Sleepy Hollow Campground Reviews
Wonderful campground if you want a rustic place to stay. We always take our camper, but I am sure the cabins are nice, too. Electric at the sites, but water has to be filled near the bathhouse. Sewer is available to dump, if you have a portable black tank, near the bathhouse. The sites are amazing due to the trees and they are spaced out a little. This is a quiet place to come and disconnect from the world. Lots of things to do in the local towns and the state park is just over a mile away. The staff are always so nice and very helpful. I can't think of a better place to stay.
Apr 30, 2025 · matthew vilnitExtremely kind staff. Spoke to the owner twice during our stay mostly just to check and see if we were okay due to the freezing temps. The cabins were fine after a little bit of heating. It feels really homey inside with beautiful decorations. We've never been to Maryland and the beauty here is amazing. We camped through a snowstorm here and are very glad to be here. The bathrooms were clean and warm the camp store was really cool and there is plenty of firewood! We will for sure be coming back when we can!
Nov 23, 2024 · Andy clawThis is an amazing getaway. My family of 4, 2 dogs and 2 of my kids friends stayed here for 2 nights in Nov 2024 in the large safari cabin. It was perfect for us.We carried a small grill and electric cooker that helped us stay and cook indoors when it was super cold in the morning. The cabin was clean and minimally designed and it was perfect. The bathroom was not too far. There was a sink to wash utensils by the side of the bathroom. We used the outdoor grill at nights. There are small heaters in the room and it dropped to 35F but we were fine since we carried extra blankets. The cabin did get a bit chilly though. We did drive around to Wisp Ski Park and it was fun to do the mountain coaster. We also visited the Casselman Bridge. I love that this place is secluded so you could really relax in nature. There are grocery stores around 20minutes away which was not too bad if you forgot something.Angie was great at communicating and accommodating our last minute date change request. Already recommending this jewel to my friends and we will surely visit again.
Nov 06, 2024 · Priti DSilvaThis family campground is one of the last of its kind and was absolutely FABULOUS for our wedding weekend. The owners are a delight to talk to and answer any questions, we had a very large crew booking for our weekend wedding at New Germany State Park and they were so accommodating and excited for us.The cabins are PERFECT, the most comfortable mattresses I’ve ever slept on while traveling. The views there were perfect for our getting ready photos, we had all of the cabins rented out. The two small cabins were perfect for our bridal party with small kids, the medium cabins were spacious enough for the rest of the bridal party and had enough room for 6 girls to do hair, makeup, and get dressed in.The tent sites are well dispersed and spread out.The RV sites were a little uneven but we were able to make it work without issue! The “Glamp” store was adorable and had tons of goodies that you could’ve forgotten.Bathhouse was super clean, water was HOT, and toilet paper was stocked! If you’re looking to unplug a bit in nature but not be completely without service or amenities THIS is the campground for you!We cannot thank you guys enough for being so awesome! Camp Prince will be back in 2025 !
Sep 29, 2024 · Jennifer NorrisCamped here for an extended weekend trip. We were in town for a wedding and this spot was relatively close to the wedding venue. The campground is a quaint little spot tucked in the woods. Our particular spot was nice and spacious. There are stone firepits at each site and ours had a wood bench built around it. We were greeted by a relative of the owners upon arrival who was very kind and assisted us with our water fill up. There's fresh cut firewood available. Shower house is clean enough. We'd definitely stay here again.
