Lost Duchman Mining Assoc. Reviews
This was my first time here. When I arrived I was greeted with a warm friendly smile. I said I would like to pan. I paid my $20 day pass fees and was shown around to the pay piles that they had set up around the area. I panned dirt from many piles and many places from each pile. Unfortunately I did not find one spec of gold during my 2.5 hrs there. Thinking back, I now know why the gentleman kept reiterating a friendly suggestion for me to head over and join the campers on the other side. I know think that he knew I would not find anything. I am an experienced panner and have panned fines as small as a tiny fraction of the size of the head of a pin. I really wanted to buy a lifetime membership as I will be visiting my relatives in Georgia more often and it is hard finding places to pan in Georgia. My take is that this place might be better suited for camping and fishing.
Oct 26, 2021 · Timmy GWe had a great time at the loud mine. The campground was quiet and peaceful. Close enough for convenience, but remote enough to be silent. The camp host and assistant were awesome, took great care of newbies. We mined for two days and found some gold.
Nov 17, 2024 · Joe KelleySignage on highway is very easy to miss. Small sign with arrow. No close turnaround if your pulling a rv. Narrow turn off hway. Smooth dirt road to property. Water and electric. 30 amp. NO Sewer. Dump up hill next to showers. Level hookups next to ponds get slick when raining. Very quiet and clean. Helpful hosts. Verizon cell phone has one bar. No Wi-Fi !! Dish signal is unobstructed.
