Based on recent customer feedback, this campground appears to offer a well-maintained environment with friendly service and a blend of accessibility and tranquility.
One reviewer who had a brief overnight stay noted that the campground appeared "maintained and a nice place to camp." They also highlighted the ease of communication with the office, particularly appreciating a call from Tracy providing the gate code for their after-hours arrival. This suggests efficient and considerate customer service. While their specific gravel lot required some leveling, they reported good water pressure and no issues with electricity. It's worth noting that this reviewer did not find information about WiFi and was unable to connect, though they mentioned strong T-Mobile and Verizon signals, which is a plus for those needing cellular connectivity.
Another camper expressed a strong positive sentiment, stating, "Love this campground!" They praised its "great location" that offers proximity to various amenities and shopping, along with quick access to the highway, while still maintaining a "quiet and peaceful" atmosphere. This balance of convenience and tranquility is a significant draw for many looking for "camping near me."
This reviewer also described the grounds as "lush and shaded with lots of flowers and large trees," painting a picture of a pleasant and natural environment. This suggests that Quinebaug Cove Campground offers a visually appealing setting with ample shade, which can be particularly desirable during the warmer months. The presence of flowers adds to the aesthetic appeal of the campground.
However, this same reviewer cautioned that some of the roads within the campground can be narrow, and there are slopes leading to certain areas, such as the Eagle's Nest or Beach areas. They advised that owners of larger RVs might want to double-check accessibility when selecting a site in these locations. This is important information for those camping with larger vehicles to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience.
On the positive side, the reviewer consistently found the bathhouses and other areas to be "always clean," indicating a commitment to hygiene and maintenance. They also commended the staff for doing a "great job taking care of the park and its guests," reinforcing the positive impression of customer service hinted at by the first reviewer. Additionally, they mentioned that the "activities and amenities are good" and that the staff is continually looking for ways to enhance them, suggesting an ongoing effort to provide a well-rounded camping experience.

Potential considerations include the need for leveling on some gravel sites and the possibility of limited or no WiFi access. Additionally, owners of large RVs should inquire about site accessibility, particularly in the Eagle's Nest and Beach areas, due to narrow roads and slopes.

Quinebaug Cove Campground Reviews
We arrived after hours and left early the next morning, so we didn’t take the time to explore this campground. Our quick take is that it’s maintained and a nice place to camp. Communication with the office was easy and since we arrived after hours, Tracy called to give us the gate code. Our gravel lot needed some work to get level, particularly front to back. The water pressure was good and there were no problems with electric. The paperwork left for us didn’t mention wifi and we weren’t able to make a connection. T-Mobile and Verizon signals were strong.
Aug 26, 2024 · angela kLove this campground! Great location that is close to various amenities and shopping along with quick access to the highway, but it's still quiet and peaceful. The grounds are lush and shaded with lots of flowers and large trees. Be aware that there are some narrow roads and slopes to get into various areas, so larger RVs may want to double check accessibility when choosing a site, especially in the Eagle's Nest or Beach areas. The bathhouses and other areas are always clean and the staff does a great job taking care of the park and its guests. Activities and amenities are good and I know the staff are always trying to see where they can do more. Definitely recommend a visit!
May 30, 2024 · Lauren MorleyIn a 35-foot 5th wheel, we fit ok, not great. Good for an overnight but wouldn't stay for a week. Town is close by with a good small market, and there is a great BBQ place back by the interstate. The campground has great laundry facilities and a huge dvd collection. And an ice-cream shop. The sites are close together, and if someone is out talking to 1am, you hear everything. I would also recommend asking what site they are booking for you, some are up a hill on a narrow road.
Sep 15, 2024 · DacksWe stay in that campground on September 1st to Sept 2nd of 2024 and departing early.Campground location is close to Sturbridge Village, which is what we looked to visit, but the Village open between Wednesday to Sunday, we missed it on Sunday, that was the motive to live early.Friendly front desk give me map and instructions from the campgroundHookup Water and electricity was good no problem :)Unfortunately they have NO WI-FI on the campground to connect my ROKU TVs.The beach Area has a little portion of sand and lot of mud, without mention lots algae floating on the water no suitable for swimming. The beach area needs improvement to park vans and small RV's and replace the loud noise music come from the groupings tents close to the beach. The seasonal tenants keep the place organized and clean :)The swimming pool is greatWith the WI-FI and the beach problem be fixed that campground will be very well recommended to my friends and relatives for sure :)
Sep 05, 2024 · Luiz Hair SalonWe absolutely loved this campground and the little cabin we stayed in. The pool was very clean, as well as the beach for fishing and our site, and the staff was very friendly. I would make sure to call ahead to find out what time the registration office is open until. The day we were checking in the website said 8, but it was actually 5. They called us when we weren't there by 4:30 and were very accommodating to help us check in after hours! We will be back next year!
