Bumble Bee RV Park & Campground Reviews
Rooms N/A as we camped there. Campground host was very friendly and accommodating guiding us to our site. Bathhouse was very clean and fresh smelling. Surrounding areas beautiful and we enjoyed hiking at the State Parks (Deep Creek and swallow falls)
Sep 25, 2024 · Sandra RaspAwesome little campground, clean bathrooms and showers. We stayed for 10 days in our 41 foot fifth wheel after selling our house and getting ready to travel. It was super cozy. We had site 8 which had a small privacy fence with nice trees to make you feel like you had your own little oasis. Bill the camp host was top notch and extremely helpful. We went for 5 mile walks each day on the trails next to HART animal place but accessed it by walking right across the street from the campground straight up the road until it ends and you can pick them up from there. Farmer's market every Friday was awesome and groceries with all good restaurants 5 minutes away by the lake. They were just finishing up the Bee Hives which I’m sure will be a hit each having their own sauna. We will be back!
Aug 20, 2024 · Debra ButnerI was pleasantly surprised with this adorable campground. My family and I stayed here for the 4th of July holiday in our RV. We received the red carpet from the manager during our stay that made our family's visit one to remember. The bath house was very clean and well maintained. My husband and son visited the game room, which they said was very affordable, comfortable, and nice and cool with the A/C. There was plenty of overflow parking near our site for guests and neighbors. The nearby county airport was fairly quiet, too, with only a few small planes flying overhead one day out of the five we were there. The location was perfect, being only 5-10 minutes from Wisp resort, shopping, restaurants, and 16 minutes to Deep Creek Lake State Park. The campground is also nestled into the woods, which made it feel secluded, private, and natural. We will definitely be back!
Jul 11, 2024 · Kara CadenheadWe had a good stay for our mini vaca. Bill was very helpful and friendly as the manager there and made sure your stay was comfortable. Another camper negligently hit the water pedestal shutting down water to the whole campground, but they were quick to address the issue and had the water on in a few hrs after the accident. Our spot was a little tight from what we're used too but overall we had a good experience. The campground is far enough away from the traffic of the lake for seclusion. We will return again.
Aug 08, 2024 · JesseWe had a lovely Thurs - Sun stay at Bumble Bee! We chose a pull thru spot, full hook ups. It was a small site but still had everything we needed. We had our dog with us (three total between us and our friends) and it was a nice area for walking them with the trails that they had in the woods at the campground. We also had two toddlers with us, between ourselves and our friends, and two side by side pull thru spots. The campground was smaller with not as many "amenities" as some may want for kids, but we did not need them as we spent a lot of the days exploring. Bill, the host, was excellent. Greeted us upon arrival, had us follow him to our spot and helped my husband park. It was super close to everything we wanted to see - including the beach and swallow falls area (about a 15-20 min drive for both of those), there were spots to grab dinner and ice cream also within 5-10 min drive. the campground was so peaceful and quiet. There was a small camp store and also a small game room and a play area for the kids. We would definitely go back!
