions with management, and rent increases raise significant red flags for prospective visitors. While the allure of sleeping in a boat or engaging with art by the waterways might be appealing, the fundamental issues reported by a long-term guest cannot be ignored.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Isleton, Stars & Moon at 1100 W Brannan Island Rd offers a different kind of experience. However, the negative feedback concerning basic services and management practices suggests that potential guests should proceed with extreme caution and seek detailed and recent information before making any reservations or commitments.
Given the severity of the issues reported, it is strongly recommended that anyone considering a stay at Stars & Moon Art Park, Marina & Resort contact the facility directly to inquire about the current status of their garbage and water services, any ongoing infrastructure repairs, and the general environment of the park. It would also be wise to seek recent feedback from other guests to get a more comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of the visitor experience.
Potential questions to ask the management would include:
- What is the current status of the garbage disposal system?
- Is the water supply safe and potable? If there were issues, have they been resolved?
- Are there any ongoing infrastructure repairs that might affect guests?
- What are the typical noise levels and activities on the property?
- What are the rates for RV spots, boat stays, and tent camping?
- Are there any additional fees or charges?
- What are the policies regarding long-term stays and rent increases?
- What amenities are currently available to guests (e.g., restrooms, showers, Wi-Fi)?
- What are the hours and accessibility of the art studio?
In conclusion, Stars & Moon Art Park, Marina & Resort in Isleton, CA, offers a unique blend of waterfront accommodation and artistic opportunities that might appeal to certain travelers. However, significant concerns have been raised by a recent guest regarding the park's infrastructure, management practices, and overall environment. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" should carefully weigh the potential appeal of its unique offerings against the serious issues reported and conduct thorough due diligence before considering a stay at this facility.

Garbage service cut off, alternative system has been a failure. Water is nasty, we couldn't use it for a week. We still pay for both, owner didn't offer any alternative. His focus is on his use of space, which has all kinds of equipment & trucks running many days, noise, dust, ground shaking. Then he has the nerve to want us to do more work to help him. He claimed it would cost him more than he had to fix the water, as if they don't take payments. It'sinsulting that he thinks we are that ignorant.
